when i get vodka they always ask if i want oj or pineapple juice..... its so much better with pineapple juice!

What? You guys have never heard of that? A lot of people get REALLY red in the face (like a bad blush, or a sunburn), when they drink.
Ever watch anime? Lots of times the anime characters will get really red in the cheeks and face to denote 'drunkenness'.

I have really fair skin, probably do to the Scandinavian influences in my genetic makeup. So it's probably a touch of rosaceaQuote: Other Causes Triggers that cause episodes of flushing and blushing play a part in the development of rosacea. Exposure to temperature extremes can cause the face to become flushed as well as strenuous exercise, heat from sunlight, severe sunburn, stress, anxiety, cold wind, and moving to a warm or hot environment from a cold one such as heated shops and offices during the winter. There are also some food and drinks that can trigger flushing, including alcohol, food and beverages containing caffeine (especially, hot tea and coffee), foods high in histamines and spicy food. It should be noted that foods high in histamine (red wine, aged cheeses, yogurt, beer, cured pork products such as bacon, etc.) can even cause persistent facial flushing in those individuals without rosacea due to a separate condition, histamine intolerance. Yeah, anyways that is why I say my face 'feels like Christmas' when I've been drinking, because it's all flushed and hot. Starts with my nose, then across my cheeks. My ears, my chest, and sometimes my arms get red. And it will stay that way until I process the alcohol. Part of it could be an increase in blood pressure, which alcohol can do. I also feel overheated when I drink, so an increase in body temperature might be making me flush. My face flushes for pretty much all the reasons above, let alone psychological things, like being embarrassed or aroused.... actually any extreme emotion makes my face red. It's a damn give away. stare So it's like the stereotype of a drunken red nosed Irishman... it has a wee bit of basis in truth.
