The Hunger Games is a young adult science fiction novel written by Suzanne Collins. It is also one of my top all-time favorite books to read to date. So I was wondering if anyone else has read it and felt the same way? Or thought of it from a more negative perspective? Just post ahead and share your comments and opinions below. (: If you haven't read it yet though, here's a summary:
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Summary: "In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and her younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before--- and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love. "
The Hunger Games is a trilogy and has recently released its second book Catching Fire in September 2009. I haven't personally read it yet but it's been placed on order and along the way.
Discussion: (optional) -Like/Disliked it? -Favorite part? -Favorite characters? -Team Peeta/Gale? (If you're on a side) -Any random ideas as to what might happen next? -If you were to be in any district which would you choose? Think you'd survive the Games? -Any favorite quotes?
And remember to include spoiler alerts if there are any!

I love that book, and the fact your username's based off her her pin is extemely cool. I'm answer as best I can, though I'm still reading Catching Fire.
- Loved it! -I loved it when Peeta made his confession, and basically any part when Kat does something shocking. -Cinna, Kat, and Peeta, in that order. -Peeta, I think -It's too surprising to be predictable. -I dunno, but I definetely know I wouldn't survive very long. I just don't have the skills.
