OK, I had a treasure chest here today, but it requires a key, which requires gaia cash, which is different than gold...
you can't buy this with gold, just doing offers or paying cash? I am not willing to fork out money to gaia, and I don't want to sign up for a bunch of offers, so it I want this key, or the snow apples or prolly a myriad of other things, I can't get them? The chest went away now, but I would have done it if I was able...
Seeing as I missed so much I realized I didn't get the past years halloween event stuff either, and while its not like I need it, I think I want to buy it all, opened and not, and I am glad I got all the christmas stuff from caroling, but I also have extra stuff, anyone need it?
Help me out with the other gold/cash issue though, I know the last time I was active, the cash thinger started coming out, but it was only for use on clothes in shops at teh beginning and then I slunk away and missed a LOT I guess...

Oh - it'll be back. It used to be in aquariums - and then it moved to pages. It's so annoying. It's just another cash grab. I believe tektek has a list of possible items you can get from it - and you can always check the marketplace for the items. I don't believe (though I could be mistaken) that you can buy the keys on the marketplace - but I know you can get the items on marketplace (for stupid expensive - but I think prices have dropped quite a bit now on most of them). Ask Rye if he's got any left overs. He often has multiples from each year. (though some of the items have been getting harder, and harder - so I don't know how many he's managed to get) You haven't really missed a LOT. The thing is: it worked. They got lots of money. So the biggest difference now is that all the good items get released in the cashshop, for real money. And once every 6 months or so, if we're lucky, they update goldshops with some half-assed items.

Ah, you found one of the toasters. Naito keeps trying to tell me its a trunk, but I'm positive it''s a toaster.
To be completely honest, I don't bother with any Gaia items anymore. I gave away all my objects of value to PJ members, collect nothing new, and only buy the occasional new item. Heck I don't even dress myself anymore, Teddy and Naito have my PW and do it for me xd I only come to Gaia to talk 3nodding heart

I'm with Zath. I don't bother with Gaia anymore, only PJs. Check the marketplace for keys. I dunno if there are any there, but if you want to pay gold for something, that's the place to do it.

hahahaha so i am not the only one that thinks its a toaster..... it looks like a toaster that my grandma has....
aoife hunny everything on gaia that is worth anything is for cash...gaia has sold out big.....
is anyone mad about the caroling stopping before xmas? i didnt even get all the items... im short the scarf to have everything... i think but i was trying to get extras this year so i might be able to make some gold later.... they already shut if off.... that is bullshit....

I didn't get any of the items. Didn't have the time to focus to do it. confused
Anyways Karma is right about Gaia selling out. Everything worth something is easiest via cash (and usually originally derived through Gaia Cash).
But as Cricetian said, the marketplace is your only saving grace if you wanna attempt to get anything with gold.

I'd be nice if they update the gold shop as much as they do the cash. The cash shop is coming out with stuff too often now.

Aoife! ~huggle~ It's true, all the nice items on Gaia now cost actual money. I still don't pay real cash for my pixels, but that doesn't stop me lusting after the sparkliest ones. I scrounge up my gold to buy the stuff for ridiculous prices on the Marketplace. ~shakes fist~

OK, explain other things to me here as well...
what is/why is something soulbound to you, what does this mean, how do you do it? I saw it say it meant you couldn't sell it, but I never do that with anything given to me anyway as I take presents from friends and they are dear to me, whatever the value (I got this offee cup I am holding now from Joby 2-3 years ago now for Christmas and it's more dear because of that)
What the hang is this evolving stuff? How do you get it, why, where, what does it need to do to evolve, is it a game thing or what? I see people talking about it, and I am so confused. I don't neccessarily want any, just curious to what it is.
