Alright. Just so we stop clogging up that other thread, which do you believe is better out of the two City-States? Sparta, the brutal and war-like city-state, or Athens, the boy-loving philosopher city-state?
(Also, if you don't really know about them, I suppose you could wiki it.)
Keep in mind that this is a friendly debate, and we're not here to deliberately insult anyone's intelligence, swear horribly, or attack anyone personally. Keep on topic, please.

Anyways;

I like Sparta. :3

Athens all the way! If they were to battle, Sparta wouldn't stand a chance, Athens can easliy outsmart the Spartans. Athens is wise while Sparta is cruel.

The raid? I don't care about the raid. If they had war. A bttle. To end it all. Athens would annihilate. I mean they were known for their smarts. Psartan is kwon for their military sthrength. Athens can easily trick Sparta into a trap of some kind.

Athens can easily out smart Sparta!
PostPosted: Sun Dec 20, 2009 4:19 pm

I dunno if they could. I mean, Spartans weren't stupid. Their military strength wasn't just strength in battle; they pretty much invented the phalanx (I forget how to spell that...) and every battle involves strategy. They wouldn't have won so many times if they were so easily outsmarted.

I'd rather pick Sparta. Yes it's harsh but women actually have rights! and war just makes everything so much better!
