If you found your way here this means that you have chosen to be a part of our little rag tag group of Gaians determined to keep Gaia being one of the best places on the net. We do have rules and guidelines and everything you need to know will be covered in this thread.
Guilds Ground Rules:
1, Follow the Gaian TOS + Rules&Guidelines.
2, Be polite to fellow guild members.
3, Make other members feel welcome.
4, All discussions are to be kept like that (no petty squabbles please)

The Main Hall is a common ground for everyone. Everyone is entitled and welcome to create a thread. You can basically make a topic on anything.
As the main hall is a common ground we ask that you refrain from flamming or impeding people from talking. Debating is fine and encouraged on topics, everyone's opinion is to be heard in full though. Try to be polite when arguing over something.
If you have a guild event you'd like to start you MUST run it by one of the Crew. There's almost no reason why we'd say no, it's just one of those "just in case" things. When it gets the okay you can make a main hall thread and we'll sticky it up for you.

All of our subforums generally have their rules and guidelines in the welcome stickies. Obviously the general guild rules apply here too but if your unsure consult their welcome stickies for guides on what to post there. Some welcome stickies also contain handy guides and useful information so be sure to have a look at them. Some of the subforums may be closed for cleaning from time to time.

The Town wings cover Gaia's four major Towns, they can house NPC fan threads, team threads, bragging threads (so for example you can reminisce on winning the water balloon fight, Olympics etc) Threads that chat about games there, stories that happened in that town, plot topics, Race Baces + Profession Clubs etc. These are very Gaia focused but can have thread games and such if you wish.

What is a Race Base thread?
A Race Base thread is a mini hangout for people who are often or always a certain Gaian 'race' such as Grombie, Alein, Troll, Orc, Demon etc. This is by no means a place that ONLY that race can hang-out in as everyone is welcome everywhere but it is a little nook to unite that specific race and their friends and allies.
What is a Profession Club Thread?
Like a Race Base it is a hangout for people who unite under a common goal that is multi-race encompassing, things like Surfer, Ninja, Pirate, Assassin etc. This is to encourage both banding together and friendly competition.

-Bases can be placed in any of town wings as well as the O.R.R.G. subforum.
-Bases should be open to all members of ANY race as well as having a specific focus on your own.
-It MUST be stated somewhere in the main posts of the thread that other races are welcome.
-Unity can be achieved through race bases linking up together through in-guild affiliation.
-Guild rules and the T.O.S. apply as well as the subforums own rules.
-Professions can be as wacky as you like e.g. Pirate, Dancer, Ninja etc but again we strongly encourage alliances and FRIENDLY competition, remember we are about unity.
-You don't have to stick to the race definitions in the O.R.R.G. database.

Member abuse or harassment
1.If an issue that starts here is taken too far and the two parties cannot settle it between themselves, only then will we step in. If you do feel you are being mistreated by a group or individual though feel free to PM someone on the Crew about it.
2.All arguments, rivalries, and grudges should be left at the door if possible. Outside of here you can have a secret desire to burn someone with a death ray, but don't let it spill out here.
3. If anything is going on that a user is concerned about please report it to a Crew member in the guild.
4. If a guild member does harass you then please let a member of guild staff know. Don't presume its not worth it!
Crew feed back
It’s Important that we know how our Crew is doing. If a member of guild staff is harassing you then the same rules as above do apply. We take these matters very seriously and need to be informed if issues do arise. However our Crew works very hard on behalf of you guys so please do let them know how appreciated they are!

Crewing for H.U.B means taking your time out and helping the guild in all sorts of ways. Crew can tidy and move threads, help with events, keep an eye on subforums and make sure members are happy among other things. Being Crew is on a volunteer basis so you don't get paid. Most people crew because they want to help the guild or they have a really good idea for it. Crew can step down whenever they like and then re-crew at another point. We are understanding and supportive of our Crew and know that IRL always comes first. If you think you would like to crew for a while please PM Nights-Rune and ask about it.

As you know everyone is more than welcome to join so feel free to talk to anyone about the guild and ask them if they want to join. Your friends are more than welcome here as well. Sometimes invites will get sent out spontaneously but normally the Crew rely on members to pick people.
If you wish for someone to be Invited then simply ask a Crew member to send them a guild invite.
Alternatively you can pm them personally with a format such as this. However please be careful since some people don't like invites, However this is a Gaia Mod recommended format so it should be pretty safe.

Mules are allowed and welcomed to a point, we prefer it if you can give us a heads up about who's mule it is just so the staff know.
Mules for the purpose of roleplay and thread NPC's are very much welcome but we expect you to be polite and don't abuse them by swaying votes when we do polls or spamming, this can result in a ban of you and / or your mules.

Its a brilliant and noble cause to be sure! Obviously we would love it if you wished to advertise us on your profile or in your sigs but what banners to use? Normally you can find a selection of banners in threads in the art subforum but if you would like to make your own that would be fine also.

We accept a lot of offers to affiliate, be it from other guilds or charities, party threads, petitions etc. If you would like to be affiliated with us then please feel free to PM a member of staff with a link to your thread or guild and a reason why you wish to affiliate and we will try to get back to you promptly with our own banner for you to link. Q: I want to post a topic, can I?
A: Yes please do! Don't worry if it isn't in the right place first off, it can be moved.
Q: Where do Race Bases and Profession Club threads go?
A: They can be put in any of the Town Wings or in the O.R.R.G subforum.
Q:Can the race bases have their own affiliated guilds, charities, quests etc?
A: Yes as long you ask the Guild Captain and they approve of the alliance.
Q:Do we have a Guild Chat Space?
A:Yes by popular vote we have a Field
Q: I Can't find a thread and I want it back what should I do?
A: Since we have recently gone through a MAJOR clean up there may be some threads that have just vanished. Never fear though they are in the Recycle Bin and can be moved back out at any time. All you have to do is a pm a member of crew and ask for your thread back.
Q: I have received a random invite why?
A: Ok so the guild doesn't really do 'random' invites as such. If you have been invited there are a number of possible reasons that will normally be explained in the invite post these reasons include: your friends have asked a mod to invite you, one of our members has seen you about and thinks you may like the guild, you have been found on the occasional interest searches that our mods in charge of inviting people do and most of all you are literate. If you are still unsure ask a mod for details.
Q: My request to join was turned down what gives?
A: We automatically reject any request that is;
a) blank
b) rude or spammy
c) very badly illiterate (outside of an RP context)
If you don't fit into those categories then there could have been a mistake. The guilds can mess up. We may have declined by accident. If this is the case please contact a member of crew such as a mod and re-apply and we will try and get it ironed out asap.

A: Why yes we do! It should be clear from the front page that we are about unity, community spirit, friendship and fun! Our theme revolves around uniting anything that Gaia decides to separate, such as the towns and species.

A: Sadly, no. We don't control the money given to the guild.

A: Various members produce art in the guild although a fair amount of our official banners were made by DJ Tikal. You can use art that is designated to be used outside of the guild, e.g. Banners and such. But you can Not claim it as your own. All art can be found in the art subforum.
Q: What is A.R.M.A.S:
A: It's an organization this guild formed to fight the animated together. The dedicated subforum is there to cater for all your ZOMG needs. Its name means weapon but it also stands for:

A: The Official Registry of the Races of Gaia. It serves as our IC/OOC Archives and deals with all the races here in Gaia. Its also a good place to go to talk about mythical beasts outside of Gaia.
Q: Who created the O.R.R.G?

Q: What is G.U.N:
A: Our guild started out life as the Gaian United Nations, or for short G.U.N. After lots of member feedback it was changed to the Hall of United Brethren or H.U.B. This sounds much more friendly and better shows what we are!
Q: I'm the only [Blank] in the village... What do I do to meet more of my own kind?
A: Well there are a heap of things you can do if you feel lonely; you can invite some more of your kind or just your friends to feel more at home and you can mingle with the rest of us till some come along. You won't get left out in this guild ever! So just be yourself and chat. Note: If you would like someone invited to the guild you may pm Nights-Rune with their names and your request.
Q: I'm new but I really want to help out the guild what can I do?
A: There are whole heap of things you can do to help out! Just because your new doesn't mean you should feel we don't need/want your help! In fact just by posting and being active you are helping out a whole bunch! Try inviting your friends or making banners and chatting to people about the guild. Don't hesitate to get involved in guild events either. We won't disregard your help or opinions just because your new!
Q: I'm human am I still welcome here or is this only for specific races?
A: Of course you are! Your a Gaian to right? We are all gaians here and that is the only thing that matters!
Q: Do I have to stay a specific race to fit in here?
A: No not at all you are of course free to change your avatar as you see fit! We naturally welcome everyone and that includes 'shape-shifters' just means if you want to do the whole back story thing you get to be an awesome mage or something!
Q: I'm not a guild member but am I allowed to post?
A: As long as you follow the rules then yes of course. Our guild is open and free so that you may post as a guest and see if you want to join.
