Dragonrider K'lar Name:K'lar(Kylar) Age:17 turns Gender:Male Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Craft: N/A Rank: RiderHistory: Born in the barn, practically raised with the Runners, K'lar grew up a wild child and caused more then his fair share of havoc, much of which included chasing every skirt that daintily skipped by. Raised by a caring mother and an aloof father, and sharing a room with 2 brothers as equally obnoxious as himself, K'lar learned the values and skills of a holder, but never quite sought the responsibilities of being an important one.
Even though women greatly amused and fascinated him, one male captured K'lar's heart. A boy his age, one equally as mischievous as himself, K'lar fell for Bren of the ice blue eyes hard and fast, an event that left him quite confused as to what he truly wanted in life.
In the end, K'lar's lack of responsibility and carefree attitude nearly cost him his life when a prank with a pair of Runners an their handler went wrong. It did however cost him the life of the boy dearest to his heart when the bucking Runner clipped Bren in the skull with a hoof. K'lar barely managed to escape being trampled, and managed to walk away with only a few bruised ribs and a wounded soul, and his mischievous streak seemed to disappear for a while.
It was a few weeks later that the trumpeting cries of dragons filled the air as they went on Search for Candidates, and K'lar left his Hold behind.
As luck would have it, he failed to Impress and K'lar felt lost. However, Weyr life suited him much better then Hold life, and it meant distance between memories he never wanted to revisit, and responsibilities that didn't suit him.
He just was not cut out of Holder cloth.
Not only that, but the dragons fascinated him, and any chance to watch the magnificent creatures was a chance he would take. Staying, he earned his keep by doing odds and ends jobs around the Weyr, learning bits and pieces of various tasks and skills.
Currant Impressed!! And what an adorable dragon His is. Tatleth fills his heart with warmth and even though she is beyond loud, every waking moment of the day, K'lar loves her more than anything. It almost feels as if his life is just starting, or maybe it's simply starting over. His days will be filled with his dragon, taking care of her needs, and sleep. Blessed sleep.
Kylar is looking forward to making many new friends amongst his dragon's clutchmates and their riders.
Appearance: At 5'8", K'lar does not tower over many. In fact, a lot of the female dragonriders tower over him. Having grown up in an active Hold, his body bears the muscles and scars of one that is almost never idle, but he still retains that wiry look of a boy not yet fully grown into a man. Sandy blonde hair constantly falls into his eyes; a touch too long to be proper, but still short enough to keep the crude remarks from his father's lips.
Personality: K'lar is loud, outgoing, and maybe lacking a bit in maturity. He's not afraid to speak his mind, which gets him in more trouble than any prank he has ever pulled on the kitchen staff.
A smile constantly lights up his face and turquoise eyes, and even though he still chases the pretty ladies of the Weyr, shadows and memories darken his eyes if any man gets too close. He misses Bren dearly, and seems stuck on the memory of the boy, distancing himself from other men as he feels responsible for Bren's death.
Afraid to get close to any other man, he loses himself in women, although sometimes he catches himself watching the other male Candidates or Weyrlings when he passes them by. Aware that such interactions between men are frowned upon at Telgar, he keeps quiet of his past.
This lack of communication or contact with men has earned him a title that would translate into being "p***y whipped", but K'lar laughs every time someone calls him a man-whore.

Dragonet Chibi Sheepcat GREEN TATLETH Tatleth was coloured by Chibi Sheepcat
Personality
CAN YOU HEAR ME YET MINE?
Candidates, break out your mental ear plugs, because Tatleth has arrived on the scene. Whether talking to dragon, human, or firelizard, she addressed them as if she's speaking to them across a foot ball field during a tornado. She announces her presence no matter where she is, and is prone to frequent explosions of noise, for lack of a better word. Telepathic projections take time and effort, and more often than not she's just so emotional that she can't get her mind in order to speak. Thus, her rider should expect to be deafened for the first several months, subject to all the bellows and creels of a dragonet's unrestrained mouth. Answering calls only provoke her further, acting as an encouragement to continue what she's doing. Even during quiet moments, her rider will find her humming or rumbling to herself, "thinking out loud" as it were. As she matures she'll get a better grip on herself, but there will always be that vocal quality to Tatleth, almost as though she likes hearing herself "talk." It is safe to say that the whole Weyr will always know how she is feeling.
Aside from her lack of restraint, Tatleth is a fairly simple dragon. She doesn't ponder or consider things, leaving that sort of mental game to her rider. Instead, she seems to have a direct link from brain to mouth, and whatever thoughts surface rarely get filtered before they're made known. While on the downside her rider's secrets would never be safe, this ability to go from brain to action makes her a valuable asset to any wing. She doesn't question orders and performs them instantaneously, something that may in the future save her rider's life. Tatleth is not the type to hesitate or second guess herself, and willingly follows her wing no matter where they're flying. Wings make her feel safe, taking away the necessity to think through things or make decisions, and this green is happiest when she's flying with other dragons. Her place is at the back of the formation and she accepts it without desire to change it. She has no real desires besides the physical kind, and depends heavily on her rider to provide for her and keep her safe. She has a deep love for her rider, like any dragon, and while he may have trouble shutting her up, she will never knowingly do anything to upset him.
Expect to know when she's ready for a Flight, and who her preferences are. This green is extremely vocal during her Flights, crooning encouragement to her favourites and making rude dragon noises in the direction of her opposition. If her rider can get her to shut up long enough to tell her who he wants then she'll be happy to root for her rider's favourites, but she is equally happy to let the best man win, so to speak.
Views on Clutchmates:
DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THAT ONE GUY AND HIS DRAGON? Tatleth loves her clutchmates, and by loves we mean she loves to talk to them. She seems equally fond of both riders and dragons, talking to both equally if given the chance. It is safe to say that all of her clutchsibs will know exactly how she feels about them, for better or for worse.- - Why Me?Loud and charismatic Kylar has captured the heart of this green. He's not afraid to speak his mind, and good on him! Because neither is Tatleth! She was quite pleased to find someone who was an unabashed about their viewpoints as she was. His warmth and his smile made the green hatchling feel safe and secure, and it was for this reason that she chose him above all others. Female candidates may mother her, but only Kylar will keep her safe and happy.
Her deep love for her rider may, in time, help him heal whatever scars the past has left on his heart. While she may not understand why he misses someone so much, she will always be there to comfort him whenever he feels sad. Convincing her not to go get help whenever he feels even a little down may take time – and might not always stick – but rest assured that Tatleth would never knowingly do anything to cause her rider more pain.

Canada goose

The Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) is a wild goose belonging to the genus Branta, which is native to Arctic and temperate regions of North America, having a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brownish-gray body.
This species is native to North America. It breeds in Canada and the northern United States in a variety of habitats. Its nest is usually located in an elevated area near water such as streams, lakes, ponds and sometimes on a beaver lodge. Its eggs are laid in a shallow depression lined with plant material and down. The Great Lakes region maintains a very large population of Canada Geese. Jr. Weyrling Sr. Weyrling Tatleth has grown in size, and also in personality! She still retains her loud outspokenness, but she has also learned that not everyone is always listening. Another thing she has retained from hatchling-hood is her need for physical vocalization as well as mental, constantly making random noises that suite her current mood. She is a small green, but very strong, and very fast. However, she's not the best at chewing firestone, and it's something that her and K'lar practice all the time.Adult

Impression Dragonriders of Pern Shop It was the Three Spots Egg that wiggled next, though it was hard to see it move due to its position. What candidates may have noticed, however, was the flurry of noise that seemed to be coming from inside the shell. All kinds of sounds, from squeaks to warbles to the occasional squeal. What exactly was going on in that little amused egg?
The sound stopped only for a moment and then a head thrust its way up through the top of the egg shell to peer at the audience. Goodness! Look at all those people! The dragonet inside – its head a dark green – seemed positively delighted. It was the dragons that seemed to fascinate her most, and she tipped her head and trilled up at her mother.
Kaveth responded with a soft rumble and the green practically broke out of her shell in sheer joy. With a few well-placed kicks the hatchling finally immerged from her dark shell. Quite pleased with herself, the green lifted her head and bugled, fanning her wings wide around her. She was here, everybody, she was here! Dragonriders of Pern Shop The green stood up tall, balancing herself with her wings as she lifted her front legs off of the sands. Where oh where was Hers? They must be out there somewhere! But look at all the choice! For a moment, she hovered in indecision, still making soft sounds under her breath. Her eyes moved from candidate to candidate, but each time she ended with the same downward chirp. She even stuck her tongue out at one candidate, seemingly so displeased that she couldn't take it anymore. But then oh! There he was!
Bugling at the top of her voice she raced towards the group of male candidates, eyes set on one boy and one boy only. It was hard to hear anything past all the noise she was making, but Kylar received the added bonus of hearing the dragonet's mental voice. Unsurprisingly, it was as loud as her physical one.
KYLAR! KYLAR! THERE IS SO MUCH YOUR TATLETH WANTS TO TELL YOU!
Ashtiel Pantheres Still amused by the green's antics, his smile suddenly turned into a jaw-dropped expression as she bugled at the top of her lungs, and practically shouted in his mind, "KYLAR! KYLAR! THERE IS SO MUCH YOUR TATLETH WANTS TO TELL YOU!"Suddenly swamped by the wiggling green body, Kylar's rear hit the sands, Tatleth trying to crawl into his lap. She stared at him, nose to nose, with a grin as wide on her maw as his usually was. Laughing, he rubbed her head-knobs, wincing only a little as her voice filled his head to bursting. "MINE, can you hear me? Yes?? Good! I'm hungry, mine. Please feed me, then I have sooo much to share with you, mine. SO MUCH!" Hopping off her new rider, she fairly danced in front of him, wings half-unfurled, tail lashing in excitement. Kylar climbed to his feet in awe, too amazed by his fortune to speak in his head.
"Yes, dear Tatleth. I hear you very well," he said with a laugh, wrapping his arms around her neck. "Food for you! Come!" With that, she dashed to the table, her rider close behind. Upon reaching the table, she bumped shoulders with her clutch-mate Skananth, chirping animatedly in her excitement. "Skananth, mine is here! Do you see him? He is handsome and strong and will protect Tatleth!" Glancing over her shoulder, she whirred more noises at him, as if to hurry Kylar.
Laughing, he reached the table, resting a hand on her shoulder as he caught his breath. "C'mere, mine. Time to fill that gut of yours, and maybe calm you down."
