That's right! NaNoWriMo is comming up. 30 days to write 50000 words. Can't be done? Well, I did it last year, and I'm going to do it again this year. It's a lot of fun, and all donations go to literacy programs all over the world. Plus, after the insanity of November is over, it is unofficially National Novel Editing Month, and there are contests for all genres.

By the way, I'm "ScarletFrost" there too. Kind of a universal nic-name for me. ^_^

That's the point of NaNoWriMo. I'd never written much over 10K until I won NaNo last year. It's liberating, in a way, because you have to turn off your internal editor. ^_^

Far as I'm concerned, on a personal basis, 50K of anything that's not homework counts. I've never reached 10K so...

i think i've topped out at just over a hundred. ._. they are meant to be longer, i just have a tendancy to take a looooong time convincing myself to pick back up the novels i started.... so i havn't even finished the first chapter of nything yet.

Awww, <3<3<3 ^_^
What can I say? I've had this plot bunny maturing for a while in my mind. Besides, when you're doing random fantasy, filler is easy. Especially when you can type 70+ wpm.
(I already have 12,363 words, for those who are counting.) xp

Ick... *glares at Scarlet* I think the most I've ever written is 400 or 500 words in a single piece. Course my problem is I start something and then don't go back to it after I stop.

*smiles happily* My longest piece was probably over two thousand words... But I've never finished anything... *sighs*

All of those are wonderful reasons to do NaNoWriMo! It's a great way to motivate yourself to write. ^_^
