A Tapestry in the Main Hall Reads: The Ushio clan hails from four corners of the Land of Waves. The rain village, waterfall village, and mist village, and the moon village on Crescent Moon Island. This clan always has at least four families stationed in these villages because the clan is said to have made a pact with the first Mizukage to forever protect the three main villages of the Land of waves. The main house of the clan in kirigakure houses the scroll called the "silent treaty." They are seen to all other clans as one of the most studious clans out there. The clan members are almost always very intelligent, and they usually excel in one area of jutsu. For centuries the clan has passed information down to one another from the current head of the clan who would only teach one child at a time. This was the only problem however for this clan. The clan had a habit of not having very many males. Since the head of the clan was the only one allowed to teach the clan jutsu to the younger generation, the kids had to often battle each other to see who would be the next to learn. If the head of the clan died before you learned the clan jutsu, you did not learn any. However, this didn't stop the ones who didn't have the proper training to watch the others and attempt the jutsu on their own, however it was usually not as powerful or focused. The clan also had a problem of lower level clan members killing the head of the clan to gain more power. In actuality, the head of the clan is granted this status by a clan symbol chakra burn over the back of the neck (Near vocal chords) that is transferred by jutsu from one head of the clan to another that he sees fit. It signifies purity of spoken knowledge. Because of this clans kekkei genkai, they specialized in chakra control. They were known for having a little of an excess of chakra, but over centuries learned to mask their true chakra level. The clan has outcasted many of their own whom they did not see fit to learn the full extent of their bloodline trait, but it is fearsome even on its base level. Some say the bloodline is the land of water's way of combating Konohagakure's own Uchiha clan's Sharingan. Since the Uchiha's sharingan allows them to copy jutsu they see, the Ushio clan was said to have been created from the strongest of four clans of water to keep some of the Land of Water's jutsu hidden. Most of their clan jutsu are more honed and powerful versions of water jutsu at their purest and most refined form. (This is the same tapestry Luo wears around his waist in his picture)
Nestled deep within the winding forests and mountain paths of Kirigakure, is the Ushio Clan compound. Extremely difficult to find by those without the ability to see through mist, as well as by those who do not know the village well, this is where the current head of the clan Luo Ushio, and his pupil Forden Cordell currently reside.

Arriving at his home, Luo found his parents still awake to his surprise. He suspected they hadn't slept and weren't going to until he returned. Hugging his mother and bowing to his father, Luo filled them in on everything which had occurred. As he drank tea with them, he informed them of how tired he was and that Fordon would most likely be coming back to the compound. Standing, Luo walked to the right side of the main hall to his bedroom. Although he was the clan head, he refused to move his grandfather from the room he still resided in. He felt it dishonorable to move the man who taught him so much, and made him the man he was today. In the morning, he would meditate with his grandfather just like he always did.

Through the unlocked gate in the garden Fordon silently entered. it was not uncommon for him to do this. and it also him to practice his skills of moving around undetected. he walked all the way up to the main house and even got to the door but on his last step there was a pop. he looked down to see someone had put bubble wrap on the ground. it must have been Luo's father. the man was former Anbu and had imparted a great deal of knowledge on Fordon. the man also seemed to be constantly testing Fordon. on top of that the man did this to stay alerted to when Fordon would arrived. Luo's father never liked being surprised by people. Fordon took off his shoes and entered "greetings Ushio clan!" Fordon said bowing then set down his shoes. "i apologize arriving so late. i trust that Lord Luo-sama made it here already?" he asked

Lao nodded silently. "Good evening Fordon. Yes, Luo arrived about an hour ago. He told us about the whole ordeal, so he's catching up on some rest. You know, you always seem to put your right foot in the exact same spot. It's the only reason that trick ever works with you. I do admit though, it helps keep me a bit sane knowing when you arrive in the house. You know how I hate being caught off guard. You know that reminds me of when....." Lao began to speak of his old ANBU days for a few minutes before finally getting to the end of the story. "...Anyway, that's why they began installing nightingale floors in main houses hahaha. I so wish Luo had taken me up on taking my position as captain though, he would have made a fine one. Oh well, he's doing the village some good now anyway so I guess I can't complain. I'm sure you're doing the village some good as well, Luo some too. He's taken a liking to you. The only other people he's allowed to come and go through this house are his old squad mates Zane and Tares. That Zane was a trouble maker. I used to have to..." Lao went on and on about Zane's various misdeeds in the Ushio home. "....And that's exactly why he's not allowed anywhere near the library anymore. He better not be screwing around in Suna, lazy runt."

Fordon listened intently and laughed at the funny points of the story. "thank you sir" He said warmly "for what you said about me doing some good. i try to make myself useful. i do have a question for you though. in your years of experience which has been more effective, strength or speed?" he asked. Fordon had a good idea which was mostly to be chosen but he still wanted to know as much as he could. he also had a question about the three tails but that could wait for later.

Lao thought for a moment before finally speaking his mind. "Speed of course! It doesn't matter how strong your enemy is if he can't catch you. That's what I told Luo the first time we trained. I thought I was gonna whip him into shape, but it was the other way around. I've never seen an Ushio take to training like that boy. Sometimes I think he has an odd obsession with it. When he was eight, I asked him to run up one of the smaller mountains and back down figuring it would take the whole day. I didn't see him for five days straight. He decided why try one mountain instead of all five in the area. It's also what him in trouble with the ANBU posted there, but that's a long story. To put it simply, stealth and speed aren't exactly all you need, but they're essential to efficiency."

"thank you sir. " Fordon said. it had been just as he thought. well there was no doubt about it now. he just needed to start practicing. this was going to be hard but in the end would make him extremely useful. while Fordon did enjoy hearing about the Lord Mizukage and how he grew up there were more potent questions he felt like he needed to ask. "and i have another question if you would... its about the the three-tails. what do you know about it?" Fordon asking figuring he better be as prepared as possible for when it would attack.

Lao raised an eyebrow at the boy before looking into Fordon's eyes. He saw the same fervor to protect he saw in Luo's eyes. Finally sighing as his son often did, he spouted information out. "The Sanbi is as you know the three-tailed turtle. To be honest, he's rather dimwitted, most likely because unlike the other demons, he's lived in the human realm pretty much all his life. He's capable of water related jutsu, including massive tsunami-like waves capable of massive destruction. He's also capable of the typical demon chakra ball that can crater large areas. While he was sleeping once, I had a team go out and collect data on him by getting a camera into his mouth that fed live feed to our surveillance center. We found out his digestive system consists of hundreds of miniature clones of him eating whatever goes inside. His exterior is also for the most part impenetrable save for lightning jutsu and perhaps a kage leveled fire jutsu here or there if he doesn't stop it first. That's about all I know. May I ask why you need this information?"

Fordon looked down a little. "i see... i wanted to know because i want to be ready. after what the Gobi did we can not afford to be caught unawares again. when it strikes i want to be ready to meet in combat." raising his hand to his chin he thought for a moment. 'i dont have fire chakra yet and even if i did it would not do me any good with my level of skill. water wont work cause he will just overpower me there. i doubt wind would have any effect if what he said was true. my current level of taijutsu wont do much either. earth could restrain him a little but i dont have enough strength really do do anything with it. lightning works but i still doubt my level of strength would do much. hmmm but its the best ive got.' "thank you sir." he finished looking back up to the man's face

Yawning Lao, walked past Fordon, stopping next to him as he put his left hand on the boy's shoulder, speaking in a low tone. "It's nice to see you follow in my boy's footsteps. But don't take any unnecessary risks. Luo's a capable young man and he knows what he's doing. I'd hate to see you take a hit for him unless it was absolutely necessary. So before you step in for him, weigh your options, and his condition. If he's incapable in your eyes, do what you think is right." Patting his shoulder once more, Lao continued walking down the corridor, putting his hand up in the air to wave to Fordon as he said, "Goodnight Fordon."

As morning, Luo awoke early as usual, eating a light breakfast before going to meditate to the sunrise with his grandfather. His grandfather was well spoken, and looked good for his old age. He was wise too, always imparting words of wisdom to Luo, which he gladly appreciated. It was him who put Luo's mind at ease about the demon attack and convinced him it wasn't his fault. After tea and meditation in the garden, Luo did his normal morning training, which took two hours to complete. He then ate a full breakfast, and decided to head to the beach to see what the kids were up to.

"goodnight sir" Fordon said and watched the man head off to his room. Lao was right Lord Luo-sama was capable, more so then any other ninja Fordon knew. Fordon both wanted and knew he needed to get stronger but he was not sure this was a good time to leave and train. right now the village needed everyone they could get and they needed them in top condition. 'perhaps i should as after the village is rebuilt. by then i should have everything worked out and a way to pay for what i want LT to make.' he sighed then pulled out some food bars. he was sure no one was around so he pulled down his mask and ate. he scratched at the collar around his neck. some people had said it must be to should how much of a pet he was to the Mizukage but they did not know the truth. underneath it was stitches. they went all the way around his neck. he hated having to explain or lie about the stitches he had. he also hated how the one who knew what he was thought he was a freak. all but Lord Luo-sama. here in this house he was not afraid to show most of his scars. with the exception of the ones on his face and neck the Ushio family had seen them. he did not know what explanation Lord Luo-sama had given them but the family never had asked. onece he was finished eating Fordon took a drink from his own water bottle and went back outside. he was sure not to step on the bubble wrap this time. going to a mostly cut off point of the garden he listened to the noise of the night. it was amazing and wonderful. he took off his cloak and shirt and all of his armor. he kept the pants, collar and face mask on. he sat down crossed his legs and began meditating. he focused his body and all of the tendrils inside. he pulled he hands together and took in the night. he heard the noises of the world and felt the cool wind pass over his body. it was good to be able to relax and calm himself like this. he could to an extent feel the heavens above him. he knew without looking that it must be a clear night. he let out a relaxing sigh and took in everything around him. he was n such a state of peace he let himself drift of to sleep in that position.

Fordon awoke feeling the sun's warmth on his body. quickly he dressed and got up and practiced for a little bit. he had overheard someone say that Lord Luo had already left. deciding he should take a look around town and see what need to still be done Fordon left quietly. then headed down in the direction of the village being sure not to leave any trail that might lead back to the house. Walking across the small lake in front of his home, Luo looked down at the water as he saw the moon's reflection. Continuing to proceed to the front door, Luo paused before he opened it, looking up at the moon once more before finally going in. As he closed the door, he met his family for dinner, a rare occurrence these days. Laughing and talking with them for a few hours, Luo finally decided it was time to rest. He would stay awake longer, but he still wasn't 100% after sealing the demon.

Without a noise Fordon moved toward the house and slipped in through the garden gate. he ran toward the house and took off his shoes soon as he reached the door. he entered and bowed to the family inside. "im sorry for arriving too late but is there still any food from dinner? Im afraid i haven't eaten all day."
