question What are Elemental Stones? question

An Elemental Stone is a rare, crystal-like ore that is imbued with a power of a specific Elemental. They glow with the color of that Elemental and come in all shapes and sizes, and of varrying purity. In the hands of a Gaian, they give off the power of their Elemental and can do so for as long as they have power stored within them.

question How are Elemental Stones Created? question

Elemental stones are created by Elemental Summonings, also called Elemental Awakenings. The sudden influx of Elemental energy in the area around the Summoner causes the area around him/her to crystalize into Elemental stone. The area directly underneath the Summoner and Elemental is there area where the stones of the highest 'purity' are created, and thus can contain greater amounts of power as it is complete Elemental Stone. The farther away you get from the Ground 0 of the summoning, the more impurites the stone contains, impurities being things that the stone once was (ie: a rock, a leaf, a house, a pot).

All inanimate objects are turned to Elemental Stone when an Elemental is summoned, and so when mining companies enter an area of Elemental Stone and begin mining, the end result is a massive gaping hole, that goes down about 50-75 feet. Not all summoned areas are allowed to be mined, however. Each Nation controls the land in which the summonings occured upon, and contracts must be drawn out before such activites can begin.

question What can Elemental Stones do? question

All Elemental Stones control the power of their specific Elemental. They cannot control any other Elemental, and they also have a limited amount of power stored within each one.

The most typical use for Elemental stones is crafting them into objects such as armor or weapons. Using the stones to cast spells is difficult if one is not a mage - but is still possible if one can control the raw elemental power.

Spells can be cast from the stones up to a certain level, and anyone can use them - mage or not. This is what makes them so extremely valuable and rare. From starting small cooking fires without flint or matches, to healing wounds or turning the ground; to saving lives and taking them. That is what the stones can do if one is strong enough to control its energy.

Once their power is gone, however, they are useless. A mage trained in recharging Elemental Stones must embue more power inside the Stone if one wants to reuse them.

idea Fire Elemental Stones idea

The Fire Elemental is the Strongest 'Natural' Elemental out of the 4. Second only to Light and Dark, it's strength is due to the ferocity of the Fire Bloodline and the lack of members it lost in the wars in comparison to the other Bloodlines.

The Fire Elemental has been summoned numerous times in Gaian History, but only on the Gaian Isles.

The Earth Elemental is the Weakest Elemental at the moment. With the amount of Bloodline Members that were lost in the Age of Elementals, the Spirit's connection to Gaia is held only by the handful of Bloodline members.

The practitioners of Earth Magic have felt this weakening on their powers and, if they are inclined to continue their Magical pursits, are adamant for the finding and protecting of the remaining Bloodline members. Some have suggested to go so far to force procreation between the bloodlines inorder to strengthen the Elemental's magic, but thankfully the Bloodline members are hidden safely within the disputed territory of the Gaian mainland.

This weakening of the Earth Elemental has created a strong demand in Earth Elemental Stones.
