Anyone have anything to say about the Lupin videogames? Wether it be the PS2 one or the Japanese exclusive releases before that? Or even Cliff Hanger (the Laserdisk arcade game of the late 80s) I never got to see how they made that fully. I just saw a clip of the first few minutes crying It's amazing how they can chop up bits from Castle of Cagliostro and Secret of Mamo and make it fun xd

I would love to get the US Lupin game for the PS2, I just have to get a PS2... crying I'm in the process of saving up. I know there are quite a few other Lupin games in Japan, but I don't have any of those, either. I don't have a converter to play japanese games.

Try downloading the NES game....though it's tough. Cliff Hanger I have heard you can buy off people in eBay to play on the PC and as for the PS1 game it is a graphic adventure, so dont worry about it....we all could not understand it unless there was a ripped version in the internet that was translated. And that I wish I could find. And speaking of that I we can post bit torrent/game download sites here right?

The PS2 game was pretty fun, but I only rented it because I was borrowing my brothers system for a short time. I'd like to buy it, though. They left something off the end, but I made my own ending from one of the last scenes you see. It was more of joke, though. But, anyways, I have the Cagliostro nes rom and the Lupin III snes rom, but they are all in japanese and haven't found the translating file for them. sad So, playing them isn't all that fun since I have no idea what's going on.

Those were the only roms I found out of the many Lupin games they have released in Japan. And I saw pictures of a shooting arcade game in japan.

They need to release them over here, though. And I read where the GameCube game will most likely not be released over here, even though it's a story adventure game, but still. The story and art is all original and made for the game.

I don't mind. I could even put them up in the "Links" section. I don't have anything against downlaods. wink I've had to get my last three Lupin features that way. So, go ahead!

Yeah, you have to look at websites. If you're talking about the Lupin game released in the US.

The US game has no strategy guide, Puddle Jump books was in charge of getting the released and printed, but due to copyright stuff and lack of money to do it, or something like that, there is no official game guide.

It actually doesn't really need one, the PS2 game. I got frustrated twice since I couldn't seem to get what I was supposed to do to work, so I had to go check to make sure. It was a really cool game, though. Wish I owned it.

BTW does anyone live near or usually attend the Classic Gaming Expo? I saw in Tips & Tricks Magazine that they sometimes have Cliff Hanger (Lupin the 3rd cut and pasted laserdic anime adventure) avaible to play. If I would be able to go only...I could take pics. But I think that is in Las Vegas or somewhere in the mid-US and I'm all the way up here in Canada sweatdrop

I found a site with laserdisc roms and they have Cliff Hanger, but I didn't download it to see if it was the Lupin game since the laserdisc emulator for the mac refused to work, but if anyone wants to see if they work or anything here's the site:

EmuAsylum

And here's the page with the roms on it:

Laserdisc ROMs

As for an emulator, I tried Daphne, which they have for windows and mac and was recommended for laserdisc roms. I want to play Dragon's Lair, too... sad

It just sucks since there's not a lot of Lupin roms out there. I was trying to find the one for the Sega Saturn and couldn't. And the same for the PS2 game.

I'll try it out later, thanks! ^_______^ BTW has anyone played the game Rolling Thunder for Arcade, NES, and Genesis (part 2 and 3)? The guy there sorta looks like a jacketless Lupin with a slightly different colour pallete (has red shirt instead of blue but since it IS a red shirt, at least in part 1, makes it look like Lupin's jacket xd ). And I think I've seen similar enemies like from Rolling Thunder on Lupin 3nodding

I have the Lupin game for ps2. It's okay I like the pioneer (or should I say Geneon.... ewwww.) voices. but the controls are wonky, the camera sucks and to be honest it not lmao funny like the episodes. The best feature is the music. I LOVE jazz and Yuji Ohno and the Explosion Band KICK a**. Some of the best muisc I've heard in a video game since GTA Vice City AND San Andreas!
