Minaka was by the pond. It was the only thing Hong seemed to like to stare at. She tended to watch the little girl since she seemed so troubled, plus it gave her a sense of a family since Minaka had never had kids or a mate.
Hong caught a salmon before trying to eat it on her own. Most of the time she would respect Minaka since she showed patience with her, but there weren't too many she tolerated since she found them stupid.

Lynn was strolling along the forest with her already-grown fosterling, Nina. She'd missed spending time with her, "It's getting close to your birthday, Nina," Lynn smiled. "Do you want to meet with any friends to celebrate it, as well as Christmas?"
Nina had followed her Mother without missing a beat. She missed the good old days, where she wouldn't leave her side, with her softly singing that sleepy song when Nina had first been found. Then, a frown took over her features as she thought about friends, "No...I haven't really met anyone....other than that Tsubassa boy, but I've only talked to him once..." Then, she turned and headed for the pond, "I'm thirsty. Maybe we could stop at the pond?"

Minaka looked up to see two wolves approaching. "Oh hello there! It's nice to meet you. I'm Minaka and Hong's the one over there."
Hong eyed Minaka. "I can speak for myself and yes my name is Hong." She then went back to eating her salmon since she was starving.
Minaka sighed. "Don't worry about her. Anyways, what brings you over here tonight?" She tried to put on a cheerful face for them since she hadn't talked to adult wolves in a while since she would take in children quite frequently who were abused or left to die.

Lynn smiled shyly, happy that the two she had found were both female, "Oh, hello," Her light voice chimed. "My name's Lynn, and this is my fosterling, Nina." She smiled brightly at her little girl, who wasn't so little anymore.
Smiling despite herself, she glared softly over at Lynn, "Moom.." She muttered, faintly embarrassed. "We just stopped by for a drink," Nina informed them, just as softly. She still didn't like others that much...and she got an eerie feeling from this Hong Moonlit.

Minaka smiled back at them. "Well it's nice to meet you Lynn and Nina. We were just out for a walk today and now as you see we are stopped here or at least till Hong finishes up her food.
Hong wasn't paying any attention and kept eating her food, but yet she felt eyes on her and turned her head around. "You aren't staring because of my looks are you?"
Minaka shot a glance at Hong. "Hong...be polite. They aren't thinking your a demon that will attack them...or at least I hope not." She tried to lighten the situation by chuckling a bit, but sighed it wasn't getting that far. "Hong how about you go prep the room?"
Hong nodded her head. "Alright." She got up to leave feeling extremely uncomfortable.
(I'm sorry about Hong...she's paranoid at first. She's like Kyo from Fruits basket if you know who that is.)

"Maybe we could go for a walk together! It'd be nice to walk with another group." Then, Lynn got closer to Minaka and whispered, "Besides, I'd like to get Nina socialized more with others, so she's not so timid. She may look adult, but she's still mommy's little shadow. It seems like Hong's a little of the same way," Then, she turned her attention to Hong, "Why, yes I am, because you're just so cute!" Lynn smiled brightly at the little red puppy, her words sincere. Her patch-worked coat taught her that looks don't matter.
Nina shot a shy glance at Lynn's suggestion, before lowering her head to drink in silence. After a long draught, she responded with a mere shake of her head to the younger Moonlit.

Minaka shrugged. "Well...we can try, but Hong can get jumpy." She smiled. "Right now it would be best to let her relax. We can see her in a bit it's just for the better." She got up and stretched. "When I first met her she was biting and clawing me most of the time. I'm just glad I didn't get burnt."

Lynn nodded, "I think it's for the best, too. Nina nor I wouldn't hurt anyone, but Nina can be sort of skiddish." She said this in a lower voice, for while Nina was quiet, she did have quite the temper, "She was terrified when I found her - I'm lucky she didn't run away."
Nina just sat down at the water's edge, gazing at her name soul before her. She really did look beautiful, just like Lynn and the rest of the 'pack' back home kept saying. A soft smile came over her lips.

Minaka looked over towards Nina. "Has she always been like that? Shy and scared?" She glanced back towards Lynn. "I'm guessing she must have a bad past experience or it's just her personality."

Carefully, Lynn nodded. "Do you remember when Agrona stole those puppies for Christmas a year or two back?" Lynn asked, "Well...Nina's one of the ones that was puppynapped."

Minaka looked shocked. "Really...that poor girl...I have to wonder how those poor children all ended up like. Did they even know their birth parents?"

Lynn nodded, but then drew back and sat on her haunches, thinking. "I hadn't really thought much about it before, but....I guess not. I don't think Nina's even seen her birth parents. She must think I'm the closest to a mother she's got....." Her eyes drifted to the now full-grown, who was drinking from the river out of earshot.

Minaka looked down. "Ah...I see." She looked up to her. "At least you're there for her." She looked away for a moment then looked back, but thought it better not to ask too many personal questions for politeness. "Well if you want I can get you both some nice warm drinks." She looked around for Hong who was nowhere in sight. "Hong...I just hope she doesn't turn out bad in the end." She smiled a little bit to herself afterwards. "I tend to take in most puppies to care for that don't have a family since it's almost like me having a family." She wagged her tail back and forth. "It's really nice, granted it would be nice to have a mate, but I'm not in any rush since I'm quite busy myself."
