attempt one two and three
I found some info that said warm water helps open the pores of the leather. Apparently boiling water turns leather into chew toys

I was going for a bird of prey type beak on this one but i think it turned out looking more like a penguin.

Critiques and ideas welcome. Be brutal. If you don't tell me that it sucks then who will?

The first one (assuming it was a first attempt) sucks lol
The second, I LOVE the brow structure, but the edges seem to need a little refining. The eye holes should be more cat like, I think...
The third is gorgeous. It reminds me of Italian doctors masks. (They would put herbs in the elongated snout to keep them healthy when dealing with sick patients to protect themselves) I love the sleek angles of it. I can't wait to see more!!

funny you should say that about the dr mask. I have plans for a full sized one with goggles for eyes much like the original. I am also going to tool and paint it so that there are posies at the end of the beak and it will shift into what looks likes diseased flesh on the face. So what i am wearing for halloween

I quite like it white.. something mysterious about it.. but I can't wait to see what it looks like painted and tooled!! Sounds like it's gunna be legit!
