Sounds good to me. I'd be interested to hear peoples insights on different scores, and such. 3nodding

The first time I saw Danny, he was in composer mode. On the Edward Scissorhands DVD soundbytes, with the wild hair, the way-too-huge-for-his-face glasses, the passionate hand motions when talking about certain cues? He was forever in my mind a composer. Rock star was just a plus. whee

Those last two sentences were EXACTLY the same for me, as well as, I'm guessing for the much of the rest of the guild.

Probably. Especially now, because although most every day people don't recognize the name; he is famous, and widely considered as a brilliant movie composer. Boingo maybe gets a footnote, but it's still so rare to meet up with people who automatically know who they are.

Yeah, but maybe not so rare as I thought. One of my friends on Gaia, who I have known for a while since we started a wish avatar buisness ended up being a big Boingo fan! She is now a member of the guild, but has yet to post.
Her name is Freyda Alexandria, I think, I dunno she changed it. It used to have the initials WB.

I love Danny Elfman's work, thats that. I already own Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, & Edward Scissorhands. I need more, alot more, but at the moment these would suffice. My favorites soundtrack out of all of them would have to be Edward Scissorhands. Just the mere mention of that soundtrack sends my mind a sense of bliss. I've been meaning to get a Boingo CD, but I can't find any (and my parents aren't really into the whole 'buy online' thing)

Try looking at any small record stores you might have around where you live. That's where I found a lot of my stuff, besides online, in the shops where people can sell their old CDs that they don't want anymore. Because.. Boingo's not really in high demand. But that's a good thing! A very good thing. heart

For us youngins anyway. Because we are sorta like little packrats who steal from other people's trash! surprised Plus, they're cheaper that way. domokun

Yes, they are! Well, I got Anthology at one of those stores, and it was still $30. But that's okay, because they hadn't opened it. Go figure. sweatdrop

The truth is that I haven't watched Edward Scizzorhands in YEARS. And I've only ever seen it twice. This is mostly because the time that I have seen it, I've found myself horribly depressed for weeks afterwards.
But last time I watched it I was....eight or nine. So I plan on watching it on Friday. I have my own copy of it, along with Nightmare Before Chrismtas. I watch Nightmare Before Christmas twice a year! The second time is coming up! I watch it every year around halloween, and then again around Christmas! I don't understand what there is not to like about it. It is dark, yes, some people find that attractive about it. But it is also incredibly adorable, and it has nothing inapropriate. It has intense action, it has romance, it has GREAT voice acting, and animation, and a VERY coherent plot!
I get the feeling that the majority of my friend who say they don't like it too much, say that because of the movie's croud following. They don't understand. About 20% of it's fans are...well...posers. But it seems alot more to those friends of mine, because the ENTIRETY of that 20% go to my school. And only about 5% of the fans at my school are NOT posers.
But..."After all...we're flesh and blood."

Nice little tie-in there. whee
Yes, you're right about the fan following. Makes me sad and dissappointed. And angry. So I try not to think about it.
Aww, Edward! I haven't watched it in a long time, either. But not quite as long, daresay. I like watching it with the commentaries. <3

I plan on watching it with the commentaries over the break!
My plan:
Friday-Try to get some friends to come over and watch the movie normally with me.
5 Days Later on that wednesday I'm going to watch it with the commentary.
Chrismtas Eve- I am going to watch Nightmare Before Christmas!
Christmas Day- Since I'm not christian I won't be doing anything, so I might watch watch Frankenweenie.
Every other Day- Listen to all the new Boingo Albums that will undoubtably arive by then! I ordered them on Sunday!
