these are basiclly the only two echidnas that Sonic fans like, but tell me "which echidna is your favorite?"

Kinda depends on which continuity you look at....In the games, we have those two, plus Pachacamac and the tons of tribal echidnas. In Archie...well, can definitely say that echidnas AREN'T on the endangered species list of Mobius. razz
And can't say I can favor one over the other. I like Knuckles determined-yet-total moron personality...plus he just plain kicks butt. And ya gotta have a lot of respect for Tikal; sacrificing herself to seal away Chaos when he went nuts.

You forgot Robo Knuckles and Silver Knuckles XD They technically count.
Hum. I can't really decide between the two either. They both have their ups and downs o.o

I like both, really. But I guess I like Tikal more, even though she hasn't made so many appearances. It must be because I admire the whole mystic-ness surrounding her. whee

Fun Fact: Tikal was named after a south american country, which is also where her wardrobe was inspired.
But yeah...I like Knuckles better...but I love all the sonic characters!

I'm a Knuckles fan as far as the games go....if we're going with the comics I'd say Sabre 8D.....but I'm not an archie fan <_< >_> noooooooo of course not! *runs away with her archie comics to avoid flaming*...no but seriously Archie is screwed up but not enough to keep me away. I'm a fan of Sonic no matter what verse' we're talking about.

I like Knuckles better, he was my fave ever since I first became a Sonic fan. biggrin Only no one seems to get the voice right for him in any of the games and series...

I never really liked the way that her character was toned down from the strong legionnaire we first met to Knuckles' love interest.
And don't even get me started on the passively simpering Penders housewife who thinks that preparing meals for picky kids is harder work than fighting Robotnik ever was.
She's a good character, but the writers never seem to be able to quite deal with her as a strong female.

Well, that's a tough call. Tikal is a total Mary Sue, who exists only to be pure and perfect and use light fantastic to make everything deus ex machina ok again.
Knuckles on the otherhand is a total characture and exists only in two modes, stupidly gullible and volotile anger. His character was very nicely explored in SA1, and that makes me like him, but after SA2 he was just a cut-out stuck to be tough and stupid behind the rest of the cast.
SA1 angsty loner Knuckles for the win! biggrin
