Manabu Seido Rooftop The rooftop of the MS Building, seventy stories up, is the perfect place from which to get a feel for Carter City's layout. The edges are guarded by a nine-foot-tall chain-link fence.

Nevin and his robot reached the top of the stairs and punched through the door leading to the roof. The wind was blowing more strongly, and he shivered as his mech stepped out into the concrete surface. With Shara's binoculars, they should be able to see most of the city from here.

Emerging on to the rooftop, Shara holstered her pistol and pulled out her binoculars. This would be a good place to scope out the area. They could also probably do some damage, though it wouldn't help them to destroy a robot and not pick up the evidence.
"Nevin, watch the stairs. I don't want anyone sneaking up on me while I'm trying to take a look around."
Not waiting for a response, she walked over to the fence surrounding the rooftop and began looking across the city.

Nevin nodded and rolled his eyes when he realized that she wasn't paying attention to him anymore. Quite the partner, that one. Still, he moved into position in front of where the door used to be and looked down into the darkened stairwell, readying machined guns to fire when he needed them.

It didn't take Shara long to sight some action. There wasn't much motion in the city, since it was now abbandoned except for people like her, who came to hunt the robots, and the robots themselves.
"Nevin, something is moving on the rooftops around downtown." Putting away her binoculars she moved back towards the door. "I'd wait to see more, but we are short on time now. Better hope we dont run into anything to serious on the way, or they might not still be around when we get there."

Nevin shivered again, though this time it had less to do with the cold. "Alright." He would still have preferred to do it from up here. Still, there was no arguing with Shara's logic, and even less arguing with Shara, herself. He moved his mech clumsily back through the doorway and down the stairs. There were already a few dents in the robot, and he didn't know how damaged it would be before this was over.
