So after about a year, I decided to name my new sax today.
I knew that she was a girl, and I wanted to have either a short name, or a long weird name like Ursula. I decided to stick with the short name idea.
I was fooling around while practicing today, and started playing the Harry Potter theme song when it hit me. I should go with a Harry Potter name! So I knew it was a girl, and that I wanted a short name, so I went with Luna. smile
So what do you guys think of that? Good name? Bad name? Any similar stories?

My Claribelle got her name when I was cleaning her out and realized how shiny the silver ring around her bell was. I thought about naming her Belle, but it was too simple, so I added Clari, as in clarinet, to the front. Clarinet bell=Claribelle
The school alto sax from 8th grade named Paul used to be Sexy, because there were only two like him in the band, and he sounded really good. But,t hen he kept breaking, and so I didn't think he was all that sexy anymore. So, I named him Paul, because I realized I had never emt somebody named paulXD(I later named a bug after him, except the bug was Paull, with an extra lXD)
Shelly got her name because I realized that her case was nothing more then a thin shell with foam betwen the outside and the clarinet. yeah, shelly is a piece of crap, by the way.
Kiki has had an identity issue and a sex changeXD She started out as Herbert, because one of my friends said that Paul should have been named Herbert, so I tod her I would name Kiki Herbert. Well, I realized later that it was a Normandy brand, so I changed its name to Normandy. Then, i decided that Normandy was boring because it was too obvious, so I asked around and came to the conclusion that everyone liked Kiki better. So, he became Kiki, and a she.

Haha, nice.
The first name that popped into my head was Charlie, so I just decided to go with that.
I have no stories to tell D:

I named my trumpet in loving memory of my niece, Clarice. She's the single coolest one year old I've ever met. So, Clarice the trumpet will be blasting triple C's for as long as she's in working condition. lol
