I believe our official motto is "The Pacesetter of College Marching Bands, the Pride of California" which isn't all that original...like every band ever calls themeselves "The Pride of [insert state here]." xD
"Balls on the line" is one that comes up a lot...
and our DM signs his emails "Every SHOW Counts." I like that one.

Our is "Never settle for your present level of achievement" it was even on your report card in and band or choral class under the comments.

You get what you give. Nothing more, nothing less.
That was started by our last band director. Everybody loved her. She left about two years ago. Now we have a new band director. Everybody hates her. She never says it, but our upperclassmen who had Ms Long bring it up still.

That's what the band director shouts whenever we need to get really loud and shoot lots of air through our horns. We're the only ones who get it. lol.

i'm sure my bd meant park and play, but leave it to us pervy saxes to keep that mistake. we were criticized for not dancing as much as always (which we do a lot at shows cuz we're a flashy band, haha) and a rival band claimed we park and played, so my bd likes to remind us that we're better than them and better than that and need to stay "the best"

...I wasn't there for the creation so I don't know why it's going to be on our Superior shirts, but...:l
