The noise coming from the market becomes more and more deafening as you approach. Hundreds of people haggle, chitchat and trade with goods from all over the world.
Here you can sell or buy items.

"The place is at the far back," Meria recalled to Seth as she stopped running and leant back by the first stall of the Market.
"And the man's a bit wierd, looks and personality- so try not to stare or anything."

Seth grinned. "No worries. I try my best to not stare at everyone in this city." she said.

Meria laughed, "Fair enough," She turned her head towards the bustling market and stood up straight.
"Come on," Meria called as she started weaving her way through the crowds.

Seth ducked under arms and pushed through the crowd after Meria, every now and then tossing her hand into a pouch of money and withdrawing something.

When they reached the stall, Meria leaned over the wooden counter, "Get Dian for me, will you ?" She asked the worker and she motioned her head towards the deep red curtains cutting off the rest of the stall.
As the man nodded and went through, Meria turned round to Seth, "Well we've been pretty lucky today," She acknoledged, sounding impressed.

"No kidding" Seth grinned "I can't believe that get away. Acting like gods" she finally gave way and giggled. "Lets just wait for crime and punishment then. Though I'm sure Hermes got a laugh though" she added with a crooked smile.

Meria laughed, "That was probably the worst idea I've ever heard, nice job, Seth."
She looked past Seth towards the opposite stall of small clay statues, and she tilted her head, "Do you believe in those Gods then?"

Seth shrugged "I guess. It's just the way I was raised really. Though I don't really...well, let me just put it this way, I believe in them, but I don't really respect them. I don't respect anyone who gets all they do and still want to hurt people." she shook her head. "What about you?"

Meria smirked and shook her head, "Nah, I think it just undermines... everything- it takes the beauty out of it knowing where it came from, you know?"

Seth grinned "Hadn't thought about that." she said. "Still, I guess I like being certain about something. You should know as well as I do, when you live this kind of life, there's almost nothing to be certain about."

"Yeah," Meria countered, curling her lip, "But that's what makes it fun."
As she spoke, a dark-haired, heavily stubbled man stumbled out from behind the curtain, Meria turned around, "Hi Dian, we've got some huge treasures for you."
Dian nodded, his eyes glazed, "Ya'know a havunt worked the magic-y bottle from last time yet."
"It'll take time, I said that before," Meria reminded him.
"Ah yeah..." Dian mumbled.
He then took notice of Seth, "Who she?"

Seth paused for a moment before clearing her throut. "I'm Seth" she said and turned to a whisper to Maria "What up with him?"

Meria laughed, "Drunk probably," She whispered back, turning back to Dian and lifted up the bag and set it on the counter, "Here. Charmed Gold, said to bring good luck and immortality with one touch- given a year or so to develop, of course."

Seth leaned against the counter and raised her eyebrows. Immortality? From someone who doesn't believe in the Gods? but she said nothing.
