Well, 2009 is almost over. As we reflect on what are hopes and dreams are, or where they're going, we also take the time to--
ANYWAY, our little tentacle temple is proud to announce the first annual New Year's avatar contest: Dawn of the Tentacle. Here is the skinny!
1. Using the help of tektek.org, construct the best tentacle-themed avatar your imagination can come up with. You do not HAVE to use tektek, but there will be no bonus for using your own items. And, naturally, there will be only one entry per person.
2. The contest will be judged by the three crew members: myself, Kino, and Tora. Kino and Tora's entries will be a bonus Colloseum round that will be judged by popular vote.
3. You may begin submitting entries as soon as they are ready, as I would really like to announce winners on New Year's day.
4. And, the segment you have been waiting for, the rewards:
First Place: 150,000 Gold from the Imperial Vault
Second Place: 100,000 Gold
Third Place: 50,000 Gold
I look foward to your entries, and wish you all safe and happy holidays!

Here's my entry! I kinda wanted to take a step back form the typical. This girl's used to it. A tentacle monster is coming out of her bathtub and she says "Meh."  I know she's a little naked, but I really couldn't find anything appropriate to cover her. If you really want something more school-appropriate, I have covered her in a towel in this one.  Of course, she is sweat-dropping at this addition.

I know I said that I would have "liked" to announe winners on New Year's Day, but my judges have been hard to get ahold of to consult. Well... I take that back... Since we were all in the same room on New Year's Eve but we were all distracted by Star Wars Monopoly and I had a bad cold. >__> Yeah, excuses aside, I shall now announce an extention to see if I can get a few more entries.
