I've been interested in tarot for quite some time. I have a faerie wicca tarot deck. I would use it more often if I was at that level of tarot reading. (I'm a beginner, and that deck is wayyy too advanced for me.)
It has like... 83 cards. Yikes. D;
Is anyone else interested in tarot? Or do any of you have that same deck? Let's chit-chat! :3

I have the faeries oracle tarot deck myself. I'm a beginner who has never really advanced even though I've had my deck for quite a few years. My deck came with a book sort of teaching me how to do everything and the general meaning for each card. I do believe in my cards and take the readings seriously but only for friends.

I have a deck of real tarot cards and they are pocket sized (I am waiting to get another deck though) I know a good site that actually teaches about tarot cards ^^

I do tarot, but I use a special deck that only conjures the spirits of faeries when I read the tarot. One must at least have some psychic ability before tapping into tarot, and also a very clear mind. Tarot can have some downfalls if you don't know what you are doing.

I myself use the Fae Wiccan Tarot Deck. I only use the suit cards myself tho, I dont use the others [ never had a need to ]
Best thing to do is to clear your mind, take deep breaths. Connect yourself with the all power [ whatever name you have for it, via God, Buddha, or whatever ] and keep your minds eye stable. As you read the cards, picture them in your minds eye. Picture the situation your doing the reading for. Then translate the reading into meaning. You should be good then

I bought myself a deck when I was in High School (gods I feel old) in hopes of learning how to use the cards, but it literally vanished within days of purchasing it. I know that if you aren't meant to have a certain deck, or any deck at all, that this can happen, but it's made me wary about purchasing another deck.
Can anyone offer some insight?

Hi Kyrellyan, Lol, don't feel old! I bought my first deck in high school as well. I also bought a few more in college, all mysteriously vanishing before I found two that work for me and have, thankfully, decided to stick around. redface If your deck disappeared on you, it probably means that it wasn't the right deck for you (I've had it happen before to me too...several times sweatdrop ) My recommendation would be, when looking for a new deck, is to find one that really resonates with you. (aka- don't get a deck because you like the decorations, etc.) I currently have a tarot deck centered around ancient egytian gods and goddesses and a fairy oracle deck. Both resonate, although I tend to use the oracle deck more, as that resonates the most. (I'm still learning the cards and their meanings...there are quite a few of them) You may have luck finding them at the local bookstore, but I find that it's harder to focus on finding something for me in places like that. If you're able to go to a small, privately owned store, and they're willing to let you handle the deck, I would do that. Sometimes, physically holding the cards helps you decide whether or not it's for you. So, do I think you should try purchasing another deck? Absolutely! Just take your time and don't rush into a purchase simply because you think the deck is pretty (hard to do, I know!) Good luck! heart Kyrellyan I bought myself a deck when I was in High School (gods I feel old) in hopes of learning how to use the cards, but it literally vanished within days of purchasing it.
