So in my band there is some type of band match up couple thing what ever you call it. But like the couples are always::
trumpetXclarinet TubaXSax PercussionXLow brass
For the flutes I'm not to sure...In my band we have alot of stuck up ones so they probably take someone outside of band.
What are you band couples? (If you have them)

Same thing in my band...people always put people as couples. Well, here are the couples:
trumpet X clarinet trumpet X sax trumpet X trombone trumpet X lowerbrass tuba X bass clarinet flute X clarinet bells(xylophone) X flute saxophone X French horn saxophone X tuba saxophone X trombone flute X violin violin X clarinet violin X trumpets xylophone X drums trombone X tuba trombone X bass clarinet
There are alot more couples. Too laxy to put all.
Also some members in my band....go over board with the couple thing and do something like this:
trumpet X saxophone X tuba X bass clarinet

For my band, we here is what we usually get: sax / trumpet clarinet / baritone french horn / baritone trumpet / trumpet trumpet / flute flute / sax percussion / trombone percusission / trumpet percussion / flute
And to even everything out, everyone dates the color guard. It adds a good variety to the mix.

I don't think there are any particular instrument combinations, but we do have twenty-two band couples this year.
The only bad thing is that if you ever break up with another band member, you'll be charted next to him/her for every show for the rest of your band career. Our charting committee is evil. wink

We've had Flute x Alto Sax Percussion x Tenor Sax Percussion x Tuba (my pairing lol) Alto x Tenor
I actually don't think we have any couples in the band this year. All of the above either broke up or graduated.

We have: mallets x mallets mallets x mellophone drumline x flute baritone x trumpet sax x mellophone (much to my chagrin... it used to be my relationship, trombone x mellophone.)
and there's a trumpet player every girl wants... so there could be a trumpet x anything at this point.

There's also a trumpet player who's gone out with every section except a clarinet. I play clarinet, and he's been giving me looks lately. I wonder...
