 Client: Drowzee Culprit: Haunter Mission: "My wife and child are in there! Please rescue them from that horrible kidnapper!" Dungeon: Cave of Unknown Floors: 13 Rewards: Hypnosis TM and ??? “Mwahaha! We have a mission rescuing Someone’s family? Gahaha!” Albite XI snatched the flier Shannon was holding and skimmed through it quite quickly… Shannon had just returned from the Palace because she wanted to get the first mission… Luckily, the found one! “A lot were taken… It was hard to find one but I guess I did!” “Yes, a rather dull one at that… Though it’s a start, last night’s incident with the Giratina was a pity wouldn’t you agree…?” Shannon shrugged and grinned a bit, “Oh, yes, luckily though I didn’t get knocked out like some people…” Albite frowned a bit and shook his head. “Watch yourself, I wouldn’t want anything unfortunate happening.” After an awkward silence that lasted a minute, Shannon spoke again, “So where are we headed to? I’m nervous…” “Nervous? Mwahaha! You’re so pathetic for a leader but it is rather hilarious watching you squirm in your own fears… Remember your saying? Gahaha!” Shannon stared blankly for a moment before replying. “Oh! Ha-Ha, I had almost forgotten! ‘There is nothing to fear but fear itself.’” Shannon then shrugged and nodded. “I guess you’re right… I’m being too weak… Let’s go!” Shannon began to walk slowly to the door while Albite walked right past her. “You need to keep up because I am terribly sick of your self pity… Are you purposely trying to walk slow or is that something you can’t help? Gahaha! Who cares, it almost sounded as I were really concerned!” Shannon shook her head and brushed off the mean comment just made. “Mwahaha! Upset are you. I will be at the entrance… Hurry up!” Albite began to run, leaving Shannon in the distance.
Shannon arrived in front of the cave of the Unknown soon after Albite had arrived… Though he acted as though she took forever… After scolding Shannon for a few moments, Albite turned and looked up towards the cave… He hadn’t paid much attention to the place until now. “Mwahaha! Looks like we’re going to get to play!” Shannon sighed and shook her head for she knew this meant that Albite XI had full intentions of battling Pokemon in the cave. “Um, let’s try to avoid battle okay?” Hearing this, Albite burst out in hysterical laughter. “Gahahahahaha! What?! Avoid a battle!? Now, now deary, what good would that do? Most certainly not make us stronger… Mwahaha! Avoid a battle… Mwaha… People will think you of crazy!” Albite ran into the cave with a wide grin revealing all his teeth. “But… It’s… Frightening…” Shannon walked close behind and the two went into the cave…

I. Shannon and Albite entered the cave in which there mission would start… No surprise came to Albite when Shannon began to shake in fear. “Oh what a bother! You’re already shaking? Here I thought you would strengthen yourself… Would it be safe to assume I’ll be the one fighting the wild Pokemon? Ha-Ha!” “S-Stop! I’m doing my best! … It’s just… Damp in here… So I’m cold…” Albite rolled his eyes in a manner that showed his disbelief for the poor excuse… Albite looked around the cave quickly… Stalagmites hung low from the ceiling and seemed to be as sharp as nails… He knew it would be best not to mention it to Shannon because she’d probably have a minor heart attack… The floor was covered in damp mold and moss but if it were dark enough, you’d just figure it to be grass. The walls of the cave seemed a bit odd though… “Well, well, well! Look her Shannon!” Shannon turned to where Albite was pointing, which happened to be a wall, but there was something on the wall! “Unown symbols? Oh, wait! I can read these I think… L…E…A-“ Albite rolled his eyes and laughed out what it really said. “Mwahaha! –Leave now or perish within these walls!-“ Shannon swallowed in a painful was and turned to Albite. “Wha- Look out!” Shannon pointed to a Zubat who was flying towards them! “Extrasensory!” Shannon lifted her arms and gripped the Pokemon with a Psychic type move, causing it to fall to the ground. “Mwahaha! What a fool! Posion Jab!” Albite charged to the Zubat, now on the ground, and impaled it with a Poison Jab causing it to faint. “Good Shannon… Mwahaha! You fooled me into believing you were scared! Ahaha!” Albite walked on to floor two before Shannon could even reply… This warning… Is it… Real?... Who is Drowzee’s family’s kidnapper? Did they make this… Oh dear! I need to find out… Not just for myself… But for Albite as well… He’s so head-strong. I need to make sure he’ll be okay… Shannon walked ahead to floor two.
II. Floor two was even worse than floor one! Well… Not really! The floor was still covered in moss but the Stalagmite that dwelled so low in floor one seemed to be at a lesser height giving Albite more room to fight if he needed to… But there was something else that caught Shannon’s eye, something of far more value than any ol’ cave… “Look Albite! Isn’t it lovely! Oh a jewel! A Jewel!” Albite rolled his and flailed his arms in the air like a little school girl. “A jewel! A jewel! I can’t believe it,” Albite said in a mocking way, “Mwahaha! We have no time for such things! Do not forget, we are on a mission and well, who needs that!? It is time for you to focus on rather serious things, like growing power!” Shannon sighed quietly and looked at the ruby that was buried in the moss on the ground. “I wonder what it’s here for? Maybe someone dropped it…” Albite continued to walk on to floor three but before they could get there, a sudden moan came from deep within the cave that seemed to be the cries of a mummy come to life. “Ahh! What was that!?” Shannon gripped the jewel on the ground and ran behind Albite as a sense of shelter. “Mwahaha! A fight is it!? I’ll be more than happy to play with someone!” Albite’s hand began to glow as though he were preparing a poison Jab… Several minutes passed with no sign of anything coming from floor three. “M-Maybe it left?” Albite rolled his eyes and grinned widely. “Mwahaha! As if, it’s obviously waiting for us! Perhaps it wants us to play on its playground? Gahaha!” Albite ran on to floor three, but as Shannon followed, something happened! Her ruby began to glow brightly, then, in the blink of an eye, it shattered! “W-What?” Shannon looked to the remains of the ruby and then turned, for something caught the corner of her eye. “W-Who’s there?” A Misdreavous appeared from a wall and let out a shriek laugh. “Ehehehehe! Hello pretty, what are you doing here? Mayhap it’s time you left! For I’ve no time for intruders!” Misdreavous launched a Shadow Ball at the Togepi, “Oh dear! Metronome!” Shannon spun her hands and before she knew it, she vanished! She had not actually vanished however, luckily, her Metronome caused the move ‘Agility’, which enables her to move at lightning speeds! “Twerp! I’ll get you!” Misdreavous inhaled, preparing another Shadow Ball. “N-No! Ancient Power!” Misdreavous launched a Shadow Ball at the same time Shannon used Ancient Power. Both collided, however, Shannon was a wee bit stronger, thus her move came crashing through and knocked Misdreavous out! “I-I… I did it! I was so… Frightened…” Shannon stared at the knocked out Misdreavous for a moment before running on ahead to floor three.
III. Even though Albite didn’t purposely leave her, Shannon couldn’t help but feel a bit angry at him… “Mwahaha! I saw the whole thing! Though I wouldn’t dare ruin your fun you seemed to be having.” Shannon, now panting, rolled her eyes and frowned. “I don’t want to hurt my enemies… Why do they… Why do they insist upon fighting?” Shannon looked around and saw that this next room in the cave seemed much like the last, with the exception that it was quite dark and there was hardly any light to see with! “It is in our nature to fight! No one says you have to… but you’d end up in your early grave if you choose that path! Mwahaha!” Shannon sighed at Albite’s disturbing remark and looked away. “I… guess you’re right… Still, I wish Pokemon were nicer.” Albite shook his head in disappointment and walked on, heading to floor four. “When will you learn little girl? Fighting progresses you through the stages of life! You want to evolve don’t you?” Shannon paused her breathing for a moment. Evolving? Shannon never actually thought about evolving… Would she change for the worse… Or Better? “Oh well look what we have here! If it is not another Pokemon that thinks it’s brave! Gwahaha! Shannon, won’t you allow me to vanquish this one? Perhaps you’ll see the truth about reality and all its wonders!” Shannon remained quiet… She didn’t want to cheer on his life-style. “Bah! Who cares! I will fight this Koffing anyways!” Koffing grinned widely and charged at Albite with a Body Slam, but was quickly, (and quite easily) dodged! “Do better than that! Oh no, your times up!” Albite whipped up a Mud Bomb, and once Koffing began to come closer with another Body Slam, Albite lunged the mud across the Koffing’s face knocking it out! “Gahahaha! That was just too easy!”Albite laughed for severely seconds before walking on to floor four. Though it can’t be that shocking that he forgot about Shannon. “… Evolving huh? No time to think about that… As Albite sort of said… Mission first!” With that, Shannon ran up ahead to floor four as well.
IV. “Oh my--!” Shannon panted as she walked on to floor four… Something about this place seemed… Oddly eerie… The walls dripped of silver water that seemed to slow before it hit the ground. “Floor Four is quite the surprise… Gahaha! Wouldn’t you agree Shannon!?” Shannon sighed and looked away… The whole sight of the floor seemed to creep her out, if not more than fighting! “Well, what do we have here!? It appears as though some of our guests are trying to cause a scene! Might as well take them out if I do say so myself!” Shannon and Albite turned towards floor five to see a Golbat looking at them. “Golbat… Be careful Albite! This is the evolve form of Zubat… Meaning it’s much more powerful.” Albite grinned widely and prepared a Poison Jab attack. “Mwahaha! I guess that’ll mean we may have to play harder!” Albite lunged into the air and came crashing down towards the Golbat whom had already begun to prepare a Air Cutter. “Well, I do suppose it’s time for my introduction. I am Firfir! The most divine of Golbat’s! Prepare for Air Cutter!” When Albite was close enough, Golbat, also known as FirFir, launched an Air Cutter knocking him back into the air! “Well, you’re still in the air? How interesting! I like a Pokemon who’ll fight with me in the air.” Firfir flew into the sky and preformed an array Wing Attacks on Albite! “Gah! No fair, y-your cheating you pest!” Albite gripped his hands together and waited… “Well, Wing Attack!” Golbat came in and struck Albite in the stomach giving him the perfect chance! “C-Counter!” Albite spun around and punched Golbat with all its might sending it smashing into the ground! “N-Now… Shannon…” Shannon stared bewildered for a moment at the Golbat on the ground before nodding. “R-Right! Extrasensory!” Shannon grabbed the Golbat with psychic abilities and began to stretch it out and then threw it to the ground! “I-I want an oran berry!” Shannon nodded and tossed an oran berry to the side of Albite… “Mwahaha! What kind of aim was that!? Oh whatever!” Albite picked up the berry and began to eat it quite rapidly. However this time, Shannon was the first one to get to floor five… Maybe because she didn’t like the site of floor four… Who knows!
V. “You seemed rather… Determined to get out of there! Gahaha! How dull! You afraid of a silly Golbat? Not that I could care less.” “No, it’s just… This mission is getting almost… serious and endangering.” Albite laughed wickedly and then wiped away a tear of joy. “You are such a fool! Fearing a mission?! Now, Now… Don’t tell me you forgot what you signed up for, now did you? Hmm!?” Shannon continued to walk on, towards floor six. She was on her own mission to finish this mission before they got hurt even more. “I wish we could just snap our fingers and it would be done… Great huh?” Shannon smiled warmly in a hope to cheer herself up and then continued, but a pokemon appeared! “Gahaha! Look there! A Poochyena! How funny!” Albite stepped towards the Poochyena, “I’ll take care of this one in… One round!” The Poochyena snarled then lunged at Albite with all its might… Though all its might seemed to be pretty pathetic! “Gahaha! Karate Chop!” Albite lunged and slung its hand across the Poochyena’s face knocking it to the ground, instantly knocking it out! “Gahaha! So pathetic, it’s sickening to know there are actually Pokemon like this…” Albite then thought about the last floor and began to frown. “Bah! I suppose you are right Shannon, it is time we got out of here… This place is beginning to work on my nerves quite ferociously!” Shannon nodded and walked on to floor six… It grew apparent that there was nothing of special importance that floor five offered except for some weak Poochyena.
VI. After walking on to floor six, Shannon realized something. “Is it fair for me to say we’re about half way there Albite? Or should I just wait for floor seven? Either way, I’m growing nervous… What could have stolen this family of Pokemon?” Albite shrugged, not really in the mood to talk which is quite odd for him. “What is the matter? Is everything okay?” Albite nodded and decided it’d be best for him to speak up since Shannon would prod at him until he did. “That last Pokemon was awfully weak! Like… Oh never-mind!” Shannon sighed deciding it wouldn’t be good for her to keep talking to him… If he didn’t want to… He wouldn’t! “Oh! Look Albite! A Pokemon!” Shannon pointed to a Koffing that just seemed to be relaxing with itself. The Koffing gazed over to see Team Advent staring at it. “Come on Albite, it spotted us!” Albite sighed and replied, “You take this one, you’ll grow weak if you don’t fight as well.” “…Albite…” Shannon gave Albite a worried look before running into battle with the Koffing whom was already preparing a Sludge attack. “Extrasensory!” Shannon grabbed the Koffing with her ExtraSensory and slammed him to the ground. “Now, Ancient Power!” Shannon launched several glowing rocks at the Pokemon. The rocks smashed into the Koffing, shattering into a million pieces before fainting it. “I did it! I can’t believe it! Look Albite I—“ Shannon turned around to see that Albite was already on floor seven… “… I wonder what’s wrong… And it must have something to do with that Pokemon from the last floor doesn’t it!”
VII. After the incident with Albite not talking, Shannon out herself on a side mission to find out what was wrong… Though it wouldn’t be best for her to be straight-forward with it because Albite hates that kind of stuff! You know, compassion. “So uh… You should speak up more Albite… And yes, that Poochyena was weak… You beat him pretty easy!” Albite shook his head at Shannon’s proding but yet, decided to give in and confess his troubles. “I’m a bit upset to be honest. You see, I’m not one to dwell on losses, though the one with the Golbat really has put me in my own snare.” Shannon scratched her head slightly confused… What was he talking about? “You won that one didn’t you?” Albite shook his head and sighed once again. “Not the way I would have expected. I should surely evolve thus making myself quite the opponent for one to handle! Do you not agree?” Albite grinned but quickly dropped it as though to appear angry again. “Yeah—“ Shannon stopped talking, for she saw a Stunky walking around before them. “Ew! They really stink! Can you handle this one Albite?” Albite rolled his eyes and prepared a Karate Chop. “How could I say no to this one?! I almost forgot my most important rule… You can’t get stronger without fighting.” Though Shannon didn’t believe in this, she nodded to his slogan as though it were correct and allowed him to take on the opponent… Hopefully he would get back into spirits! Albite lunged and Karate chopped the Pokemon whom happened to be preparing for a Poison Gas just in time! He then barraged it with a Mud Bomb knocking it out quite fast! “Albite! You did great.” Albite snickered and grinned widely. “Mwahaha! He was weak, nothing to talent now is there!” Albite walked on to floor eight almost too proud while Shannon walked close behind sighing in relief.
VIII. Floor eight seemed much more cheerful then six or seven… Holes filled the cave ceiling reveling what seemed to be parts of Jagged Canyon. The hot-spot that was close by. “Pretty exciting! I can’t believe how happy this floor is.” Shannon smiled as she grabbed a flower that lay on the ground. She then sniffed it and tossed it back down as her own way of saying she had been there. “Gahahaha! Pretty brutal aren’t we? Flowers live as well? And as long as you remain self-righteous, I’ll correct your ways! Gahaha!” Shannon rolled her eyes and pressed on… Hopefully they wouldn’t have to damage the flowers any more than necessary. As they walked on, they encountered an Unown Q that seemed to be a bit angry with them. “I wonder why that Unown is upset!” The Unown that was boiling mad and shifted its gaze to the torn flower on the ground… “Oh no! I think it might be my fault…” Shannon stepped forward in a apologetic manner, bowing her head. “I’m very sorry! I didn’t know these flowers belonged to anyone.” Shannon looked up to see that Unown Q was launching a Hidden Power attack! “Oh my! Swift!” Shannon launched a bundle of stars at the Unown’s spheres creating a colossal collision between the two attacks. “Mwahaha! Nice defense Shannon. Now allow me to clean up the mess! Poison Jab!” Albite jumped into the air and slammed Unown with a Poison Jab while it was still preparing a Poison Jab. Luckily, they managed to knock out the Pokemon. “Hurray! We did it… Sorry Unown… I hope you’ll understand…” Shannon bowed once again before running on to floor nine, followed close behind by Albite this time.
IX. “So Hm… I wonder what could be ahead… I think the mission said that his family was kidnapped!” Shanon hadn’t thought much of the mission itself… Only that she wanted to get through the cave… Though as they grew closer and closer towards the end of their mission, she couldn’t help but think about what was to come… Shannon and Albite continued on to floor ten… Quite shocked that this floor didn’t have any Pokemon to fight… It seemed as though every floor thus far had something to offer… Well, except for this one! Floor nine was in a since, a bust! “I can’t believe our foul luck… Perhaps the cards are not in our hands this time eh?” Albite laughed dryly and walked on leaving Shannon to catch up…
X. Once they reached floor ten, they realized, in their own perspectives, that their luck had just changed! Not one but two Pokémon stood side-by-side, almost as though they were waiting for a Pokémon to appear. “Misdreavus! It’s that evil Misdreavus from before!” Shannon pointed to a ghost type Pokémon that laughed at that accusation. “Ehehehe! I see you’ve quite the eyes on you twerp! No matter, my beauty outshines yours so if we were actually put side by side, people would like me more! Ehehehe! You ugly thing, it’s time for a battle!” Shannon shrugged and turned to Albite with a vengeance in her eyes… “I’ve got this one! You handle that Ekans!” Shannon pointed to the Pokemon slithering next to Misdreavus. “S-Sis… I don’t want to fight… Why are they here?”Misdreavus flipped her hair and rolled her eyes. “You idiot there here because they want to bomb this place!” Ekans flinched at the sound of that but quickly got into a fighting stance “Bite!” Ekans lunged at Albite but before it could land a hit, Albite launched a Mud Bomb, bursting on impact with the Ekans and knocking it out. “That wasn’t nice Misdreavus! You lied to him! We’re only here keeping peace!” Misdreavus then cut off Shannon before she could say no more, “Quiet twerp! You have no idea how hard it is,” Shannon put her arms to her sides and listened to what more Misdreavus had to say. “He’s not like us! He’s not here to cause havoc! He believes in peace and goody two-shoes types of things! Puh-lease! He’s a loser!” Albite snickered and grinned widely. “Yes! Yes he is! I’m quite astounded someone would see my way once in a while!” Shannon sighed and ignored Albite’s comment. “I’ve defeated you once, I’ll defeat you again! Only this time, because I have a reason!” Shannon used her Metronome, which turned into a Shadow Ball! “Shadow Ball, go!” Shannon launched the Shadow Ball, exploding on impact with the Misdreavus knocking it out… “Floor Eleven I presume? Staying here will make you feel much more bitter… Gwahaha! Perhaps we should stay?” Shannon shook her head and looked to the knocked out Ekans… Poor thing… Fighting for a lie! “L-Let’s go Albite…” Shannon turned, only to see that Albite had already left!
XI. Floor Eleven wasn’t that big… Not much for them to see there except for what seemed to be foot prints! “Look! Mwahaha! It appears as though, Drowzee’s been here!” Albite pointed to foot-prints on the ground that seemed to be directing them towards floor twelve… “Oh my! I wonder why Drowzee was here? Perhaps he wanted to protect his family?” Shannon looked around to see that floor eleven was pretty much empty… “Mwahaha! Of course… That fool… He must not be a very clever one wouldn’t you say?” Albite laughed quietly and turned to floor twelve and walked off leaving Shannon on floor eleven all alone. “Ugh! Why does he always leave me--?” “I comprehend why.” Shannon turned around to see a Gastly grinning widely at her. “W-Why?” Gastly laughed hoarsely and continued on, as he drifted towards her. “For the reason that he wishes to.” Shannon scratched her head… he was quite the odd one… It appears as though he wanted to drag his sentences out… But it was annoying in a way. “Well… I guess I’ll be going to then!” Shannon began to walk away but Gastly shook his head. “You can’t abscond immediately!” Shannon paused for a moment trying to translate his last sentence, but before she could, she felt an eerie presence… “W-What the?” “I’m using gravity to depress you to the soil.” Shannon turned around and scratched her head. “Foresight!” Shannon blinked several times before focusing back on Gastly her was getting irritated. “Won’t you listen in to my sentences?” Shannon rolled her eyes before launching a swift… It was obvious he was an attention whore! “Tee-Hee! Swift can’t wound me!” Gastly remained motionless, unaware that Shannon had just used Foresight…
The stars closed in and knocked out Gastly before he even realized it! “Wow… That was… sad?” Shannon shrugged and ran on to floor twelve, immediately trying to forget what just happened.
XII. Shannon walked to floor twelve, only to see that Albite was in a battle of his own… With a Haunter! “Gahaha! Nice one… You almost hit me with your Sucker Punch, but of course, you didn’t! Gahaha!” Albite laughed manically as Haunter launched a Shadow Punch at him. Luckily, Albite was pretty flexible and swift in close range combat making this move easily dodged. The Haunter seemed to be getting quite angry with the Albite who seemed to be breezing through the battle. “Albite, be careful!” Albite snickered at Shannon’s concerned comment and replied “Gwahaha! Don’t worry of me. Think of the Haunter who was arrogant enough to offer combat with me!” Haunter let out a deep roar and launched a Night Shade, though this time it hit, knocking Albite to the ground “Gahaha! You got me didn’t you, no matter, your death will be of no importance to me now!” Shannon grew worried as she watched Albite get straight back up and continue to launch a barrage of Poison Jabs which did almost minimal damage. “You ill me with your terrible shades of damage. Perhaps it’s time I sought this to end. What do you say ol’ chap?” Haunter lifted his hands into the air creating what seemed as though to be a Shadow Ball. “Look out Albite!” Shannon pointed to the Shadow Ball, but Albite was too distracted to pay attention. Haunter thrusted his hand downward and behind his hand was a rather large Shadow Ball! Albite snickered and tried to dodge, but it was no use! Albite went flying across the pavement and laid motionless. “Albite! Oh dear!” Haunter frowned and turned to Shannon. “Sorry dear, but he was being very irrational. You’d understand wouldn’t you,” Haunter looked behind himself to floor thirteen and turned back around. “You must leave now… Terribly sorry.” Shannon shook her head and launched her move Foresight without the recognition of Haunter. “Go! Ancient Power!” Shannon lifted her hands into the air and pulled several boulders from the walls with an invisible force. She then launched them all at Haunter. Haunter tried to destroy them but only managed to detonate one with a Shadow Ball before the rest pummeled him, knocking him out…
“Albite! Albite!" Shannon ran over to Albite who seemed to be doing just fine. “What happened… I thought you were hurt?” Albite snickered and looked to Shannon. “Mwahaha! Of course not dearie. I couldn’t get hurt so easily, I do have the move rest, which in a situation like this… I used!” Shannon sighed and eagerly ran to floor thirteen followed by Albite who seemed to be just as eager to go there as she did.
XIII. The two walked to floor thirteen… The final floor of their very long mission, what would be in store for them as they walked on to the forsaken floor that held a family. “The culprit--!” Shannon turned to another Haunter that seemed to be even more violent looking than the Haunter from before. “Mwahaha, looks like he wants to play!” Albite got into his fighting position and glared straight into the Haunters eyes… The Haunter seemed pretty tough, somehow, it had a scar across his eyes making him look even more vial. “You’re under arrest!” Shannon pointed to the Haunter but heard something from her left. She then turned and let out a gasp. “Oh look! It’s the Drowzee who gave us the mission! What are you doing here?!” “I-I, I came to rescue my family but…” “Shut-up! No talking prisoners! He came here but my sissy brothers took him out… he posed no threat at all!” Haunter snickered and began to prepare a Shadow Punch. “Mwhaha, be prepared Shannon…” “Shadow Punch!” Haunter vanished in mid-air and reappeared behind Albite and punched him directly in the back knocking him to the floor. “Oh no, Albite! Quickly, I need you!” Haunter directed his gaze to Shannon who seemed harmless enough… Though to take out his two brothers, he knew he’d need to be cautious of her. “Let’s dance little lady! I’ll show you a good time.” Haunter grinned eagerly, which managed to creep out Shannon a little. “Ouch… No thanks…” Shannon lifted her arms and launched an ancient Power attack. “Wow, that’s not even cool…” Haunter used a move which seemed to be an ordinary Shadow Punch, however he used it quite quickly, managing to destroy all the boulders! “Oh no, you’re strong as well!” Haunter nodded and quickly formed a Shadow Ball and launched it at Shannon. “Foresight!” Shannon scanned Haunter right before she was struck with a Shadow ball, sending her to the ground. “Gah! I can’t lose now… Not with this family here!” Shannon stood back up as well as Albite, who seemed to have several injuries… It must’ve been from the last Battle as well… “Mwahaha! Not bad eh?” “Follow Me!” Shannon spun and pointed her hand to the air, forcing Haunter to attack her instead of Albite. “S-Shannon? You’ve gone madder than a hatter! What is this? You getting attacked… Mwahaha! You’ll be killed.” Albite put on the face as though he didn’t care but he couldn’t help but show a slight hint of concern. “I-I need you to attack him… I’ll keep him away from me with Swift…” Albite nodded and jumped at Haunter and attacked him with a Poison Jab. “Yall’ are good! Shadow Ball!” Haunter launched a Shadow Ball at Shannon but it was quickly deflected by a Swift. “Now! Full offense Albite!” Albite nodded and began to punch Haunter rapidly with poison jab while Shannon used Swift, both of the attacks caused a serious amount of damage to the Haunter since he couldn’t get to Shannon. “Gah, yall’ are not getting away with this!” Haunter let out a light snarl and launched a psychic, picking up Shannon! “Oh no! Metronome!” Shannon waved her hands causing them to turn bright Pink! “What? What’s this… Attract!? Oh no!” Shannon launched several hearts at the Haunter causing him to fall in love with her! “Wow… I never realized your awesomness until now…” Haunter licked his lips as he gently placed Shannon on the ground. “…Oh my… Albite, release the family… I’ll take him back to the guild…” Albite nodded and took the family and held out his explorer badge. “Mwahaha, won by technical difficulty! See you at the guild?” Shannon nodded and with that, Albite vanished with the family. It was just Shannon and Haunter left in room thirteen. “So Um… I need to defeat you.” Haunter nodded, still with hearts in his eyes. “Yes… In a battle? Will that win your love for mine to myself?” Shannon sighed, thanking everything that she was a girl… Otherwise he wouldn’t have fallen in love… who knows? “Extrasensory!” Shannon grabbed Haunter with an invisible force and stretched him out before slamming him to the ground causing him to pass out! “…Wow… No one will believe that I defeated a Haunter… Not once, but… twice!” Shannon pulled out her explorer badge and with that, she teleported back to the guild.

As the two explorers returned to the guild with the Drowzee's family, the patriarch pulled out a Hypnosis TM, handing it to Shannon with a wide grin. "Thank you, thank you!" he said, before looking behind the two, giving a little eep, and running out; his wife followed, but not before speaking briefly with the little child Drowzee, who went up to Shannon. "You're so brave! Please, can I join your team?"
It became apparent that what had startled the Drowzee was the appearance of several other Pokemon from the dungeon. First, a Golbat, who laughed and winked at Albite; second, a little Unown Q who carried along with it a healthy flower; and finally, a wimpy Ekans, who looked like he just wanted to be free of his sister, who was pushing him in before she teleported out.

 Shannon _____Albite XI
Albite stepped up to receive the reward and was quickly off before he even said thank you! "U-Uh, Albite! Come back," Shannon sighed and shook her head. "I'm sorry, he's very stubborn about gratitude, so thank you!" Shannon smiled warmly before getting a tug from a young Drowzee asking to join their team... Shannon grew a reluctant look on face... Taking a child from their parents!? That seemed wrong... But then, she couldn't help but feel as though he might be a great resource to their team... Thus, Shannon nodded under pressure. "Yes, Yes you can join." Shannon turned to go home when she realized that a Golbat, Unown and Ekans appeared... All seemed happy to be there. "Y-You all want to join!?" The Pokemon nodded but Shannon only had room for one. Shannon turned to the Golbat and shuttered thinking about how Albite would react to that, while she then turned to Ekans and Unown Q... Both were kind and had only fought them because of accidents..."Um, it's hard for me to say, but Ekans, you can be on my team." Shockingly, instead of getting mad, Unown Q took the flower and placed it on Ekans head. "Be the Pokemon I could never be okay?" Ekans nodded and smiled as the Golbat and Unown Q flew away... And with that, another mission has come to an end.

~ Team Tethe’Aigzae ~ ~ Aigzae ~ Tethe ~ Client: Exeggutor Mission: "Oh please, someone help me! My poor baby Exeggcute has been kidnapped by a vicious gang of Sneasel! I shudder to think what those nest-raiders may do to my darlings, you must save them as soon as possible!" Dungeon: Cave of Unknown Floors: Client's baby last seen on floor 13 Rewards: Smoke Ball + ???
A young Shinx looked at a paper with the mission that he and his partner had taken. Looking up, he saw the entrance to a cave. “This is it… Cave of Unknown…” Aigzae said before putting the paper into their bag. “You ready Tethe?” Aigzae asked his partner, a female Absol. Tethe nodded in response and, with a smile, looked into the cave entrance. “Thirteen floors… we can do this. Let‘s go!” Aigzae remarked with a smile before running into the cave, with Tethe following behind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They were in the first floor. No signs of anything yet. “You see anything yet Tethe?” Aigzae asked his team mate. “Nothing yet Aigzae!” The Absol answered, looking around. “Wait! Over there!” Without waiting for Aigzae, Tethe ran ahead, following a corridor, even though it passed the stairs to the next floor. “Tethe! Wait!” Aigzae muttered and ran after Tethe, following the long corridor after her. " Thank Arceus this thing doesn't branch off..." He thought to himself as he continued down the hall. Soon enough, he stopped, finding Tethe in a battle with an Unown A. "Tethe! You need any help?!" Aigzae yelled, but Tethe shook her head as she used Bite on the pokemon she was fighting. The Unown attacked, using Hidden Power, knocked Tethe back a bit, but with a finaly Headbutt, she knocked the Unown unconscious. "Nice job Tethe!" He congratulated his partner on the fight before backtracking through the long hall back to the room with the stairs. "Come on. Let's go, Tethe..." Aigzae said before going down to the next floor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the two went to the second floor, they saw a corridor directly in front of them. "Looks like this is the only way to go..." Aigzae said, before taking the path down the hallway. However, when they emerged into the next room, both Aigzae and Tethe were shocked to see seven different pathways leading out of the room. "Holy Miltank! Which way do we go?" Tethe wondered aloud. "How are we gonna decide this..." Aigzae thought about it before he got an idea. "I know! Let's take a peak through each of them to see how far they go!" He suggested. "Come on!" He ran to one of them to look through. "Corridor one stretches too far... The second hallway looks like a dud..." Aigzae kept looking through each of the rooms until he came to the fifth one. "Tethe! I can see the stairs!" He yelled excitedly and ran through the corridor, with Tethe following behind him. However, once he walked inside the room he immediately stopped. He looked around and he could see eyes in the shadows of the room. "What's this..." He muttered to himself before he realized what it was: A monster house. As pokemon began to appear in the room, from the shadows, from other corridors, Aigzae began to back away. "Tethe... run... NOW!" He yelled and his team mate obeyed, turning and running back into the first room. It was then that the pokemon began running at Aigzae, and he began to back away. "Stay back!" He yelled as he used Spark, hitting an Unown and paralyzing it. He made sure he was in the corridor again before fighting more of them. That way, he couldn't get mobbed by pokemon. As a Sneasel Slashed him, he used Headbutt and jumped back. However, his plan for not getting attacked by more than one pokemon was failing, as Sneasels were beginning to use Icy Wind. "I can't take these guys on alone..." He muttered before he saw Tethe waiting by one of the corridors, waiting for him. "Come on!" She yelled before running into a hallway, and Aigzae followed her as fast as he could. There were a lot of twists and turns, and the hallway kept branching off everywhere. "This'll probably lose those pokemon!" Aigzae said to Tethe as they finally reached a room. As Aigzae walked inside, he realized he'd gone completely around and re-appeared at the room with the stairs. "Well, that was useful!" He smirked and ran down the stairs to the next floor, Tethe following.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Aigzae and Tethe emerged onto the third floor, they saw that the room was huge. They couldn't even see any corridors at any of the walls. All they could see were some pokemon around the place, some wandering around, some sleeping. As they looked around, a Shuppet turned it's head and saw them, and began floating towards them. Tethe noticed this, and, since Aigzae wasn't looking that way, jumped at the Shuppet and used Bite when it grew close, hitting it and surprising it so much, it flinched. The flinching gave Tethe another chance to use Bite, and so she did. By this time, the Shuppet was out without even a chance to attack, and Tethe returned to Aigzae. "Come on Aigzae. I think I see the stairs." She said and began walking towards the other side of the room, with Aigzae following. As they were about to get to said stairs, a Poochyena and a Misdreavious jumped in front of them with a menacing look in their eyes. "I'll get the Poochyena, you get the Misdreavious!" Aigzae said to Tethe and instantly used Spark, hitting the Poochyena with the element of surprise. Tethe jumped at the Misdreavious and used Bite, hitting it with extra strength. However, the Misdreavious wasn't flinching like the Shuppet had, and it attacked with a Shadow Ball. However, this being a Ghost move, barely effected Tethe, and she struck again, easily taking out the Misdreavious. The Poochyena hit Aigzae with a Bite, making him flinch, and it used Tackle after that. Aigzae used another Spark, but the Poochyena didn't seem to show any signs of weakening. That is, however, until Tethe jumped behind it and used Bite, making it turn around to attack Tethe with a Bite of it's own. As this happened, Aigzae used Headbutt, and the Poochyena was finally down. "Thanks Tethe..." Aigzae said with a smile. "No problem..." Tethe replied with a smile, and if she wasn't covered in fur, then Aigzae would have seen her blush. "Come on, let's keep going. We still have ten floors to go..." She said to Aigzae before running down the stairs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 & Team HTPNClient: Aron Mission: I saw a little girl go in there alone! I'm really worried, please make sure she's okay! Dungeon: Cave of Unknown Floors: 14 Rewards: Metal Claw TM + 500 PD~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "O noes!" The leader of Team HTPN gasped as he saw the bulletin. "Sheena! We have to take this mission!" The Chinchou jumped up into the air and ripped the piece of paper off the bulletin board and showed it to his partner, Sheena, the Sunkern. "What?! A little girl's missing?!" Sheena's face turned red ready to explode with anger. "WHAT KIND OF PARENT LOSES THEIR CHILD?!" The outburst caused many other pokemons to turn around to stare at the small pokemon who's voice outranked her size. "When we're done with this mission I have to go talk to this so called parent!" "Ignoring that for now..." Zelos smiled as he took the piece of paper away from her face and started reading it more carefully. "It says here that the child was last seen in the Cave of Unknown, about 14 floors down..." The Chinchou turned towards his partner who has calmed down from the anger for the moment. "The cave of unknown? I heard that cave is the most dangerous for beginners like us..." Sheena looked worriedly at Zelos. She already knew what Zelos was thinking. He was going to go regardless of harm or anything in order to save the little girl. "Knowing you, your gonna go anyway...so there's no stopping us from leaving." "You know me so well." The Chinchou smiled happily as he jumped away from the bulletin board. "Come on! We're losing sunlight! We need to get there before we get lost or something!" Sheena stood there puzzled for a bit. How the hell can someone take something this serious, that...well calmly. She, herself was about to explode with anger, but how can Zelos remain so calm? Shaking her face, she nodded and followed Zelos towards the Cave of Unknown.
----------------Time skip to the Cave of Unknown-------------
"We're here!" Zelos shouted with excitement. Darkness already surrounded them as they made their way to the mouth of the cave. "We would've been here earlier if we left PREPARED!" Sheena panted appearing out of the bushes with their supplies. Inside of the supplies box were two apples and two oran berries, hopefully those were enough for this mission. "Being prepared is not as fun as going in there headfirst." Zelos argued, chucking a bit as he looked into the dark cave. "I wonder if we could survive on two apples and two oran berries in here. I mean this is the cave of unknown, anything can happen in here..." "O, is the great Zelos having doubts now?" Sheena laughed, remembering how cocky he was before they left. "Nah...It's just that...I heard rumors about this place. How that little girl maybe just a ghost haunting it's burial ground..." Zelos looked into the darkness of the cave, swallowing his spit before....JUMPING IN THERE! "WHAT THE HECK?!" Sheena yelled at the top of her lungs. Half of her body was died from the story, but then scaring the heck out of her from the jump. "You better hope that ghost is real or else I'll make you into the next ghost of the cave of unknown!" Sheena yelled as she followed in after him.
Floor 1...
Team HTPN took the Cave of Unknown headfirst, unprepared of what could happen. Their only goal at the moment is to save the girl last seen on the 14th floor. Let's see what happens to our adventurers next...
"Charge!" Zelos whispered in a high tone, his voice echoed throughout the cave. His charge attack created enough light to see where the duo was going, but not far enough to see anything that might be standing in their way. "Hey...how come everything is so quiet?" "Well this is a cave...is it suppose to be loud?" Sheena mocked Zelos as they continued in a straight path. So far there were no turns or anything, just a straight path forward. "I mean like...it's too quiet. I mean in caves, you'd usually see some pokemons or some sleeping pokemons, but it's like dead silent..." Zelos whispered, unsure if they were being watched or followed. But something for sure was bothering him. "Now that you mention it..." Sheena stopped to listen carefully, and like Zelos said there was no noise coming from any directions. Not even that creepy sound of water dripping from the stalagmites. "Zelos?" Unbelievable. Zelos left without noticing that she stopped! "Zelos! When I get my hands on you...?" Continuing faster on the path to try to catch up, she couldn't find him anywhere. There was no light or anything coming from any directions. Zelos basically vanished from their location. "Zelos?" Sheena whispered worriedly, fear took over her tiny body as she started backing up. "If this is some sort of prank you'll be sorry!" Shutting her eyes shut so all the darkness and fear would escape her. Reopening her eyes, she was staring eye to eye to another pair of eyes. "Lick." The cloud of smoke attacked. It's long tongue whipped Sheena across the face, causing her to fall down to the ground. "Hahahaha!" The Gastly laughed at Sheena. "Now let's see what we have here..." The Gastly opened up the supply box and looked at it awkwardly. "Is this really all you have?!" The Gastly yelled at the unconscious Sunkern. "I've met worst adventurers then you and they were more prepared!" "No one talks to my partner like that! Zelos randomly appeared out of the darkness, his eyes glaring at the Gastly. "No one talks to Sheena like that...EVER!" "I was wondering why there was only one adventurer in this here cave..." The Gastly stared back at Zelos and merely laughed. "You think you can defeat me in battle?" "No, not without her help." Zelos smiled as the Gastly turned around to see that Sheena wasn't paralyzed anymore. "Seed Bomb!" Sheena jumped back and threw seeds out of the top of her head. Exploding around the Gastly causing him to go temporary blind. "Water Gun!" Zelos added onto the combo, pushing the Gastly into the rock wall. "Nice try for some amateurs! Now let me show you how to really fight!" The Gastly laughed as he faded into the walls. "Shadow Ball!" The voice echoed all over the cave, making it hard to tell from which direction the attack was coming from. "Sheen---" Zelos stopped paying attention to tell his partner to be on the lookout, causing him to be hit by the attack himself. "Ugh..." The Chinchou fell to the ground face first. "Zelos!" Sheena cried out as she dropped the supplies box and rushed towards her injured ally. "Gastly you'll pay for that!" "Go for it! You can't hit what you can see!" The Gastly laughed as his voice continued to echo throughout the cave. "Not true..." Zelos muttered using the rest of his strength. "Find his shadow..." Zelos gasped for air then went back onto the floor. "Save your strength...help with be on it's way..." Sheena had two opinions. One was to rush back to the supplies box and grab an oran berry for Zelos, but if she did that Gastly might still attack her. That'd be pointless. But if she went after Gastly first, then Gastly might take the supplies box or even worst, take Zelos away. "I got it! Sheena thought to herself as she looked down at Zelos. Taking his words, "Find his shadow..." instantly gave her a plan. "SUNNY DAY!" The Sunkern shouted at the top of her lungs as the cave started to illuminate with a bright light. "ARRRGGG!" The Gastly shouted in the pain of the sunlight. "I got you!" Sheena yelled, finding Gastly's shadow in the wall. "Solar Beam!" Within a second, the sunlight disappeared as the beam created a gigantic hole in the wall. There was no way for Gastly to escape from that. "Nice job Sheena." Zelos laughed skipping over towards the hole in the wall. Gastly fainted on the other side of the hole they were on. "I wouldn't have ever been able to do that." He laughed a bit as he jumped over the crater in the wall. "What?!" Sheena yelled at the top of her lungs. "YOUR OKAY?! WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ME IN BATTLE OR SOMETHING?!" "Correction, I am now okay. I used Aqua Ring while you used the Solar Beam. Healed me right up, but if I did Aqua Ring while Gastly was still around, he might've...I don't know stop me from healing?" Zelos laughed as he waved towards Sheena. "Now come on, you created a shortcut to the stairs see?" Happily he jumped towards the stairs and waited for Sheena. "Your impossible..." Sheena muttered as she grabbed onto the supplies box and rushed after Zelos.
Floor 2
"Look!" Zelos shouted, his charge attack in use to illuminate the strange turns and twist of the cave. "Foot prints!" The Chinchou pointed at the strange tiny footprints, with water drops following behind them? "What could this mean?" Zelos asked Sheena continuing following the footprints. "It could mean that she's scared?" Sheena looked up ahead to see the footprints continue on and on. "Come on, we got no time to waste!" With haste the duo followed the footprints down to the next floor.
Floor 3
"O no..." Sheena whispered as they continued following the footprints. They were directly under a bunch of sleeping Zubats. "Zelos whatever you do do not make the light brighter..." "Bright? Alright I'll try too." Zelos said continuing to follow the footprints. "CHARGE!" With the follow up charge, his lights became brighter, causing all of the Zubats to wake up. "AHHHHHH!" Sheena shouted, dashing ahead of Zelos. "Huh?" Looking back, he saw it. A flood of Zubats about to chase after him. "Erm...if you need me, I'll be...thataway!" Without realizing it, his body started running before finishing his sentence. "You could've told me we were under zubats!" He shouted towards Sheena as the crowd of Zubats started to catch up closer and closer towards them. "I told you not to make your light brighter but you did!" Sheena argued back. "If I told you we were under the zubats you would've looked up and made your light brighter either way to see them!" "Very true!" Zelos nodded in agreement, knowing that would've been something that he would've done. After a good minute or two of running, Zelos soon realized something. "O wait! I'm an electric type and zubats are part flying...right? NO TIME TO THINK GOTTA ACT!" Stopping his tracks, he turned around towards the Zubats and used another Charge. "What is he doing?!" Sheena stopped, running back towards him. "Your gonna get hurt!" She shouted towards him. "Don't worry about it! I got this!" Zelos laughed as he waited for the Zubats get closer. "DISCHARGE!" Within an instant, all the front line Zubats got zapped, causing the ones behind them to get zapped and the ones before them. Dozen by dozen, the Zubats fell to the ground. "I told you I got this." Zelos laughed as he saw Sheena's facial expression. She looked like she was about to explode with anger...again. "Anyway, look over there! Stairs!" Ignoring Sheena's soon to be outburst, he dashed away from her before she could say anything.
Floor 4
The duo continued on their journey towards the little girl, but little did they know they were being followed from a distance ever since the beginning of the cave. Unaware, the two continued onto the next floor.
Floor 5
"O no!" Sheena cried out as she soon realized that the tracks they were following were soon washed away. "The rest of the this floor is flooded with water!" "So what? I'm a water type and you can basically float over the water." Zelos pointed out. "If we run into trouble or anything, I could just use sparks or discharge to zap the pokemon away." He laughed obnoxiously. "If your so sure about it..." Unsure and worried, she continued onto the next floor with Zelos.
Floor 6
The cave just got more depressing the last couple of floors. At least at the last floor there was water, but this time on this floor. There was nothing but darkness and a single path. The path seemed to be there all on it's own, and worried about what would happen if you would slip off of it. Zelos kicked a pebble off of the path and the results? Nothing was heard dropping. Panicking, the two rushed towards the stairs. "AHHH!" Zelos screamed as he fell off of the path. "Don't worry I got you!" Sheena dug her teeth into his flipper and started to pull with her all her might back onto the path. "GEEZ YOUR HEAVY!" She muttered as she dropped him back onto the path. She herself was panting out of exhausting. "Anyway there are the stairs, let's keep going!"
Floor 7
"Psssst Sheena!" Zelos whispered. "What?" Sheena whispered back. Psssssssssssttttt Sheena!" Zelos repeated. "What?!" Sheena yelled back at him as they continued onto the path. "We halfway there!" Zelos laughed as he watched Sheena's facial expression change all of a sudden. "Your so adorable when you get angry~" He laughed as he raced down to the staircase.
Floor 8
Lately, the stairways have been easier to find, except for this one. There was no staircase anywhere on this floor. It's like the cave just ended itself here in order to keep the two of them to continue to find the missing girl. "Zelos do you know where your going?" Sheena questioned him. "I know of course." Zelos laughed as they came upon a fork in the path. One to the left and one to the right, both of them looked familiar. "It feels like we're going in circles." Sheena exhausted landed onto the ground. "I don't think I can take anymore of this..." She dug into the supplies box and took a bite out of the apple. "Sheena really?" Zelos turned around and looked at her weirdly. "What ever happened to the Sheena I knew that would do whatever it takes in order to do whatever?!" Zelos jumped up and down until Sheena would give him an answer "I just don't have the energy for this any longer. I miss the sunlight and artificial sunlight isn't as enjoyable as the real one..." Sheena spoke with sorrow, continuing forward without knowing. She was exhausted to continue on this floor. "Erm...Sheena..." Zelos tried to tell her she was about to run into the wall, but as she hit the wall she vanished into it. "....what?" He poked the wall where Sheena disappeared into and jumped in there himself. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The both of them shouted as they fell multiple floors. They just basically fell through a hole...on the side of the wall. Zelos looked back up to see a Gengar laughing at the top of the fork in the road. The stairs were right there, they just fell into a trap before hand.
Floor 13
"Owy..." Sheena muttered as she picked herself up from the ground. "Stupid Gengar..." Zelos patted his body in order to feel better. "Aqua Ring!" Zelos's body started to glow, healing himself from the massive amount of damage he took from about a five floor fall. "Good idea..." Sheena laughed, chucking as if she was drunk. "Synthesis!" Her body too started to glow and afterwards she shook off the pain and laughed. "Ha, Zelos finally had a good idea!" "I know I know. I surprise myself everyday too." He laughed as he looked at the stairway ahead of them. He knew that they both weren't at full strength especially from the Gastly battle, plus the Zubats, plus the Gengar and his prank, but they had to get ready for whatever was waiting for them on the next floor.
Floor 14...DUN DUN DA DUNNNNNN~
"Do you see anything?" Zelos asked Sheena in the plain darkness. "Yeah! I can see...you being an idiot and forgetting to turn on your lights." Sheena mocked him as they continued down what seemed to be a spiral staircase...without the steps. "O yeah..." Flickering his lights on with charge, the two of them entered a large open space with a lone pokemon in the middle of the room. Small footprints led to her as a puddle of tears lead up to her. "HEY ARE YOU ALREADY?!" Zelos shouted towards her. "NO GET AWAY!" She cried warning the two, but it was too late. "Guess who?" A voice echoed throughout the room, confusing Sheena and Zelos from where the voice was coming from. "O no! Not Gastly again!" Sheena panicked as she got ready to battle. "Hey, I thought we got rid of Gastly on the first floor!" Zelos looked at Sheena and then tried to locate where the voice was coming from. "Gastly? O no no no. My pathetic excuse for a brother? You did that to him? You deserve a hand of applause." Floating down from the sky was a Haunter, laughing his butt off. "And I'm sure you met my older brother when you fell down that long long long long trap. My older brother, he and his pranks." "Get away! Before it's too late!" The little girl shouted. "He's gonna..." "That's enough girl!" The Haunter turned to her, his eyes turned red. "Hypnosis..." Within a second, the girl fell asleep. "I'll be right with you as soon as I'm done with her. DREAM EAT..." "WATER GUN!" Zelos shouted, blasting the Haunter in the back. "It's not polite to attack someone with their back turned to you..." The Haunter said formally, and almost too calm for comfort. "SHADOW BALL!" "Not so fast! SEED BOMB!" Creating as much confusion as she could, Sheena grabbed onto Zelos and threw him over towards the girl before the Haunter could suspect anything. "Discharge!" Zelos shouted, shooking electrical shocks towards Haunter. "Thunder Punch!" Haunter shifted his attention from Zelos towards Sheena, his fist rose high with the Discharge building up the energy within the Thunder Punch. "Your friend over there isn't very bright is he?" The Haunter laughed as he threw the punch at Sheena. "AHHHH!" Sheena gasped for air as she was punched into the wall, her body created a dent into the rock. "Your gonna pay for that..." Sheena muttered as she tried to get out of the rocks, but couldn't. "Ha really? Looks like your kinda stuck there." The Haunter laughed as he picked his fingers onto her leaf, pulling her out of the stone and throwing her towards Zelos and the sleeping girl. "Looks like I can finish three all at once. SHADOW BALL!" "Mega Drain!" "Hydro Pump!" "AHAHAHAHA!" The three attacks collided with one another, pushing against one another. The Shadow Ball drew closer and closer towards the three of them as Sheena continued to draw energy from Haunter and Zelos continued to push the Shadow Ball back with his Hydro Pump. "HOW LONG CAN YOU KEEP THIS UP BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF ENERGY?!" The Haunter laughed. "Sunny Day!" Sheena shouted using a majority of her energy. "Solar Beam!" Using the remainder of her energy, she released the most powerful Solar Beam she could ever make. Combining the force of water and grass, the Hydro Pump and Solar Beam pushed harder and harder onto the Shadow Ball and reflected it back up into the air. The wall above Haunter collapsed in, dropping over him. "Quickly!" Zelos shouted, throwing Sheena an oran berry, then grabbing the girl. Sheena quickly felt her energy build back up within her. "Now!" Sheena nodded as she shined the explorer badge out into the open and with that, they left the dungeon and back to the guild.(( Note: Yeah...D; my first time doing this so yeah xD haha hopefully I didn't do as badly as I thought I did C: O yeah, Enjoy? xD ))
Back at the guild, after reporting their mission success the Aron who had posted the mission rushed to the palace. The one they rescued, a small female Aron, lit up the moment she saw the client and ran to the other steel type, crying. "Big brother, I was so scared!" She cried. The male Aron looked up at Sheena and Zelos with guilt, explaining that he had been exploring with his little sister when he got scared and ran for it, leaving the little girl behind. He didn't have the courage to mention that on the mission he posted. He handed the two of them the promised rewards, a Steel Claw TM and 500 PD. "Thank you so much for saving my sister! Please, can I join your team?" A familiar Ghastly popped up and out of the floor then, in front of the Aron, scowling. "Ignore him. I want to join." They could only choose one recruit... Rewards Metal Claw TM 500 PD
In addition, Zelos picked up a chunk of Silver metal while exploring the caves!
 & "I'm just glad you two are back together." Zelos smiled as he saw the two siblings hug each other out of pure happiness. Turning to Sheena, she gave him a nod basically saying it was his choice. He was the team leader and it's his choice on whether to take the Aron or the Gastly. "I guess we'll be taking Aron. Gastly you understand why right?" Sadly, the Gastly faded into the darkness. You could hear tears in the distance echoing as he went back to his home. "Aw...." "Just playing." The Gastly laughed as he reappeared behind Sheena, who screamed out of fright. "Maybe next time then. But next time, I'll defeat you in battle! Until then. The Gastly disappeared in mid-air. "Erm...alright, but yay!" The Aron cheered with his sister. "I can't wait to get started! O yeah, by the way my name is Kurogane."
Quote: Client: Loudred Mission: "UM... HELLO! I NEED SOME HELP... MAKING FRIENDS." Dungeon: Cave of Unknown Floors: 16 Rewards: Sneak Scarf + 2,000 PD // in the team room
Zephyr had returned from the board with a mission attached to his right scythe. Well, it was stabbed through it. Hopefully it was still readable. Gypsy, who was lying and her back and had been playing with a cloth she found inside a chest jumped up, the purple fabric in her mouth. Zephyr frowned. ”Where’s Echo?” He said, looking around as he struggled to remove the mission from his arm. The Ditto was supposed to be watching over the kid Vulpix to make sure she didn’t do stuff like this- going through their stuff, eating all their food, or turning all their possessions into charcoal.
Gypsy spat out the Reaper Cloth loudly, the fabric settling on Zephyr’s foot. ”I’m not her babysitter!“ She pouted, and then went back to messing around with their stuff. The Scyther didn’t even have time to respond with a rude rebuttal, because he finally got the mission off… in three pieces.
”Jesus Christ these scythes are so degrading! I cannot wait until I can evolve and have something other than these humiliating, unwieldy sharp objects for limbs!” Zephyr let out his frustration onto the small Vulpix, and gave her and angry look, one equal a mother extremely upset with a child. Gypsy yawned, unaffected by Zephyr’s anger towards her. She pranced over to the nightstand and lifted up a piece of paper.
She pouted. ”Quit whining, ya big baby!” She said, holding it up with a paw and blowing on it to send it over to Zephyr, because she was apparently too lazy to walk it over to him. ”Echo said to give it to you as soon as you got here, but I forgot.” She let out a high-pitched giggle, and bounced on the bed.
”At least we get to go on some mission.” He mumbled as he read the letter on the ground.
DEAR GUILDS… MY NAME IS VEGAS. UM, HELLO! I NEED SOME HELP… MAKING FRIENDS. IF YOU COULD PLEASE COME TO THE CAVE OF UNKNOWN, MY HOME, AND ASSIST ME, I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IT. I JUST NEED ONE FRIEND. THEY DON’T EVEN HAVE TO BE PRETTY. THEY JUST HAVE TO LIKE ME. THANK YOU.”
Zephyr groaned. It was just like Echo to accept a pity mission. There was a little note attached to it, with the team leader’s familiar cursive: “I’ll be waiting for you at the cave. If I don’t see you within an hour, I will be attempting it on my own. I hope I see you there.” Pfft. Well that was enough for Zephyr. He wasn’t going. He jumped onto the bed and closed his eyes. The R&R time didn’t last long, as Gypsy pounced on his stomach and started jumping.
”Why aren’t you goinggg!? You’re just going to leave Echo there waiting! Ouch, that’s like asking for a high five and being dolphined… by the other person.” She continued her jumping until Zephyr grumbled an insult and got up, power walking towards the door, while the Vulpix cheered him on.
// in the cave of unknown
“So… who was the one that decided this was a good idea?” A gray Scyther pondered, looking down into a deep hole in the ground. He minded his step as he tread around it, making sure that the earth would remain stable under his body. He didn’t weigh much and could easily fly out, but why cause an unnecessary disturbance in the habitat of many Pokemon? He sure didn’t want a random Pokemon coming into his home and wrecking the place.
Crack! Rumble, rumble. The Scyther froze in place as a rock from above barreled towards his head. Echo, his companion for this trip quickly turned her head with the speed of lightning and hit the rock away so it landed just feet away. Zephyr looked down sheepishly and coughed. He couldn’t believe that he was just saved by Echo! After spending so much time around Gypsy, he forgot that anyone had the capabilities to save him. ”Um, thank you.”
The orange Treecko nodded in acknowledgment of his thanks and moved forward. Zephyr was right behind her, his eyes on a piece of paper.
”Says here that it’s basically at the bottom of this place. But we have to find a… Loudred somewhere along the way? And get him some friends. How niiice.” He said sarcastically. When he thought of mission, he thought of killing bad guys to rescue someone. Not trying to get an awkward Pokemon some friends.
Echo nodded again. Zephyr sighed. He was getting more used to not getting a response but that didn’t mean it was any less annoying. He stopped, and the Treecko turned around in concern. ”Why don’t you talk?” He said softly as he begun walking forward again. ”I usually don’t have a problem with it, but people like to hear responses when they ask or say something. I’m not really any different.”
Echo hung her head in guilt. She knew she’s been quiet her whole life, but her motives have never been questioned. It wasn’t like she was anti-social; it was just she never had anything good to say. When she did… that’s when she speaks. ”Silence will never hurt anyone.”
”Silence is only sometimes the answer. I don’t know anyone besides you who is afraid of talking.” Zephyr’s voice began to get louder now. He got angry easily and this was no exception.
”Saying nothing sometimes says the most.” Echo said, before swiftly retrieving the mission from Zephyr and putting it in the folds of her enormous scarf. It looked a bit silly on her, since Zephyr had picked it up for her and he doesn’t know how to shop, plus she’s small for her species, but for the life of her she would not take it off. Zephyr adjusted his own band as he thought of it. I guess it was okay. Maybe. It didn’t look so bad next to the bag with all their stuff for the mission in it.
The gray Scyther followed Echo down a narrow passageway. ”You know, at least when you’re talking you could give straight answers. My brother was good at that… never giving a straight answer. Always finding some way to weasel the way out of a question. I don’t want you to remind me of him, Echo. I don’t want anyone to. I thought you always gave the straightest answer possible. Don’t go changing on me when everything else is.” He raised his arms up near his face and furrowed his eyebrows together in frustration, before taking off in front of Echo.
Zephyr climbed down a small branch of the cave, resting on ledges, his wings vibrating to glide to the next one. Echo jumped down, her scarf fluttering in the wind and carrying her off safely to the ground like a flying squirrel. It was pretty cute, actually.
As they reached a certain point down the cave, a Koffing and a Shuppet. blocked the way, but seemed friendly. A little bit too friendly… Did each other’s ghostly gas have an effect on each other?
”Excuse me. We were sent to find a Loudred, do you happen to have any idea where he or she is? It’s assumed that he or she is… anti-social.” Zephyr said politely as Echo landed silently by his side.
”So you’re here for Vegas, eh? He told us he posted a mission in that… er… Guild of the Sun wazzit? I didn’t believe that someone would come help him this quickly.” The Koffing exclaimed, lifting his body to look both the Scyther and Treecko over. ”I’m not sure you two ‘re ready for that responsibility though. Right Nyte?” He frowned in the only way a Koffing can, and turned to his partner Shuppet.
Zephyr sighed. He was tired of stupid people ruining what he set out to do. This is why he left home so long ago. To get away from stupid people. ”Look, do you want our help or not? I’m perfectly fine with leaving and never coming back. You’ll have to send another request for help to the guild though.”
Shuppet looked at his partner Koffing. ”Weeeell, I think they can help ‘im, Crypto. They seem like able-bodied Pokemon. At least this lad is.” He chuckled heartily and lightly rammed himself into Zephyr’s leg to test him. As always, the Scyther remained strong. The Shuppet chucked again as he received a harsh stare from Zephyr. ” I like this boyo here, Crypto. Let them help us. I’m sure Vegas is not picky about who takes care of his problem. He’s unfit for much of the Pokemon here, I tell you, and needs to be rid of as soon as possible.” He looked up to the ceiling in thought. ”But wait! I still want to make sure you won’t get demolished out there, deeper in the cave. Vegas needs someone strong to rely on. Want a little practice on two old geezers like us?”
Zephyr blinked a few times in shock of the sudden change of tone, but politely declined. They couldn’t possibly have to prove themselves to two old folk, would they? ”I think we’re going to be alright… Er, Nyte, was it? Now if you’ll please allow us to pass…” Zephyr began walking before the Shuppet flew in front of his face.
”No, no! I insist!” Nyte paused slightly before shooting out a puff of smoke at Zephyr’s face and running away after the Koffing laughing maniacally. ”Catch us if you can, suckas!”
Echo and Zephyr ran off to chase the Pokemon. Zephyr nodded to Echo and they split, himself tracking down Nyte and Echo Crypto. Unfortunately for them, they became easily tired and stopped only a few meters away from the initial waiting point. ”I guess there will be no who-ha chasing involved. Let’s do this!”
Nyte started off with a Night Shade, a black beam firing out at Zephyr and Echo. It was quickly dodged, as the old Pokemon was still out of breath from the sprint. Echo started off the offense from their team with a Giga Drain towards the Koffing. She felt sort of bad that such an old man was already wheezing from a few feet or running and she was sucking more of the life out of him. But they needed to finish the mission, and it couldn’t be completed without these two being defeated. It didn’t help her conscious though.
”Nooo! Old buddy!” Nyte howled into the cavern, looking desperately for a way to help his friend. Zephyr then took this as a chance to attack, first blocking the only way to his friend and made an X figure with his scythes, then pushing a sharp ‘X’ shape towards the Shuppet as he flew around in a panic. He didn’t understand why the Shuppet didn’t just fly past him since it was a ghost-type, but it was better for him.
From the other side of the large cave, Crypto was attempting to fog the place up. It burned Echo’s eyes and nose, but she still could see fine. She didn’t really need to see anyways, as the Koffing kept crying out, ”I’m still here, friend! Don’t give up!” and other encouraging phrases to Nyte. The Koffing was moving pretty fast and quickly filled the area with thick smog that made it hard to breathe properly. At any sound of his voice, Echo quick attacked the sound, and got in a couple hits because he was so concerned for Nyte.
By now the smog diffused into the chamber that Zephyr and Nyte were in. Of course, the Shuppet couldn’t breathe, but Zephyr sure could. He tried any of his moves that he hoped would get rid of it. Vacuum Wave, Wing Attack, and Air Slash did nothing but hurt the poor Shuppet, but as soon as he let loose a Razor Wind, the entire cave was swept of the smoke. It even had the added bonus of blowing away both the opponent Pokemon. Echo somehow managed to hang on to a rock, but the sharp wind still hurt her a bit. She wiped away a bit of dirt from her face and met up with Zephyr.
”Sorry… Uh, I couldn’t breathe.” He tried explaining, but it was more of an excuse because the smoke just annoyed him. Echo waved it off like it was nothing. He looked a bit confused. A swirly-eyed Koffing and Shuppet in the corner both had little scratches on their face and body, but Echo was fine, even though she had gotten hit just as much as Crypto and Nyte did. He decided not to pay too much attention to it, and sat down next to the two old Pokemon and set down a couple of Oran Berries for them to eat. They made a happy sound and started digging in.
-
The Koffing sighed and shook his body side to side as sort of a pity nod. ”I guess if you think they’re fit to go deeper into the cave, Crypto, I think they are too.” Both of their eyes lit up and Nyte launched himself onto Crypto’s outer shell and they had snuggle time. ”Vegas should be right through here, staring into the wall.”
Well, this was slowly getting more awkward. ”Well thank you, I guess.” He said, creeping past the two before it go any weirder. Good thing they could use their badge to get out, and wouldn’t have to pass those old geezers again. Echo smiled. She kind of liked the two old Pokemon.
The two Pokemon approached the Loudred, who was sitting in the corner clutching his ears. The slightest movement of Zephyr’s feet caused him to whip his head around and yell. ”ARE YOU FROM A GUILD HERE TO HELP ME WITH MY SOCIAL SKILLS?” He looked extremely eager.
Zephyr winced as the Loudred blasted out the speech. ”I know you’re a Loudred and all, and are famous for being loud,” The Scyther paused and Vegas stood proud. ”But have you ever considered quieting down a bit?”
He looked confused. ”WHAT? I’M NOT YELLING! IS THAT WHAT YOU SAID? I’M A LITTLE HARD OF HEARING!” It was probably from shouting so much. Zephyr nodded, and Vegas grinned widely before latching himself onto Zephyr’s leg, even though they were relatively the same size. He looked up into Zephyr’s eyes with a puppy-dog face. ”ARE YOU GOING TO BE MY FRIENDS?”
The Scyther shook his head. He was glad they weren’t going to be friends. Pokemon like this made him thankful for Echo. ”Sorry. We have to leave after this. We need to find you some permanent friends, and apparently those guys out there don’t like you, so we’ll have to go deeper into the cave.” Not that there was any there, but they had to try…
The Loudred nodded at first, but paused to think. ”WHAT?” This was hopeless. Zephyr facepalmed, and ended up just walking forward with Vegas still attached to his leg. He would be going with them whether they liked it or not.
The cave got colder and colder as they walked along. Vegas skipped happily near Zephyr while Echo scouted the area ahead for any signs of lonely Pokemon. They had no such luck.
”Welp, that’s that. We can’t find you any friends. I guess mission failed, sorry.” Zephyr awkwardly patted Vegas on the head and he started bawling, and LOUDLY. But, both members of Team Altitude were tired and hungry, and just wanted to go home. It was a shame that the first mission was failed.
A small black figure floated slowly over to Vegas and landed on his head. It was shaped like a Y. ”Unown.” Echo commented.
”Why yes, I am. A proud Unown of the Noire clan. My name is Y. I heard this Pokemon crying… Why is it crying?” The Y-shaped Pokemon commented, communicating through mind.
Vegas sniffled, and pointed to Zephyr. ”HE TOLD ME THAT I CAN’T FIND FRIENDS.” Although Vegas was somewhat deaf, though normal Loudred had near perfect hearing, he could immediately understand anything that Y was putting through their minds. Apparently he heard Zephyr’s comment too. Y’s eye grew wide and he immediately turned to the Scyther and started rising up into the air.
”You made this Pokemon cry? Don’t worry, poor Pokemon. We will be your friends. As for you, Scyther, you are a mean, mean, Pokemon. Prepare to pay!” Y’s eye glowed and from the darkness of the deep end of the cave, many other eyes glowed. The green circles came forward and surrounded Zephyr. There were F’s, R’s, T’s… every letter of the alphabet came forward to stare at Zephyr. He could barely utter a syllable before the entire alphabet started to spam Hidden Powers at him. Luckily only the quick letters could get Hidden Powers in before Echo came in with a Detect. She couldn’t hold all the attacks off for long and Zephyr dragged her out of the beams towards safety.
Vegas watched intently, smiling the entire way. His new friends were beating his old friend up for him! How exciting to watch! As the Unown moved to follow their gray target, their beams grew unsteady and began to go everywhere, ricocheting of the cave walls to their allies, enemies, and new friend. While Echo tried to distract them with a weak Energy Ball, Zephyr was for the first time quick enough to realize that Vegas was in trouble. The Loudred had a dopey look on his face the entire time, even when the beams grew close. As one nearly hit him, Zephyr took the attack for himself. It didn’t hurt much, and he didn’t want any more crying from the kid. He took a few Hidden Powers all over his body before the attacks stopped.
He stood there; breathing heavily, ready to attack all who tried to fire at him. The Unown floated in the air, probably conversing with one another through their intricate minds. They surrounded Zephyr and Vegas, only to throw the Scyther away and carry Vegas through the air while he chuckled merrily at his new friends.
Zephyr relaxed, letting his defensive position slump down into a tired, half-alert stance, as he turned to Echo. ”Whether that is enough for him, let’s just go home.” Echo smiled and nodded, waving goodbye to the Unown who had come and gone so suddenly. She wished she could spend more time with them and learn their habits.
”Wait!” A Q made it’s way from the crowd of busy Unown, with what looked like an Oran Berry floating next to it. ”This is the first time a rescue team’s came down here for a long, long time. Many years ago one appeared and saved us from a Weezing. Now all rescue teams inspire me. I meant to give this food to the next one who came by, but alas you are the first ones to do so in some time. Thank you very much for all you have done.” He set down the berry timidly and raced off to join the jubilance of the others.
Echo picked up the Oran Berry. It had long gone rotten and moldy, and was basically just a pit now. But the Ditto-Treecko accepted it all the same. She switched the Oran Berry with the rescue badge in the bag, and raised it up. ”Let’s go home, Zephyr.”
When the pair returned to the guild, they would find the reward already prepared. It had been safely resting with the Guild of the Sun, simply waiting for someone to succeed and claim it.
Later on, the team would be met by a certain Unown and two old men looking to join the team. From what they said, Vegas was extremely happy with his new friends.
((Sorry for sort of a lazy grading... kind of tired/distracted at the moment!
 - Echo - - Zephyr - As soon as they arrived back at the guild, they claimed their rewards from the guild, then Zephyr grumbled something about teleportation and ungrateful Loudred and headed off to the team room. When he arrived, though, there were many Pokemon in the room chatting with Aryll, who looked sort of uneasy as the pair of old men from the cave bombarded her with questions, and the Unown 'Q' floated casually in the air. She rushed towards the two hurriedly, begging them to take over the situation.
"Er, guys? What are you doing here?" Zephyr asked, slightly confused. It was one thing to have a legendary randomly popping up in the room, but it was completely different to have two old men and an Unown from a far away place come here after only having a meeting once.
Crypto laughed, and expelled gas as he did so. "I think I can speak for all of us when I say we're here to join your team." He did shot a violent stare towards the Unown. He would not be on the same team as that guy.
"Well..." He looked to Echo, who already had her head in a book. Sighing, he continued. "The team is already growing too fast for me to be mentally capable of handling, so if we did accept any of you, it'd have to be just one person. And I'm sure that rules you two out, does it not?" Zephyr pointed at Crypto and Nyte, who's faces fell at the news. They nodded solemly and made the long trek back to the cave.
The Unown grew panicked. "P-please, I must join. I disobeyed many rules of the clan coming here, but I was just so inspired by your bravery that I just had to." Q pleaded. "I can fit many roles and personalities, I'm just overall very qualifi-"
"Please join us." Echo said with a smile to Q. Zephyr at first stood stunned. After Aryll joined, they all agreed not to have any more recruits for a while. But I guess since Q couldn't go back home and all, and it was their fault, he could stay. The Scyther eventually nodded as well, and showed Q around the team room.
