Mal'rak shivered slightly as he made his way through the less crowded side streets, his mark clearly in his sight. He couldn't help wishing that his damn mark hadn't made him travel from all the way into the frigid icy city of Menzoberranzan. He had always disliked the cold..and it didn't help that he had trouble getting warm. Hopefully his mark was the same way, since the both of them were natives from the much warmer city of Llurth Dreir.

Well, that's what Mal suspected. He really didn't know what city he was born in or where he grew up. He had moved a lot. And he had never stayed with one family either. Not that he really cared to think back on those times. They really weren't the best of memories to dwell on.

Mal'rak perked up when his mark headed towards a public bath house. YES! This was perfect! A public place..and a chance to warm his cold body. Mal thanked the gods for his fortune, making sure to pray to each of them so none of them would be offended should he leave one out. It was a practice he always followed every day; just to make sure he wasn't on their bad side.

Mal'rak waited a good ten minutes before slowly ambling through the same door into the warm bath house. An attendant came over and handed him a warm soft silk robe and escorted him to a curtained area where he could disrobe privately. Mal'rak didn't really see the whole purpose of disrobing in private if he was going to be bathing with the same people one always saw more than he bargained for in a public bath house anyways. Well..Mal'rak chuckled to himself, he never had a problem with anything HE saw. The body was a beautiful thing..and male or female Mal found them all beautiful and enticing. He just hoped the bathhouse wasn't too busy at this time.

Mal slipped out of his clothing, wrapped them up in his cloak and then pulled the silk robe around him; basking in the softness of it on his skin. Oh..now this he could get used to! He smiled happily to himself and thrust the curtain aside and strode out, his clothing and cloak in his hands. An attendant rushed over to try and take them from him. Mal just frowned and held on to the pile of clothes.

"I'll just keep these with me." he said, with a pointed glare at the shorter male.

The male merely smiled and ushered Mal'rak into the huge room that housed the heated bathwater. Wafts of steam rose off of the water..instantly warming Mal'rak where he stood. Gods..this was a blessed place indeed! There was only one other male in the bath besides his mark, the gods were surely smiling down on him in favor this day!
Mal'rak placed his bundle under a bench a few feet away from the steaming water, pulled the silk robe off and slowly lowered himself into the steamy hot water.

"Ahhhh!" Mal'rak moaned in delight. It wasn't until he was better settled in the water did he notice just how gorgeous the other male was. "Why hello gorgeous." Mal'rak murmured under his breath, shooting a very appreciative glance towards the other male.

Sorn had managed to earn the right to come to the bathhouse and relax. He rarely had the chance to go out and have some time to himself. Instead he spent most of his days slaving away for his mother and sisters. He hated it but it was the rules of society and things were the way they were. Nothing was going to change that.

He walked in and the steam began to relax him. He loved the heat that emanated from this place. It was very soothing and it healed any aches he may have had accumulated during the week. Sometimes his sister and mother were very merciless and it seemed almost everything was a mistake. He changed out of his robes privately and he was thankful for this. His family had made him very self conscious and being naked meant a good whipping was on the way. At least his mind used that correlation. He was sure about others.

He stepped into the bathwater and sunk in. He smiled for the first time in a long time. There were no crazy sisters and no angry mother to tell him what to do right now. He was loving every minute of the warm bath. He was also alone which was real nice but a few moments passed and a he saw an attractive male enter the bathhouse. He was very pleasant to look at and when he came out and slipped into the bath he began to speak to him. He gave the other male a smile when he called him gorgeous. At first he wasn't sure what to say but finally the words came out. " Why thank you. I've never heard anyone call me gorgeous before."

Though it didn't appear so, Mal'rak kept an eye on his mark, even while he was staring at the other male in utter disbelief.
"Are you serious? How could no one notice? I mean..gods..you are damn fine!' Mal'rak whispered back, with a flutter of his eyelashes.

Mal sighed and shook his head, floating through the water so he was closer to the gorgeous male. The short feathery silver tinted white hair framed a set of bright blue eyes. Mal always loved different colored eyes. Red ones tended to bore him after awhile.

"So then..are you visiting Menzo or do you reside here?" Mal'rak asked twirling a finger through the water almost absent mindedly.

His mark looked as though he had fallen asleep in the hot water. It would have been a perfect time for Mal'rak to go through the other's belongings, but now Mal'rak was too absorbed in finding out more about the other male in the bath. Perhaps he'd be able to warm the blue eyed beauty up a bit so that he'd reveal his name to him. Now that was a challenge Mal was up to!

Sorn couldn't help but blush at how surprised Mal was that no one had ever complimented him before. It was true. His family had never told him he was beautiful or that he was worth anything other than being their slave. He was lucky to even come here.

The other male inched closer to him and Sorn didn't feel uncomfortable for once in his life, even if this was new to him. He asked him he lived here. Unfortunately, for him he did. " Yes, I do live here," he answerwed shyly. He actually hated this place. It only reminded him that he was stuck here. He wanted to go somewhere else. Alas, he was stuck here in this frozen wasteland. It seemed a wasteland, anyway.

Mal'rak had never known a male could blush or that it could turn him on so much. Where had this male been hiding all his life? The high cheeks, fine nose and bright eyes would certainly cause females to pursue him even throw themselves at the fellow. And any hot blooded male, who like Mal, had a preference for a beauty like Sorn would jump at the chance to escort him anywhere.

It must be this family of his, that kept him hidden away and serving their every whim to the level of dogged slavery. Mal thanked the gods yet again for having separated him from his family. Who knew what debauchery he had avoided by being raised by hoodlums and the old spy who had helped him hone his skills. He couldn't help but want to help the fellow out a bit, even if it was to show him a good time.

"Ah.." Mal'rak murmured with a click of his tongue. "So your family is one of the old school ones then? They keep you slaving away for them and hidden from the sight of the public for the most part? Tis a sad fate. Especially living in this frigid dung heap of a city. Tell me..how do you manage to keep warm? I've been shaking and shivering from the cold since I arrived here. I came up from Llurth Dreir. Now that's a city! Nice and boiling warm! there's no chance of getting a cold there."

" My family is very old fashioned. The male does all the work and if I mess up I get beaten, as is tradition," Sorn replied with a shy blush. He couldn't stop blushing around this male. He had never done this before but then again he never got the the chance to roam around and meet new people. This was the the first time in ages someone had talked to him outside of his family.

The other male went on about his warm city. The place sounded nice, the way he talked about the heat and the coziness. Curiousity struck him and he realized he didn't introduce himself and neither did the other male. " You don't have to tell me this if you don't want to but what is your name? My name is Sorn and I was really curious about yours." He did his best to keep his blush invisible but failed.

He really had no experience in dealing with people. His family forbid him to talk to most people. They told him that he was stupid and he would embarass the whole family if he talked. He couldn't help it now though, someone interesting was talking to him. The drow was interested in him as well and he liked it.

The more the other spoke, the more Mal felt himself drawn to him. he had a beautiful tone of voice. It was rather sad that one rarely ever got to hear it. What a family of vipers this fellow had! Mal had the itch to do something to them..but decided it would be better to leave matters as they were. Well..at least until he had studied the family's habits and tactics..and then perhaps he could come up with a plan to help his new found love interest out.

Crap. He groaned inwardly..he was already falling for this pretty face. What had his old master taught him? Never get interested in an individual that would rely on you. And there was the whole statement of; Not putting oneself into a situation without proper insight. Well..it seemed that that was what Mal was doing already. Give him a pretty face, a killer bod and Mal would kill for the fellow. He really needed to learn to get rid of this need to "rescue" every pretty male he encountered; that was all there was to it.

Mal couldn't help but smile at the other's blush and obvious curiousity at what his name was.

"Call me Mal'rak." He replied, with a flirtatious wink.

He swept his gaze quickly over to his mark, and saw that he was still slumbering in the warm water snoring loudly enough to wake the dead. Mal snickered and nodded his head over at the sleeping male.
"He sounds like a bug-a-bear drowning in a draught, don't you think?"

Sorn smiled back at the other drow. He had a feeling that this Mal'rak was flirting with him but he knew that it innocent. Not very many were interested in him, then again he never went out much. His family pretty much killed his self esteem. " M-my name is Sorn," he dared not to say which House he was from in case it backfired on him.

Mal'rak pointed out the drow that was snoring loudly and Sorn couldn't help but giggle. " Yes he does. He comes here quite a bit and it is common for him to fall asleep. His snoring is rather disturbing." Sorn gave Mal another warm smile, not knowing that he was flirting as well. He turned around to see that more drow were starting to come in and he became nervous being around such a growing crowd.

Mal'rak was transfixed at the sudden change to Sorn's face when he smiled. by the gods..how could this fellow not know how beautiful he was at that moment. Mal'rak edged slightly closer and laid an arm across the back of the tub, letting his fingers fall a few inches away from Sorn's hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Sorn!" he replied warmly, very much enthusiastic about getting to know the fellow.

Even the giggle from Sorn's mouth lightened Mal's insides and that was when he knew he was lost. Lost and fully charmed by the other's obvious oblivious knowledge of how turned on Mal was becoming. It was always the innocent ones that tended to turn him on even more.
"Is it now? Hmm..I wonder if he would care for a rude awakening?" he asked, giving Sorn a wink of conspiracy.

Of course...it wasn't the sleeping drow that got a slap of reality..it was Mal who did. When the bath house started to get busier he cursed his luck..and his memory for eluding him. He eyed the growing crowd with growing disdain..and then shot another glance at Sorn. Perhaps the whole thing wasn't a complete waste of time after all.

"How about..we find somewhere more private to continue our conversation, Sorn? Unless you have more pressing matters of course." Mal'rak pulled himself from the water, grabbed a nearby towel and wrapped it around his waste. Then he meandered over to his belongings and gathered them up, he forced himself to delay his actions so that Sorn could have enough time to make up his mind.

Sorn blushed when the other drow asked him if they could go some other place. He watched as the bath house gained an even larger crowd and he nodded. " Yes, pretty soon we won't be able to hear each other talk and I have no where to go for a while." His blush eased as Mal'rak moved away from him and Sorn got up to follow, quickly wrapping the towel around his waist before Mal could see anything and walked to the changing room to get his clothes on. The loud chattering outside the room was making him a bit nervous, he was scared that his Matron would come after him before he had a chance to hang out with Mal some more.

Mal'rak watched his mark out of the corner of his eye as the male woke up from the obnoxious laughter of the new crowd, Mal'rak couldn't help but snort at the displeased look on the mark's face. At the same time he couldn't help but feel pleased when Sorn replied.

"That's true," Mal replied a bit loudly so Sorn could hear him over the loud voices of the others, draping his arm over the other's and drawing him slightly closer. "we wouldn't want those blokes speaking over us or anything, how about we find somewhere more to our liking?"

The mark turned to stare at them, causing Mal to flick his gaze onto Sorn as if waiting intently for the other's reply. Mal'rak was relieved when the mark rolled his eyes, gathered up his belongings and headed for the changing room without giving him another thought. Now..hopefully the mark would head somewhere that Mal could spend time with Sorn and keep an eye on the mark as well.

If not..well then Mal would have to let Sorn down gently so he could pursue the mark and keep tabs on him. He wasn't about to lose his commission for not completing a job. In his line of work as a spy, that just wasn't done. He'd lose his perfectly good reputation with those he provided his services too. And that would not do.

Mal'rak followed Sorn into the changing room quietly and quickly dressed and then waited patiently outside for Sorn to join him. The mark emerged from his dressing room and ambled towards him, brushing against him brusquely, casting a slightly wary glance over his shoulder at Mal'rak. Mal ignored him, tapping his foot as though he were impatiently waiting for Sorn.

Sorn buttoned the last button of his shirt and once he was fully dressed he walked out of the room. A smile appeared on his face when he saw that Mal'rak was outside waiting for him. He was afraid that the drow was pulling his leg and was only looking for a good flirt. He was very grateful that Mal'rak really wanted to hang out with him. The only people he knew were his family and they kept him pretty isolated. It was nice to meet someone different. He was very different now that Sorn thought about it.

" I'm ready now. Where would you like to go. I'd love to go far away from here but I'm sure my mother will come looking for me. I'd hate to have to put up with her wrath." Sorn's blush appeared again as he confessed how scared he was of his mother. It would be most embarassing if she showed up in front of someone as wonderful as Mal. Sorn smiled again, " We can go for a walk right now if you wish."

Mal'rak's face broke out in a wide grin when Sorn emerged from the changing room. Lord..even dressed Sorn was a knock out beaut! It was surprising that Sorn had no clue what his looks were doing to Mal'rak's insides. If he wasn't in the middle of a job, he would have lingered over Sorn long enough to entice him into a conquest. A conquest both of them would have found very pleasing.

He couldn't help but feel a flutter of concern over Sorn's obvious fear of his Matron. He tried to keep the concern from his face, as he slipped an arm around Sorn's waist and pulled him towards the front door. "While a walk does sound appealing..walking around in just dismal streets doesn't. A short walk to a restaurant perhaps?"

Mal pulled his arm from Sorn's waist as they exited the bath house, knowing it would be better to not show any affection for the other in public. Probably smart, as if drow did show outward signs of affection in the streets their lovers were more likely to meet a sad end. All the intrigues within drow society would use any means to get to one of their enemies.

Mal'rak spotted his mark entering one of his familiar haunts and Mal slowed to a leisurely walk towards the public restaurant. "Perhaps..here? I hear that the food is quite good...and their drinks are much better quality than most."
PostPosted: Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:29 am

Sorn watched as Mal's grin widened. He knew next to nothing about this drow but that is what this walk would be for. His recurring blush happened upon his face again as Mal'rak wound his arm around Sorn's waist. He stifled a nervous giggle as Mal asked him if going to a restaurant would be nice. He loved that idea! It had been so long since he had decent food and he had never had food served to him, he always had to cook for himself and for his matron and sisters.

"Yes, a restaurant would be lovely," he frowned a bit as they began to go across the street. " I've actually never been to one. I cook for myself and my sisters and then I served them the food. I even eat after they have eaten. Its one of their rules." He didn't know why he was pouring his heart out to Mal. For all he knew, Mal could be working for his mother and this was all a set up to catch Sorn misbehaving. He tried not to look so nervous but now that his thoughts began to race, he couldn't help it.

Mal'rak could sense how nervous and out of place Sorn was feeling when they neared the restaurant. He was rather surprised to hear how Sorn was being treated by his family. It seemed strange to him, but perhaps that was what was done when a family was lowly and didn't have servants to serve them. Yet by the looks of Sorn's clothing..one would never think he was of a low house.

"Sorn..just how many of them are there in your family? And why do they not employ slaves and servants to serve them? Do they like to treat one of their noble blood in such a manner simply because they can? Why do you let them treat you in such a way?" Mal asked, rather curious to how the family dynamics worked.

They entered the restaurant side by side, though Mal'rak was one step faster and opened the door for Sorn to enter. "Please," He said with a slight bow and a flirty wink of an eyebrow. "beauty first."
