[Do you own any shinies? Do you have any stories of finding, battling against, or watching a shiny escape your clutches? Or your overall opinion on Shiny Pokes? Share em here. My first encounter with a shiny was a golden Geodude I saw back in the dark cave on Crystal. I honestly don't remember what happened, but I remember never getting it. D:
I caught a shiny Roselia in Diamond and shortly after that I found a shiny Machoke.

yea i have plenty, many are 'fakinies' thoguh, ((AR-generated))
my current main legit Shiny, is Bowen my gallade
He's a legit shiny, and has careful nature, he also has poor ivs, however i always wanted a shiny Ga-liner whether Gardevoir or Gallade, or Kirlia or Ralts,
i caught him on diamond, using an ultra ball, and raised him to Level 100 in battle without letting him faint, and no rare candies
so EVs suck too...
utlimately he's my first elgit since R/S/E/FR/LG
In platinum i found a shiny serious female Sneasle, and caught it using a random ball (might be luxury) and evoed it imediately after teaching it Beat Up, and ahve leveled her up but trianed her for speed/atk, even sitll atk is over speed (higher iv)
but back in R/S/E/LG/FR i caught a shiny Xatu in Emerald
G/S/C i found a shiny hoppip, but was outta pokeballs
thats it really

My first legitimate shiny was a Spearow with an impish nature and i quickly evolved him into a Fearow. Then a Machop with i think a careful nature(why couldn't it be adamant sad ). My friend was lucky enough to get a shining Charizard and a shining Rayquaza sad

My friend was lucky enough to get a shining Charizard and a shining Rayquaza sad actually you could use careful just as much: Careful: +SpDEF/-SpATK and as Machamp s highly prone to psychics and ghsots who use a lot of special moves, the extra 10% spdef is very helpful

I only have two and both of them from Diamond and I freaked out because I though it was a glitch but then I saw a thread in the gaming forum and calm down. I almost didn't want to save my game LOL. Yeah I have low level Roselia that I found shortly after getting the pokerader (I haven't found another shiny since) and Geodude when I was on my way to the elite four.

I almost didn't want to save my game LOL. Yeah I have low level Roselia that I found shortly after getting the pokerader (I haven't found another shiny since) and Geodude when I was on my way to the elite four. not a bad duet Roselia/Rade is a powerful sp.attacker and geodude/golem line is pretty good wall-wise, you've some useful pokemon there, and yeah black-rose-roserade and pale golems are kinda cool imo

Might make a killer combo since Rock/Ground moves are weak against Grass types.

I have three total shinies: A golden Oddish in Pokemon Gold and a green Wingull and brown Graveler in Pokemon Pearl. I've never used them much because I was paranoid that they'd change color when the evolved. *L* I know they won't, but still...
In a somewhat related note, has anyone ever had the Pokerus? You know, the "virus" that makes your pokemon stronger? I've played hundreds of hours in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, but I've never gotten it.

I got it in my first Ruby playthrough and transferred an infected pokemon over to my Diamond.
I can give you a PKRS pokemon if you wish, however there aren't many pokemon I don't have aside from legendaries if you wish to trade. >.>

I've played hundreds of hours in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, but I've never gotten it. heh, i love the rus, hwoever it simply is mistaken, it doenst make the overall stornger, bt doubles their EV gains like Pokerus'ed male Ralts uses confusion on Machop, isntead of 1 ATK EV, it gains two, and pkrs stack with macho and power items so pkrs male ralts with macho brace ko'ing achop becomes imbued with 4 ATK EVs with pwoer bracer, the machops. given amoutn rockets to 5, then the rus doubles it to 10 it simpyl speed up the stengthening, but it normally only stays in the party for the rest of the day (midnight it becoem non-spreadable if in party, if in box, then it stays spreadable, so if yo uget t, save one or two "pathogen" pokemon)

I have the greatest shinie story of them all or at least so far in my own opinion
I was walking in the grass minding my own buisness you know and i had a repel on so i needn't worry but i forgot that my front party pok'emon was really weak and a came upon a Kindove lighter pink slowpoke appeared and i didnt really think it was shiny cause i missed the "Shiny Radiance" or whatever you like to call it but when i went to serebii to check out the moves it could learn i noticed the shiny versus the normal and i finally figured out it was a shiny but long story short i forgot to buy decent pokeballs and didnt catch it , i totaly regret that day xD
