I'm pretty sure you've all seen the announcement concerning the new Gold Shop, which charges users upwards of 6 million gold for one item. The items are also limited, so we just can't save up and quest for them because we won't know how long they can last!
Any thoughts on this? Theories are spouting off that this is a plot element, that we are being tricked by the Admins, or just a crazy Cash Shop scheme.

I think Brennivin thinks to highly of his work... >>; I would understand if they charged like 100k-300k or something (which was what I thought when they said expensive in the announcement)

I would understand 500k at most for these items but the only ood one there is like the wizard hat because it looks like an over sized pimp hat, but anything over 1 million gold is alittle much for me to spend on crap. I am the one to know when Im spending money on crap or not because I do that a lot.

TokioDoII it's a trick, or else they would allow you to pay with gaia cash. It has something to do with halloween, i'll bet. The GCD is saying that's a way to deflate the Marketplace: due many people getting uberly rich with EIs, to get these UBER EXPENSIVE ITEMS they'll batch buy MANY EIs which will eventually make them sell less That's a theory I've heard Then again, I do really wish it has to be with Halloween. Of course, this solves who was the mysterious guy on the Dark Reflection

As I've posted elsewhere, this shop also conveiniantly serves as a bit of a gold sink to any of those jackpot lottery winners..

It's a gold sink... albeit not a very effective one. Medium priced items sink more gold in gross... I do think it's interesting, but I don't find the items appealing enough to quest for them.

Well, I'm amused. Waiting about a month before I allow any other emotion.

I second the "amused" emotion.
Watching others frantically sell most of their items to buy a different items is quite amusing.

Burning Crimson It's a gold sink... albeit not a very effective one. Medium priced items sink more gold in gross... I do think it's interesting, but I don't find the items appealing enough to quest for them. Agreed on both counts. I don't consider the items to be worth the price, and it would be a much more effective gold sink if the prices were around the hundreds of thousands.

I'm not sure. I just think it's an expensive regular store; a basic money sink. They don't have an expensive regular store yet.
Although Imo I think it should start at like 100,000 and have like possible letter items.
