I'm working on a military RP guild for a friend, and finally finished the list of small arms I intend to make available to infantry/special forces/pilots and vehicle crews. I'd appreciate it if you guys went through and critiqued my list for me before I make it the finalized armoury.

Okay, so maybe the FN Five-seveN isn't that good a handgun. I switched it out.

SIG SG-550 assault rifle

SIG SG-551 carbine

SIG-Sauer P226

FN P90 PDW/SMG

Vektor SS-77 LMG

Sako TRG 42 sniper rifle

SIG SG-550 designated markman rifle

Thanks.

It's quite the selection you have there. I like FN as I have heard they have quality weapons, but the 5.7mm pistol cartridge isn't all that powerful.

I mostly picked the 5.7mm handgun because it shares an ammo type with the P90. Now that I think about it, it doesn't sound like much of an advantage. The P90 may be armour piercing (from what I hear, it is), but a pistol with the same round likely isn't do to lower muzzle velocity from a shorter barrel.

Considering many SMGs as well as automatics come in 9mm parabellum and have more stopping power it's not that big a deal. I've heard the 5.7mm is pretty close to .22lr in terms of qualities.

I've never heard that. All I've heard is hat the British SAS uses it and claims it penetrates armour just fine. I've heard nothing about the round's stopping power.

Then again, the source was Wikipedia. Don't know how reliable that info is.

Noice. I wish I had those. But you wish you had a mini-gun.

Then again, so do I...

You heard it here, then. Pure Taylor Knock-Out numbers, the .22LR is a 1, 5.7 is a 2, 5.56 is a 6, .45ACP is a 12.

.50BMG is in the 150s, which is pretty ******** awesome.

I thought 5.7 would be closer to .22 like maybe a 1.5

Also to the point if 5.7 doesn't hit that hard the P90 might not be that good a choice. The MP5 has proven useful over the years.

I don't know the equation myself, I was using an online calculator. I think all answers were integers, probably rounded.

I support the idea of the 5.7x28mm, but I'm also the guy that belittle's the 5.56 NATO, even though they operate on similar principles.
