I was typing an extremely looooong and philosophical answer to this yesterday when my computer overheated and crapped out again. Oh well. =/

Both Monsters and Robots can be left up to so many different interpretations. A primordial monster, a man-made mutant monster, a person who's an awful human being... Then we have pilotable robots, self-aware robots that turn on their human creators, and robots with Pinocchio complexes...

I have always been completely partial to robots. After all, even Mobile Suits can have tentacles. <3
