Poor L didn't deserve to go out like that... then again Ryuk was my favorite character and he got revenge for me~ ^^ Yeah Ryuk! X3

Why do they always kill off all of the awesome characters?

I ended my Death note where L died. It was a good ending and it was good that L died. I want to see more anime where important characters actually die. Personal changes during the show and just a good(Do not think of good vs evil there.) ending.

i do believe that i was crying for half an hour when L died (even though my friend spoiled it for me before i began the series), and watching his death in the anime always makes me cry/feel depressed for a few hours/have a fervent desire for Light Yagami to be real just so i can kill him (again).
I cosplay L (even though im a girl)...and whenever i see a Light, i always 'haunt' them until they yell at me.
but L sort of did have to die, otherwise the series couldnt go on...though i dont see why if Light died in the end anyway, L couldn't have been the one who destroyed Kira.

I went on a rampage when I watched L die! I WAS SO MAD and it still gets me upset! He didn't deserve to die... that's just cruel... how could Light live with himself, killing awesomesauce people like that?
Near was pretty cool, though... but he could never replace L...

Ahh, that's an old rumor. I doubt they're even gonna make an American version, due to the amount of fans that would go and pillage the studio if they screw it up.

Me I hated Light so I just wish it was more painful
I also think L knew what was going to happen but couldn't figure out any other way to stop him.

Personal changes during the show and just a good(Do not think of good vs evil there.) ending. But that was one of the major flaws of Death Note
They only focused on two main characters
Sure Misa and Ryuk were there, but we never really heard a lot about them and their roles were downplayed quite a bit
I love the ending, Ryuk's speech was epic and Matsuda finally quit taking people's crap! X3
I love animes like this, a battle of the mind instead of brute strength
Nice change of pace :3

Yea... I loved Death Note... Good times... goood times... Oh! and as for that "Battle of the minds" thing, I'm about to make an RP designed to test puzzle-solving skills, as well as your sanity.

I love death note sooooooooooooo much! definitely my favourite anime ever. I was sad when L died.......... my friends spoiled it ahead of time for me............. basically before i started watching the series i was really confused because they were talking about things that didn't make any sense......... turns out the made some things up.........
We all ended up being characters from death note..... Someone was L, someone was light, misa, near................ and i was mello........... they kinda chose that one for me....
I have a goal of buying the book another note..... so I can read it...... I want to find out what happens with BB!
