_”In a mind-numbing series of events by a yet unnamed terrorist organization, the United States as we know it has been all but destroyed. An unstoppable string of assassinations, bombings, and hijackings has obliterated the peace and order of the country, irreparably crippling the American government. In the past 24 hours, the President has been assassinated, the Vice President mortally wounded, and the Capitol building destroyed, and no survivors have been found. Down eleven spots in the Presidential succession list, prominent figures of our government continue to drop dead. People, order has been destroyed, there is little hope left…” Radio broadcast, January 2nd, 2036.

_”Citizens of this earth, of all nations, this time is our lowest. The loss of mere thousands of people has brought us to our knees. Even as we are, though, not all hope is lost. We are in a dark time, gangs seizing control, and civilized life grinding to a halt. Not all of these things happen bloodlessly. People will die, but their deaths can be channeled usefully. Stand up, and don’t lose hope. Right now, it is the only thing we have. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” Ori, Light and Voice of the People, Internet Broadcast, January 7th, 2036.

_In the year 2036, disaster struck. Government, and with it, peace and order, was destroyed in a matter of days by an unknown terrorist organization. The world’s most powerful country fell, the United States. The UK, China, Russia, India, and Japan were next. After that, smaller, less powerful countries began to fall, even after being alerted by the fall of others. Many were simply heavily bombed until little was left.

_Now, anarchy reigns, the people are panicking, and fear is the currency of the realm. Using the disorganization to their advantage, gangs have begun to take over cities, crime is running amok, and people are clinging to survival. Communications are failing; TV and radio stations have ceased to function. In order to keep the public informed, a man who calls himself Ori has taken to broadcasting over the internet, and has given himself the title of Light and Voice of the People. He keeps his face and true identity hidden…

_”Citizens of the world, do not panic. My name is Elymas, and I represent an organization known as Azrael. In the past month, we have entered a time of peril and anarchy, and I urge you to rally around us. We can offer protection, shelter, food, whatever you may need. Currently our reach is little, but I promise, soon we will be able to reach everyone. Again, I beg that when we reach your area, you will cooperate and help us restore order.” Elymas, Television Broadcast over all channels, February 12th, 2036

_”People of the world, a group has sprung from the ashes claiming to bring peace and food. Do not trust these people. Their name comes from the Angel of Death, Azriel. That is all that you will get if you fall to their temptations. In addition, their spokesman has the name of an evil sorcerer from the New Testament. He was a false prophet. Do not believe the prophesies spoken from his tainted lips. These people are a group rising from the ashes, but they are unlike a phoenix. First the gangs seizing control, now a group claiming to be our saviour. I believe them to be behind this attack that has destroyed our world.” Ori, Light and Voice of the People, February 13th, 2036

_After that, the internet was abuzz with minor activity, mostly people sharing their opinions on the recent events. However, the two most interesting sources, Ori and Elymas/Azrael went quiet. People began to take sides for or against Azrael, even before they arrived. Some still were so far away they didn’t worry about Azrael, and instead focused on getting the gangs out of power. In times as unstable as these, a single person's actions may tip the balance of power. Destroy the gangs, control the gangs. Fight Azrael, or aid their mission. Or maybe you just want to see how much worse off the world can get.

Character Name: Helena Marie Force
Position:New Leader of the Force gang
Age: 20
City of Residence: In the middle of Washington DC
Views on Azrael: Neither for or against, just trying to get by.
Personality: Helena is generally a pleasant person to be around, but when she is under stress she can be very mean.
Background: Her parents inherited there "business" from their parents. They started Helena's training when she was young, teaching her how to snipe and to use her head. But after the governments fall and another business that worked closely with her family's decided they wanted more power, they killed them off and it left Helena by herself and a handful of followers.
Job Beforehand: Assassin for her father's gang, but when things went sour, she took over the business.
Familial Position: Last survivor.
Appearance: Helena is 5'2, a hourglass figure. She has blond hair that is layered and just past her shoulder, but if the light catches it right there is purple in in. Her skin is pale and it isn't from lack of sunlight. She has bright green eyes. Also has a barcode tattoo across her stomach.

Character Name: Roi (Roy) Anson
Position: Self-Appointed Public Face of Ori
Age: 17, nearing 18
City of Residence: Washington DC
Views on Azrael: Distrusts them and will oppose them when they show their cowardly faces.
Personality: Speaks his mind, but this changes around his parents, he refuses to say anything to upset them. Spends most of his time outside of the house, pretending to be 21 year old, rallying people to Ori's cause and against the gangs. His brother knows and disapproves of this, his sister does not know. He’s spent the last month evaluating the damage and attempting eliminate the gangs.
Background: Roi comes from an extraordinarily wealthy family that is offering their home as a refuge, offering what the gangs falsely promise. However, his parents will not actively attempt to remove the gangs from power, and they plan on allowing Azriel the chance to mend the situation. Neither do they want their children to do anything against the gangs either.
Only a few days after the attacks, Roi was shot while assessing the city. The shot only grazed his arm, but it served as a caution, and Roi has carried a gun on him ever since. Roi has been fascinated by military technology since a young age, and with a combination of his parents’ wealth and his bright mind, has succeeded in creating comparable technologies.

Views on Azrael: Doesn't know about the situation
Personality: Scared easily, shy, can fight back well if she tried hard enough. Eliza is the kind of person who always gets herself hurt or into trouble. She can be very clumsy and is very fragile.
Background: Eliza ran away from her family because of all the yelling that she couldn't stand. Her father always hit her mother but Eliza was fed up and left the day he hit her. Eliza carries a 6.5 inch switch blade with her everywhere she goes.
Job Beforehand: Hidden in her father's(who was an assasin) house and a student
Familial Position: The only child her parent's had.
Appearance: Eliza is a bit small for her age. She was always the smallest of people she knew, usually a head shorter than an average girl her age. People always she thought she was strange because of her combination of blue eyes with violet flecks and black hair.

Personality: Silent and observant. She doesn't like to speak unless it's actually going to go somewhere. Despite coming off as a confident person, Athena is rather unsure of herself and prefers to stand alone in a corner instead of being the centre of attention.
Background: It is all pretty much of a blur to her. Life was never very interesting before the assassination of the President and the beginning of the world's fall. Taking the only significant step in her life, Athena joined the Force Gang a month ago and found that the life of a gang member is definitely all that it's cracked up to be.

Familial Position: Second-born child. Has an older brother (25) who disappeared when the terrorist bombings began.

Views on Azrael: Believes thier cause in helping the people.
Personality: Lucas is a cool headed guy and people mistake him as an easy person to read but infact he is an unpredictable person.
Background: Lucas joined the military right after high school at the young age of 17. After combat basic training he was transferred to special forces training...
4 years after his service in the military he returns states side to find a career worth retiring over instead of retiring early through "buying the farm"

Character Name: Magnolia Everly
Position: Passive Activist
Age: 20

Views on Azrael: She had no real way of taking time out to learn much about Azrael. Though she admires them for their beliefs matching her own, wishing to help the world when it's so wounded and hurt, she has trouble believing them because of the names they chose for themselves. Still, it seems almost too convienent that they would chose those names to hide behind. So she desires to someday meet those behind Azrael, so she may hope to acquire a higher knowledge of who they are and what they believe.
Personality: Magnolia has aged a great bit in her lifetime, but she hasn't aged alot. While she is still learning about who you can and can't trust, she has difficulty trusting completely. Constantly she is torn between her desire to save the world and her knowledge that it's a completely futile effort, sometimes swinging between being optimistic and darkly depressing. Though she has long desired human contact, she still highly enjoys flowers and will often get ost in thought when she sees birds or weeds growing up through cracks. Knowing what her previous outspokeness has done though, and believing it to be a reason for the bad things that happened, she speaks with a soft almost mousy voice.
Background: Magnolia was left behind by her mother on an old woman's doorstep. She lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. A life trapped in the mountains gave nothing as she aided her aging caretaker. When she died, Maggie left for the city she had seen in the distance. Nothing was ever determined, it all just sort of happened by accident. A gang all her own was established, aiding to the peace and prosperity she always hoped for the world, a tranquility she had seen in her mountains. It failed and she was shot down by one of her own and left for dead. Years of comatosis and she awoke to a world on the verge of going mad. She was hired by a seamstress, making prom, evening, and wedding dresses. When gangs burst in on the department store, she left behind that world and took off to learn more about the false prophets...Azreal.

▶ Personality: Tomboyish and adventurous. She has a keen sense of justice, and is fairly aggressive and brash in nature, as well as mischievous. She can be quiet and observant, and at other times she can be wild and reckless. She is constantly alert to what is going on around her, even if it doesn't seem that she is. She is also protective of what is important to her and those that are seriously being wronged (pranks are okay).

▶ Background:
Nyx was orphaned long before the terrorist attacks. When she was young, her parents were killed in the crossfires of a gang war. So even before the time of chaos, she felt very strongly against crime. So when the Attacks came, She knew that the world needed someone to protect it's streets. She then secretly became the vigilante known as "Nightmare": the reaper of the midnight streets; the haunter of the criminal's waking dreams.
In her daytime life, she stays with Roi and his family at their shelter, getting the food and rest she needs. She quickly befriended Roi, who also wanted something to be done about the rise of crime. She almost always accompanies him on his quests to raise more Ori supporters, acting as his bodyguard.

//Condition:
The first shot was heard in D.C., marking the beginning of the terrorist attacks that destroyed the government. Capitol Mall and the surrounding area, a location containing countless monuments and museums, the Capitol Building, and the White House, was largely destroyed by bombs and attacks. In contrast to the wasteland that was once the Capitol Mall, the rest of D.C. was left surprisingly unmarked initially, although gang violence and lack of resource has caused it to fall into decay. Now gangs are the 'law' and 'government', and they are the only way to procure food and resources for most people. However, their violent quest for land has ended more lives than their 'protection' has saved. They are now being infiltrated by Azrael, who have not yet made their presence in D.C. public.
//What Playing Here Is:
For a gang member, life is simple. Kill other gangs and take their land, and recruit whoever's left. They don't worry about things like 'resources,' it's all provided by the boss. Somehow. Those who have chosen to resist the gangs have life a little tougher, they must find a way to survive outside of the gangs. Several wealthy families have offered their homes as protection. Azrael is slowly creeping into the gangs, trying to take them down from the inside so that they may transition into leadership over D.C. smoothly and as heroes.
