Hey, that title just came out of no where. But, I believe that this little post topic would be lovely in this area. 3nodding After all, there are writes who seem to be in a runt...or whatever that word is... and always seem to look as if they are searching for help.

Ya know...help as in.. My friend wants me to write her a story, but I don't know what I should right about... - Well, ask him/her. That way, you would have an inkling on what to write.

Or, I want to make a story, but I have no clue on what to even write about for it's for my friends including me... - Write what you feel within your soul. If they are your friends, then they would like to see what you have written, they can even help you out. After all, it is you who is writing.

Anyhoo! Those were questions that have popped into my head. But there are times when I am lost and look towards others/friends to help me out.

So, if you have any questions, we(as in the clan) will try to help you out. But please try to remember, we are just helping. There will be no need to get all defensive about a suggestion, telling them that it's stupid. I tend to monitor posts a lot, and I (or any other mod) will/might warn you to either fix or delete it. That is one thing that I can not stand, so please, do not troll/flame others into hateful replies.

This post is here to help writers over come their writers block, whether it is role-playing or writing. Everyone needs a little help from time to time.

!Remember!
* Follow all rules (gaia and clan alike)
* This post topic should not be filled with hateful comebacks, so no trolling/flaming.
* Be mindful to one and another. In this topic, we are here to help, not to fight.
* Any mod has the right to change things a bit (but you will be warned if the subject contains hateful things towards another user).
* Everyone has their right to their own opinions, do not slaughter them if you do not like it.

ah suggestions... well one thing i have to say is if you tell someone that you have a character based off of them... be prepared in case they decide to object to that character doing something. and it could be as simple as what the character is wearing as well.

its happen to me. was writing a character for my fan-fic and it was based on one of my friends. well she had a major issue on how i was making the character act. (admittedly i made the character to be a bad guy... but she was fine with that) finally because she was wanting total control over the character i just took her out of the story to try and resolve the conflict (then i got into an argument about why i took her out.... stressed )

anyways... just be careful about putting your friends into story's. just let them know that while it's based off of them... its not them.. have them think of it as more of a namesake than anything.

Research also seems to help a bit as well.

Not to mention that there are words that people do not like to read. And with it being on the Internet, some words can lead to a verbal fight. Which, can drag others into it as well. Which also, is not a very good thing to happen, for it causes stress to certain people.

True, they may not like the word, and tell you that you could/should use a different word. They may think that they are helping, or are, but it's...I don't know, your story or something like it. Just because they say that so and so told a story, or it's a joke among the two of them, doesn't mean that you should change it.

It happens, and you, if you want to, should probably lay a disclaimer at the beginning stating that some words, acts, yadda yadda; may not be suitable for other readers.

Plus, disclaimers are good. Very good. You could be using books, songs, characters and many other things that do not belong to you. So, disclaimers and warnings are good to have. ninja

Quote and Edit shouold not be near each other. stare << >>

Ooo, I hate it when people do that. I write co-op with my best friend, and we help each other when we are stuck with my character, I write a bit with her character, but I let her have control of her own, as I control some other person that is near her.

But man, I would be,...Lay off, grab paper and hold it near. My story, I make the rules.... well not really. But I would just say, I started it, and this is how so and so should be. Not your way, but my way...so either take it my way or take the highway and leave. << >>

But still, people should not have to control of the character that you made. Not right.. neutral
