You are no God to me! You are nothing to me! This is the reckoning!
Enjoy this while it lasts! It won't be long before it dies!
It's Time. Cross took a deep breath before running out onto the stage as the crowd simply exploded, after a moment of being puzzled because of the unfamiliar music, as "The Redeemer" was more known for the good things he had done in his career than the bad. Needless to say, Chris loved it when the crowd reacted as they were right now, as nothing pumped him up more than a hot crowd. This evident from the big smile that was plastered across The Redeemer's face, though what was less evident was his heart racing inside his chest. This was why he loved this business. This feeling.
You've stolen lives, and broken dreams! No man can be a deity!
You are no god to me! This is a Reckoning! You are nothing to be me! This is a Reckoning!
Chris walked about half way down the ramp, before falling to his knees and performing the sign of the cross, before entering a prayer position, ala Shawn Michaels. As he popped up from his knees to his feet, pyro went off behind him, moving from one side of the stage to the other, changing into a multitude of different colors as it went.
"Making his way to the ring, weighing in at 208 Pounds, The Redeemer, Christopher Cross!"
Was the Penance not enough? Was Faith not enough? No man can be a deity!
You are no God to me! This is a Reckoning! You are nothing to me! This is a Reckoning! And I will be there, To see you fall! You are no God to me! There is a Reckoning!
He now had made his way down the ramp, smiling at all the fans he passed, trying to get as many of their hands slapped and touched as he could. They deserved the attention, because if not for them, what would he be? Some idiot that got inside a converted boxing ring and threw himself at another man like he was freshly escaped from the mental ward? Mayhaps. He motions around his waist, making his intentions known, before resuming the interaction with the fans. Chris finally reached the ring and ran up the steps and along the apron, before gripping the top rope and looking back at the fans for a moment. He pulled back on the top rope and threw himself over, landing back on the mat near the middle of the rope.
The betrayed will now see the truth! That the broken-hearted will finally heal! You will be judged! You will be found wanting! And we'll be there to see you fall!
He quickly went about climbing the turnbuckles and performing the sign of the cross on each, much to the delight of his fans. He was going into the great unknown, at least for him. He had never faced Kelly King, though he always hoped this day would come. Did Cross have what it takes to climb this mountain, and claim his first significant singles gold since he became Christopher Cross? Or would he just fizzle out, like so many bright flames before him? Would he walk out the same man? Or would he exit this ring a champion? Only time would tell. Chris stands on the far side of the ring, looking up towards the entrance.
You are no God to me! This is a Reckoning! You are nothing to me! This is a Reckoning! And I will be there to see you fall! You are no God to me! There is a Reckoning!

Careful What You Wish... Careful What You Say. Careful What You Wish You May Regret It Careful What You Wish You Just Might Get It! Then It All Crashes Down! And You Break Your Crown! And You Point Your Finger But Theres No One Around! Just Want One Thing. Just to Be The King! But The Castles Crumbled And You're Left With Just A Name. Wheres Your Crown King Nothing![ And the opponent. From Covington, Washington. Weighing it at 223 pounds... Kelly King 2 . 0! ]
A golden pyro detonates above the stage of the Pheonix Gate entrance, and rains down a light burning rain. The shade of 2.0 appears behind the golden...er... shower... as 2.0 walks through it, protected by his cloak. He takes off his hood and throws out his arms with his hand sign, his thumb, pointer, and middle fingers extended, as the fans boo him. He knows that tonight could very well be the night he cashes in on his promise to win the Pheonix Gate championship. King starts a slow walk down the ring, as this would be the first time he has faced Christopher Cross one on one.
2.0 slides into the ring, losing his cloak as he does so, and completely ignores Cross as he heads to his favorite corner. King climbs up onto the middle rope and kisses the back of his fingers before taunting the booing crowd with his signal. He smirks at them, signalling for gold around his waist, and then turns around, standing on the middle rope and looking at Cross. He signals again for the gold, calling obscenities at his opponent.

Cross doesn't take his eyes off of King, ignoring any and all obscenities hurled his way. He wasn't here to play a rousing game of yo momma, he was here to win the championship. He knew he was the underdog going into this fight, and he had to have faith that this was one of those stories, where the underdog prevails, and the fans go home happy. Chris gets himself into a lower stance, as he awaits the bell. Edit so I don't double post, made at 7:54 A.M. Central Time on Sunday the 21st of February 2010: ((I really need to learn to never make a post where I am just waiting, because then I can't take any auto-hits. That, consequently, makes it look like I too haven't posted in a few days. But it's cool. Everyone has reasons. It's not like doing this is the center of anyone's life. And if it is, I am sorry for offending whoever you are, person who is reading this post and feeling sorry for yourself, but it is pretty sad.))

((Gotta get this started...)) The bell rings and right out of the gate, Cross comes at King with a running dropkick. Might as well start off with something impactful, since he was usually known to start with some kind of lock-up.

((Sorry man, my internet was down most of last week.))
2.0 locked up with Cross, trying to push him back into a corner.

((It's cool. Happens. I also think I may have worded my post in a confusing manner. But I will go with it!)) Instead of his planned dropkick, it would appear that King and Cross locked up. Chris immediately tried to get 2.0 in a hammerlock, which would then turn into a modified leg sweep.

((Man, I feel like an idiot xd ))
2.0 was slipped into a hammerlock, and then taken down with the leg sweep next to immediately.
