Yes, I've seen more than enough of them they're in a whole different realm of horror compared to anything I've ever seen (and I watch them from all over). But they're also often times strange and confusing, though this might be involving something lost in translation and in cultural context.
My faves, personally, are Miike's Audition and One Missed Call (the original. I dare not watch the bastardized american version), as well as Suicide Club/Circle

I saw a Japanese horror anthology once, but it didn't impress me in the slightest.
Maybe I ought to try some of the ones listed here, then... :'3

I have seen about 10 of them. They so much better than american ones. They creepy. Craved, One Missed Call, Audition just to name a few are very good ones.

~♥No one's going to take me alive
I watched Ringu (1st and 2nd The Ring) and I found one of them really sad instead of scary, don't remember which one though. Don't remember if they were really scary d:
The time has come to make things right♥~

Japanese horror is really hit-&-miss for me. While Carved: The Split-mouth Woman was fairly scary, Ju-On ((The Ringu prequel)) wasn't not that great. Takashi Miike's stuff ((i.e. Audition, Koroshiya Ichi)) are very enjoyable, giving more than violence, but a good mind ******** along the way. If you really wanna see a good Miike movie, try "Imprint" from The Masters of Horror anthology. I promise you it's good. Also, You can watch J-horror movies here. Don't worry it's free, but some of the movies will probably take you to another website. If you don't trust it, do bother with it. Suiseiseki says, "Desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu yo!"

One missed call is my favorite! my mom and i watched it with subtitles on on-demand and i was surprised she loved it, because normally she doesn't like to listen to Japanese music and stuff like i do. but she loved it and watched it a second time ^-^
