What is sexual assault?
It is any form of nonconsented sexual act. It includes rape, attempted rape, molesting, forced kissing, and sexting. It can also be verbal or visual. Examples of this are voyeurism (when someone watches private sexual acts), exhibitionism (when someone exposes him/herself in public), incest (sexual contact between family members), and sexual harassment. * It can even be sexually inappropriate instant messages, e-mails, or any other form of internet communication. (You would know if you saw some of the trolls in the GD.)
When is it considered sexual assault?
When they don't have your permission.
When you are physically forced into it.
When you are threatened into it.
When you were begged into it and you give in.
When you are drugged and they do it.
When you are drunk
When you are mentally incapacitated (as with some disorder, or a state like grief)
When you are asleep
When they attempt to rape you but fail.
When you are forced to watch someone else be sexually abused
What is rape?
According to Dictionary.com, it is "any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person." (I did not choose the first definition because it practically said only women can be raped. That's not true. Men can also be raped.) More into detail, it is a "type of sexual assault in which your v****a, a**s, or mouth is penetrated by a p***s or any other object without your consent, by threat of bodily harm, or when you are unable to give consent." * Rape is commonly associated with sexual assault.
Statutory rape is "rape consisting of sexual intercourse with a person beneath an age (as 14 years) specified by statute."

Also, silence does not constitute consent!
