The Riverrun high streets were bustling with people. with it being near to closing time for most of the outside stools, everyone just getting off their jobs were grabbing their evening meal with what little coin they earned from their own way of income. The streets usual inhabitants mainly consisted of usual humanoids, humans, dwarves, elves, the occasional half orc or two, and the usual cross breeds between the races. All seeming human to some degree, apart from a certain feline like entity, his jet black fur socking up what was left of the sun as it would near the end of its cycle for today. A slight mumble coming from his lips, as a pair of brown slacks with a red sash holding them in place, would flow with each step. finely toned muscle would shift beneath the furred skin, causing a nice fluid motion of a hunter.

A leather flask hung from his hip as the sound of its content sloshing back and forth could be heard with each step, a bag of coin also hung from his waist, only containing little more then possibly twenty coppers. Although this pouch was constantly within a clenched hand, holding it close, as he knew the importance of the metal disks. The muttering continued as it soon became audible. "'Go to Riverrun!' He said, 'Its not far!' he said. Last time I take directions from a gnome..." It was evident that This male was tired, he had travelled a fair distance to get here, and it was all because he heard the city's alcohol was some of the finest. He would continue down the high street, looking for any local bars that could possible be open.

The high street was a busy part of Riverrun, filled with shops and stalls as far the eye could see but now it was closing time and people would be packing up their goods and heading home...Except one man, who seemed to have stall up and running still, selling what he had left before heading home. A stout man, in fact he was a dwarf from the deep regions of the earth, the main thing which gave away his heritage was his dark skin and dull eyes, was stilling trying to sell things to anyone who walked by. Dispite his short figure the man had a voice which could be used to strip paint "ello dere me lovely! You want some milk? It be proper Job!" Everyone he shouted this to seemed to keep walking, and he was starting to get annoyed, by the look of how full his stand was he hadn't sold anything all day. But still the Dwarf would keep a happy face and keep trying to sell his stock for aslong as it would take by the look of it.

The dwarf would then sigh and speaking softly to himself "Blasted city folk dunna even know what good ta um...Dese produck' are de best dey be..I betta' be headin' back to de old country side where folk like me should be" Just as the dwarf gave up hope and was about to start packing up, he would see a creature would at some pace though the crowds...it looked like a cat? And the Dwarf was selling Diary Products and cow meat...Cat's like meat!!...Oh wait, the other thing, Milk! So the Dwarf would breath in heavily before shouting and pointing right at the man, causing the crowd to part in the direction he pointed "You be a cat you is! I do say so dat you look mighty like you need a drink boy'o! And boy do I ave a treat fa you my son! Fresh cow milk! Ha Ha HA HA HA! Did I 'ear a fella ask if it be the freshest dere be? Well it be I can tell ye that! Ha HA HA HA!" The Dwarf would then look right into the cat man's eyes and say "So how much did ye want den?" The cat person hadn't even said he wanted any yet, but the Dwarf was a tough man to argue with when he has already answered your question for you...

The Cat man would still be lumbering along, not as energetic as he normally was considering how far he had travelled. his ears suddenly flatterned against his hair one hand raising to cover the side the sound was coming from as the other held the pouch of coin he had even tighter. those blue spheres gazed towards the direction of the sound as he saw a rather stout man shouting towards him, the crowd literally parting to prevent being hit by the sound blast. he would grown a little before stumbling a littler close towards the stool. "Well your a loud bugger... Milk?" He questioned as the dwarf seemed to instantly take any answer he stated as a yes as he asked how much he wanted. This instantly made Sedrick a little edgy, he disliked being sold things, not to mention when he has little amount of copper. He would sigh slightly and dig into his pouch, knowing it would be pointless to argue with such a determined merchant.

He threw upon the counter two copper pieces, as he would then state. "Thats all I can spare... I'm heading to the pub, heard good things about the drink here ... what will that get me? And how about coming with me? Considering its closing time." Sedrick wasn't expecting The man to take him up on his offer, he was just hoping to make a friendly offer in response. not to mention he could probably do with some milk before he got into drinking, he didn't want to get smashed too quickly.

Walking through the bustling streets, a woman was brushed past, bumped into, and almost run over by a carriage. If it wasn't for her good temper, she would have run for the hills a long time ago. Slanted eyes looked through the crowd for some place to get the hell away from these people. Her long black hair fell into her face in her rushed movements, her ponytail falling slightly in the back. Her somewhat paled skin was bruised and red from the many people pushing her by, and knocking her over. Thin peach lips pulled in to have her teeth bit the skin. She was a stunning human, her eyes and longer fingers were the only indication that she was less then human. Stepping over the boundaries of the road, she placed her hands on a wall. Her eyes shot up to the sign. It read either Bar or tavern. Thanking the gods, she pushed the door to her right open, and walked in, seeing as how many people were swinging around laughing, or chatting in a happy chorus. This was a place where she could just chill for a moment. Walking over to the bar, she slid her leg over the stool top, pulling herself up onto it. At 5'9" She couldn't touch the floor with her feet in this stool. She smiled sweetly at the waiter.

"Just a glass of water please."

Her voice was low, and it seemed as if she was losing it. This wasn't the case however. She wanted no attention from the other bar occupants, so she kept a low profile. The bar at home would glare at her in disgust, and say loudly how much she wasn't wanted there. Riverrun seemed to be a different city, alive with people of all species and ages. She liked it here so far. Too bad she didn't know her way around the city

The Dwarfs face would light up as he saw the Cat man approach him and speak...The Dwarf would hear the Cat man call him a loud bugger, but he wouldn't care the slightest bit, considering he had got what he wanted! So the Dwarf would laugh and say "dat all ye want! Bah two coppers! Not even worth me voice!" The Dwarf would then get out a cup and pour a cup of milk....For two coppers for a glass of milk he must have been over charging on his milk, but it wasn't agaisnt the law so he could sell it for what he wanted with no arguements, aslong as people are willing to buy anyway. The Dwarf would the listen that the catman was going to the nearby Pub, and by the sound of it he wasn't from around this parts. "HaHaHA! Ye must mean de Three Heroes Tavern! Ye mustn't be from 'ere be ye?"

The Dwarf would then look around, no one was buying what he was selling, so he would place oth of his hands upon his hips and speak at a normal volume of voice for once, not shouting like he normally does "Sure, I be needing a drink I be" The dwarf would then hold out his hand up to the catman, for a handshake "I be Trevor Cobble, vidy good to meet ye! Now if ye could 'elp me pack up dat would be proper job" Trevor, as you now know his name, would shake your hand if you accepted his handshake, if not he would just continue without the handshake. As Trevor would bend down to start picking up some of his stuff off the ground, you would notice his money pouch, which was heavy with Copper/Silver or Gold and he didn't seem to have any concern with it unlike the cat man, it was hanging from a small string and seemed rather heavy.

Zev casually walked around to the back entrance, not even fussed if he looked a mess from his previous job, beggars can't be choosers. He knew full well what he was going to get from the owner the second he went in late "'Why are you late? You know that your shift is the one where we get busy cause that's when everyone finishes there day work, we need every person possible if we are to see to everyone and keep everything in order. We have a reputation to keep up you know' I never hear the end of that blasted rant about our reputation. If she is so worried about it she should be the one to serve the drinks and not me...." Zev had just finished a monster problem, it should of been a small one he could of got over and done with fast and just simply get paid but there were.....complications.

He entered the back door and quickly stashed his equipment out of way, he was allowed to keep his daggers on him though in case trouble brewed. That didn't happen a lot though, this tavern was a very civil one, sure occasionally they got the odd angry drunk; or the drunk who couldn't even stand and had people had to help him on his way. But other than that it was an ordinary tavern job. Many people would say he was lucky to be working at this particular tavern though, cause its "The Three Heroes Tavern", its placed in names of the three main hero's who saved Riverrun. Zev didn't know much about the Riverrun history due to his missed education, who the heroes are and what they did; did peak Zev's curiosity to an extent. But not enough to care much, unfortunately most of the people who came to the tavern had heard rumours, stories, legends, you name it they would tell it as long as at least 1 of the 3 heroes were involved in it.

To be polite and because it was part of his job description he had to listen and in most cases take part in conversations people had at the bar, luckily he could get away and have a conversation with someone about something he actually knew about. As he finished making himself presentable for work and as he was tying his hair back all he heard was "ZEV!!!!!" He gave a sigh as he placed his headband in black in place and his boss came storming in the back, of course everyone else decided to say well out of it, but they could not help themselves into having a sneaky look at the boss scolding him. Some of the employees would secretly hope for a fight to break out, but most of the time they would have to go disappointed.

"Hey boss, yeah I know I'm late and I'm sorry. My latest job ran a bit longer than I planned, did you know that wild boar can be---" The boss tried to land a hit at the top of his head but he moved out of the hit range with a sidestep, "I don't give a damn about boar! Geez....We are getting busy and we have 2 people off tonight; so that means you have to work like 3 men, understood!?" Zev gave a sigh as he nodded his head, which his boss now knew as a "yeah whatever" kinda response. His boss was never normally like this, she must be getting stressed.

Zev came to his normal position behind the bar, but just as he came through one of the guys who were new to the place ran up to him in a rush, "Zev, I really need a break man it's getting ridiculous in here. Could you please cover for me if the boss comes asking for me. I will only be 15 minutes I swear!" Zev grabbed boys apron and tired it around one of the hems of his belt, "Remember, 15 minutes only. I won't cover for you after those minutes are up." the lad gave a smile and a nod in response as he made his way for the back entrance. "At this rate these new guys won't last more than a few weeks, with the amount of breaks they need."

Zev started his shift as normal, people asking for whiskeys, vodka's and the occasional cider, he noticed one of the guys who had been here just a bit shorter than himself was being swamped on one side of the bar, and seeing his own side was pretty quite for the time being he decided to go help. "Hey, you need a hand?" "Oh Zev, great timing. I can handle everything here, but there's a lady there who is asking for just water." "Water?" "Yeah I know don't even ask why she's asking for water in the tavern but I don't have the time to do it, can I leave that to you?" "Sure" the first thought that came to Zev as he was on his way to get the drink was ~Too busy? Too busy getting drunk with the customers buying you drinks more like. And we're only an hour into opening~

He made his way back to the bar, and he was more right than he had ever been. He saw his 'assistant helper' drinking and laughing it up with his friends. If he kept up at this rate he will be sacked soon enough. Zev knew which girl it was. she was the only young looking girl at the bar itself and she also had fox like ears so it was kinda hard not to spot her. He made his way over and placed the drink in front of her. He decided to put on his 'work smile' so he would seem more friendly to the customers. "Here you go. Sorry my fellow bartender couldn't serve you, as you can see he's kinda....occupied." he said with a smile but also hinting towards the direction his fellow worker was in. At that moment in time he was trying to down a pint of larger against one of his friends and was doing an appalling attempt at it as well. "By the way don't worry about paying for the drink, water is everywhere, no need to pay for the stuff right?" He said giving another smile towards her, he was kinda relieved though. once he put his 'work smile' on he couldn't get it off for several hours so people won't be intimidated by him until near closing time now.

Sedricks Theme

Sedrick would grin slightly as he got the milk, he didn't care much for the price as long as it would make him a little quieter, although it seemed this wasn't the case as he boomed out another sentence right in his sensitive ears. Again his ears laid flat to his head as he did so, his slitted pupils widening into orbs as he would shake his head slightly, taking the glass in hand and gulping down the drink he would sigh happily hearing that the dwarf knew of the place he was heading to. "Yeah, I'm from the West, felt like trying the city drinks." after returning the glass he was glad to hear the man had taken him up on his offer, he then looked towards his out stretched hand and placed his own into his, shacking his hand firmly. "I'm Sedrick Rekt, Nice to meet ya, and sure I'll help you pack up." He stated in a rather friendly tone, hell anyone willing to have a drink was good in his books.

Sedrick would then just start with the merchandise, wrapping them up as best he could in quick bursts of energy, luckily there was a cloth beneath the objects as he would wrap them up into a bundle and tie it a little tightly to prevent anything from falling from it. After helping Trevor, he would wait as best he could for the man to lead the way, it would save time for Sedrick to follow, although he would be darting forward before stopping and repeating the same action, to him this type of action would be more normal then walking.

Trevor would quickly wrap up his gear and place it into a backpack he had nearby, Sedrick, asthe catman was called, turned out to be very helpful with closing down his stall. So once they had packed it all up Trevor would pick up his backpack and fling it onto his back, now the one thing which would stick out of the top of Trevors backback with a large suit of armor and a few shields, he wouldn't wear this all the time as it was far to heavy and restricing. So Trevor would make sure his farmer cap was upon his head nice and firm, and he would walk towards the sunset while staring at the ground. The Reason for Trevor to stare at the ground was to avoid the sunlight, due to his eyes being very sensitive to the sunlight.

Trevor would seem very comfortable in the city, as he pushed and shoved his way past the crowds, due to his stout feature and aggresive stance people would move out of his way of be pushed aside. After a very very very short while Trevor would start to speak "So you be a cat 'eh Sedrick...I never seen one of ye before! Do ye always land on ye feet? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH! Get it! Cause ye be a cat! HAHAHAHA Dey land on de feet! HAHAHAHAHAHAH! Woooh! Get it?!" Trevor would find this joke to be the funniest thing since he saw A Priest, a Rabbi and a Cleric go into a pub. After a small amount of time they would be at the Tavern, so Trevor would walk in, expecting Sedrick to follow of course.

Sedrick would have been moving through the crowds in a more agile fashion then his newly met friend: Trevor. weaving in and out of the crowds and occasionally leaping over people he couldn't avoid. after moving a fair distance with Trevor he seemed to speak, as he stated the joke Sedrick didn't quite get it, He never really thought about it before but then after a moment he realized it was to do with his feline in heritage. This caused Sedrick to release a small laugh of his own considering it was a little late. "Heh good one. didn't think people around here had any sense of humour." Although before long they would have reached the tavern doors, Trevor entering first it seemed and shortly after Sedrick would enter as well.

The busy streets held diffrent the Pav's home town. He felt himself being tossed around as if he were a rag doll. his small size made it so people almost paid him no mind. He scowled at how rude they were. How dare they push him around like this. Normally he would not have this state of mind, but this day had been full of long travels, and he had went without food untill lat after noon, and that was some time ago. The forests near the city were lacking in game, and that little he did manage to find out there were lacking in meat.

This stress was also added to by the guards at the norther gate of Riverrun. It took him hours to finally make them let him pass into the city. His irritation was growwing and the wire that kept him from falling astray into an explotion of anger and rage was wearing thin. He was by no means a barbarian, but he was sure there people would think he was after such an inccodent(If it did happen.) He pushed his anger aside though, making his best effort to weave through this unruely crowd. He managed to break free of them and duck into a tavern. He didn't catch the name of it, but it seemed a Lively, well manored place.

Shadow walked through the high busy streets of riverrun just looking around. was all new to him because he had no real memory of being Whitefang in this place, he stopped by a small stole which was selling fruit and picked up what looked like an apple, because he spent so long in hell he didnt know anything about the food up on this new world to him. He turned to the keeper "what is this may i asked" the shop keeper replied "its an apple sir" and looked at shadow with a face as if he though he was taking the piss" shadow took a bite of it and then turned to the shop keeper handed him some money and then asked for 10 more and the carried on walked down the road hoping he would find something or someone he noticed from his passed life. Sedricks Theme

Sedrick would of been with Ame as she left the bar, the guards seemed to ignore her words, as though they had made it perfectly clear as to what they meant. Just as they would be walking upon the street, or in Sedrick's case, hobbling. the sound of a fire bursting into flame would sound, Sedrick would look over his shoulder and see that the Demon woman would of left just as the flames caught the door way(making it seem this way to avoid arguments/complications). He didn't know what to make of this but then suddenly the sound of a young female would sound down the street, as the body of the voice charged passed both him and Ame. It was a young red headed Drow, and from the direction where she had charged from, another Drow was walking towards the recently flaming door. Sedrick didn't know what to make of this, although the pain within his leg was growing with each time he pushed his feet upon the path before him.

His arm that was about the young woman's shoulders, he was a little shorter then the woman's height but that seemed to be more helpful to prevent his injured leg from receiving too much pressure. His hand gripped upon the front of her shoulder, trying to find something to grip, unfortunately there was no mass of cloth simply a strand, his fingers quickly curled around it, his grip tightening as to create some sense of relief. He would look to the road ahead, not knowing if there would be a doctor or healer within the area at this time of day/early night, he would look towards Ame for a moment to then bring forth a question. "I doubt there is a doctor or healer available at such an hour... do you know any medical skills, or healing processes?" He asked in hope to have his leg treated before it got infected, considering the liquid that the shard consisted of, it would be a highly likely factor.

Sedricks ears dropped to his head, as he heard the sound of thunder, he would look up to suddenly see the dark night sky seem rather angered, the feel of rain beating upon his fur soon followed. His head lowered as the black colour of his fur seemed to slowly run, the rain washing the dark colour from his fur, beneath it a light blond colour, his hair was in fact that of a brunette. He would sigh slightly as the soot washed from his body, it wouldn't be clear to many as to how he became that dirty, but for a entity to trace from the west in the fashion Sedrick did, it would be all too obvious. The thought of the young female came to his mind once more, she seemed human, but there was something about her that made her seem more... well just more then human. He would keep a close hold upon the woman his furred body softly grazing her own every now and then. Because of his feline mind set he hoped this rain fall would pass soon or they would find shelter, he hated getting wet, he'd much rather be covered in filth then rain.

Doppelganger Jiko
as
{The Elvish Wanderer Vaelnephrin}
Level 1: Spell Sword

The City; the streets. There was no substitute for the amount of faces, places, and things. And similarly, there was no better place for a doppelganger thief. So many identities to be stolen, managed, and tossed away when needed--so many pockets and purses and carts. It was proving a much better living than the previous years of roaming the countryside, fooling farmers into giving free meals and beds to sleep in. Now, Jiko--or more accurately the male elf Vaelnephrin that Jiko was channeling--had an acceptable bag of coin at his hip, a full belly, and a heavy bag on his shoulder filled with all sorts of useful things. The only thing missing now was..

Thunder rolled overhead. The elf cringed as the first freezing droplets fell from the black sky and trickled down the back of his neck, threatening to soak the thin body underneath. Shelter. He needed a place to rest, a place to put his stuff, a place to hide from others. Any permanent lodging was a dangerous suggestion, but having to rely on luck and money for inns daily was tiresome and undependable. What he needed was a few hideouts, a couple of places to cycle through as one became too dangerous.

Right now, however, he had nowhere. Nada. Zip. Although he had memorized a map of the city before arriving, the places he'd marked for possible habitation turned out not as inhabitable. It was dark and raining, and the town seemed completely different from his memory. Had that last street been the one with the inn??

Scent did him a good favor. At some point, he had caught a whiff of food and alcohol. There was a bar nearby, it seemed. Perhaps there he could get a roof over his head, even if it was until closing time.

When Vael arrived, however, he found something much more interesting. There was what looked like a human female leading a male...a male...
What in the Creator's name was that??

Overwhelmed by curiosity and propelled by his training (doppelgangers needed a variety of forms, of course), Vael forgot about the bar and put all effort into following the duo as silently and as invisibly as possible. From the shadows he observed the cat-like ears, swishing tail, and fine fur that came with the body. He was of course a cat-kin, but never before had Vael the chance to actually see one. More than that, this one wasn't at peak health. At first, Vael thought he was drunk and merely being accompanied home by the female, but longer observation yielded the truth of the matter: he was injured in the leg, bleeding...
"I doubt there is a doctor or healer available at such an hour... do you know any medical skills, or healing processes?"

So his guess was correct. But this off-hand question held in it a special opportunity: Vael the elf was a spell sword, and as such had picked up a little magic in his time. He knew a small cure spell, one enough to slow or maybe even stop the bleeding and ease some of the pain. This was just the edge he needed to get close to him!

"Ah, I do." Vael came out of the shadows, but stopped as he spoke. He was still a long distance from both, so as to avoid any surprised--and thus violent--reaction. He put on a smile, as convincing as any honest smile, and bowed to the two with some amount of grace. Vaelnephrin the wandering elf was really quite the graceful and charismatic specimen, even with his dark hair plastered wetly to his face..
"And I'd be delighted to assist, was I not being drenched head to toe in this nasty weather."
