Those of you who have seen her live, would you please compare the sound quality and overall quality of the performance. I've heard that she can be pitchy during performances and I would love to be a judge myself but I can't afford to drive all the way to one of her concerts and pay for a ticket.

I haven't been to one of her concerts as well but I agree with what you said. I've watched videos and she does sound pitchy as times. What I found weird was that she can sing covers, pitch wise, better than her own songs.

Haha yeah I noticed that too. Maybe it's cause when she's in concert she moves around diminishing her voice.

Probably. Same goes for Demi Lovato but that's another topic. Taylor's still great even if her voice isn't.

Her recordings in the studio is so much better than her live. She is quite pitchy. I haven't been to a concert either but watching her on award shows, Oprah and just in general when she's on T.V she isn't too good. She does covers way better than her own songs. I agree with EG.

I have noticed this as well. However, as a singer I realize just how hard it is to sing and walk, or sing and move around. That's generally why little kids don't sing and dance very welll~and most of them are pitch-deaf~
Naturally recording studios do allow voices to be altered and when singing with a mic it's much diffrent then hearing yourself recorded smile

Sometimes when Taylor sings her songs though I'm like "Does she know how she sounds?"
What I think she needs to do is learn what songs work for her and which ones don't and avoid the ones that don't.
She sings White Horse well. From what I've heard. But songs that have high or long notes like You Belong With Me aren't sung well.

@Angelic_Gurl13 I agree. Her ballads does her justice, for the most part. I think she's super comfortable on them because her performance shows it.
@stormysgirl13 Don't bash me but Miley can pull it off. Don't know if Hannah Montana and all the cheerleading she does help with a voice coach but her voice sounds much better than Taylor's live even if Miley is trying "too hard." Yes recording studios do make a person sound better but how much will they alter the voices just to make money? :/ *coughsselenagomezcoughs* But that's a different story.

Miley can sing well. She has a nice, deep voice that sounds well with certain songs than others like Taylor. Voices are altered so much in the recording studio. It's sad because we no longer know who can really sing until we hear them live. Taylor' voice seems to be altered quite a bit. But I can't not like her. biggrin It's impossible. She is a great performer, a great role model, a great singer [sometimes] and an overall down-to-earth great person. No bashing involved.

Once again they're trying to make money such as Disney and Nick, although not as much. But even live it's hard to tell who's good and who's not. Acoustic is where it's at.

she might sound pichty because she moves alot in her concerts and she runs out of breath. I've never heard her on concert before though. LUV her though

Oh, her singing in her new album is HORRIABLE. You can't hear her sing. It's way to...jazzed up. She is better live. Although, she should stick to comedy acting. Now THAT she can do, and quite well. But anyway, this is a Taylor guild, not a Selena guild. haha
