The Library A large room composed of two levels, the library is possibly one of the bigger rooms in the mansion. Shelves after shelves line the walls of the first floor, covering everything from books on spells and rituals, to history, to fables and stories. Shelves also take up most of the space in between the walls, though in two locations they give way to seating areas, nice comfortable couches centered around low coffee tables, or just as comfortable chairs set around oak tables. There’s also several spots along the walls where shelves don’t meet up, and small niches with stained glass windows taking their place. These locations tend to offer the most privacy, for those who seek it… though its rumored there’s one niche that has a secret door of sorts into a private room, containing the most dangerous spell books and scrolls… but few know how to access it. Quite dangerously, it might seem, the far wall is taken up in the middle by a fireplace, where one might warm themselves on a cold winter's night. The second level is where most of the other scrolls are kept. This level does not cover an entire flooring area, but is instead a balcony area that runs along all of three of the walls, and a small portion of the fourth wall, though there is enough room up here for a scattering of tables surrounded by chairs, just like on the first floor. The north and south walls on this level are a honey comb of cubby holes, filled with scrolls. The east wall is actually covered in tapestries, many of which are historical and well preserved. There are also glass cases set every few feet, containing artifacts of either magical or historical significance. The west wall has a small seating area around its balcony that extends maybe a fifth of the way across on each side, but the rest of this wall is taken up by a large stained glass window that extends through both floors. Needless to say, when the sun sets every day it really makes for quite the sight. Such a large window also means that lighting inside the library during the day by any other means than natural is almost unnecessary. When the sun sets, though, there is a desk right by the entrance, usually lined with candles for the inhabitants of the Haven to use.

Spike walked into the Library. He took a quick glance of the massive library.
“Hello!!”
He yelled seeing if anyone else was there.

Faris yelled and tried not to fall backward over the second-level railing as the book he was repairing suddenly leaped to life and tried to snap his face off. The blood-curdling scream that it had let loose as it came off the table was just adding to the effect. With a mighty swat, the cursed tome dropped to the floor, still as Death. "Jewish prostitute on a crucifix! If Kenshin doesn't give me that list of the cursed and enchanted ones soon, I'm taking up a sword again!" Flicking the book carelessly back up onto the table, he picked up the exact-o knife and slit the parchment holding the balsa wood and cloth binding around the brittle, yellowed pages. "Welcome to the Haven's gods-damn library. Is there anything I can help you find?" The red-haired demon scratched at the exposed scar tissue on the back of his neck where it poked out of his t-shirt, mindlessly rattling off the greeting and carefully gluing the old and still well-strung pages into the spine of the carved leather cover he'd prepared for the book.

Spike looked at Faris with blank look on his face as if not expecting him.
"where am I?"
He asked rudley with his hand behind his head as he leaned on his right leg.
"the last thing I remember was a bright flash and I woke up outside"
As he spoke he pointed to the door.

Silver walks into the library and looks for a book about what might be happening to her. ''No not it. No not that either. Why can't I find anything? She walks around and then walks straight towards the wet floor. She falls and then starts sliding on the ground going towards a table ''No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!'' She shouts as she slides closer to the table and then runs into it. Books fall on her and she is covered by books.

Faris pushed the library's huge oaken doors with a mighty bang. "What in Lucifer's y-fronts are you doing, you stupid wench!" The wolf felt utterly wronged as he saw a puddle of water, wet foot-prints leading in, around, back to a spot. Then, at the end of a damp trail was Silver. She'd wailed as she slammed hard into the legs of a table. While the piece of furniture hadn't tipped onto her, all the books atop it had. "Worthless! You track water into an archive of ancient texts, you slip in that self-same filth, and then you knock yourself flat, slide and knock Lord Kenshin's SELFSAME texts into that still-self-same filth you are covered in!" Anger was literally boiling off of his body, crackling in the form of raw magic. The table she'd knocked into had held the books that he was re-binding. Loose pages had fluttered everywhere, many were wet, damp or scattered about where it would take ages to get the numberless pages back into order. "I should NEVER have moved down here to work! I should have been in one of the alcoves upstairs!" A few breaths had him marginally more stable, and he could hear the lullaby his mother had sung to his nieces and nephews when he had returned for a brief time to Evarlia. "Worthless. You best get those shoes and that jacket off of you. Don't bother cleaning up, though. Oh no, not when you caused this wasteland." The wolfs eyes rolled wildly as he snarled and bent to pick up the pages closest to him. This was a disaster. Clearly, the girl was a mindless klutz. She'd been out at the coast, and had likely laid in the one line of sand that was always wet. The shoes she was wearing as she got up squished out more water yet and he had to fight not to rip her throat out. He moved ever closer, snatching up pages and muttering drying spells and spells to clear certain types of filth as he went. "How one does not notice they are a grimy mess and squelching down large, empty, echoing hallways is beyond me." With a slight heave, he tilted the table of where it leaned against another it had fallen into, setting it upright. "Angel, if you wish to wash some of your travel's marks away, there is a bathroom just across the hall from the doors we came through. When you feel a bit better, you may take any one of the seats here in the area." Faris set the pages and pages down and began going about to collect the others that had not been in his direct path to the workstation. "Lucky you didn't fall on one of the knives I use with the leather, wench. Try not to live in your own deluded thoughts so much!"

Angel d`Monte Lions make you brave, Giants give you faith. Death is a charade, You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel stared around her as the large oak doors were moved to allow the two to pass. She smiled as she saw the ornate decorations and trimmings of the library. It smelled of old books, though she really didn`t know what the smell was. She smiled all the same, it seemed serene in here; peaceful. That was, until Faris seemed outraged.
Her eyes gazed upon the source of his frustration: that tiny human girl. Angel couldn`t help but roll her eyes, of course a human would make such a mess and outrage a demon. She smirked softly as Faris reprimanded the human, but then it reached a level that she could not ignore. Softly, she placed her hand upon Faris` arm, squeezing it lightly. She tossed her auburn locks to the side and stretched out her magnificent wings carefully, flying the few extra feet so she could whisper into his ear, "Dear, Faris -- do go easy on the worthless being, it is clumsy by nature... and death threats are unbecoming of you. It shall die on it`s own, probably sooner rather than later due to it`s misfortune and fragility". She then lowered herself back to the ground and smiled up at Faris, nodding her head as he suggested she clean up in the bathroom.
"I..." she began, then sighed and shook her head. No, you must figure out this 'bathroom' thing on your own.. she scolded internally. He had given her the directions, so she followed them back to the large oak doors and then moved across from them. When she pushed open the door the room was already lit, and it smelled sterile. She sighed and padded her way over to a concave hole in a slab of wood. She stared down into it and then noticed two tiny knobs above it. Slowly, she turned one of them and watched water pour into the concave hole from a spout. She blinked several times and then smiled happily, seeing her reflection in front of her. "Amazing!" she said to herself excitedly, then dipped her hands into the water and used it to wash all of the grime from her face, arms, chest, legs. She scrubbed and scrubbed until she was completely spotless. She then ran her fingers through her tangled hair and set it back in place. She looked perfect, though she had never really seen her reflection so vivid before.
Nodding her approval, she turned on her heel and walked back out into the library to find Faris once more. She was supposed to meet Lord Kenshin, and she supposed that the knot in her stomach was from the anxiety leading up to that meeting.

By the time Angel had returned, The pages were organizing themselves with a spell the wolf had cast the human had gone and the mess she had made with her. As the pages were sorted, Faris was standing on the mezzanine above, levitating books, scrolls and other things up to him so that he could carry them to a table surrounded by several bookcases. A feather duster swept past the doors and they shut behind her, in a series of spells that he had cast to keep the place clean. A small clatter notified the gargantuan wolf to the fact that a hole had been punctured into the wood-paneled wall behind at least one of the doors by the sturdy ornate handle. "Dammit. I'll get there!" It was clear the snarl was more for himself than anyone else. "Angel! If you want something to read, tell me, and I'll bring it to you so you have something to read while we wait for Kenshin, yeah?" The duster whipped up to her and brushed across her bare shins. "And thank you for trying to calm me earlier. I'm sorry I didn't clarify the bathroom for you. By your slightly clearer scent, I assume you got it on your own?" The duster disappeared up over the rail above and he walked over to the area it had flown over. A wave of his hand brought up the thick stack of leather, a small wooden case and several knives and chisels left on the table.

Angel d`Monte Lions make you brave, Giants give you faith. Death is a charade, You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Her eyes followed the little feather duster as it bounced about the ground, cleaning up anything out of place. She smiled at it, it seemed so lifelike. It was odd. Shrugging her shoulders she looked up at Faris and nodded, "It`s quite alright, I found it and finally feel -- myself again" she said softly with as a small grin played across her lips.
She`d never thought herself to be beautiful before, but she`d never seen such a clear, crisp image as the one in the bathroom. It made her feel good, positive, confident. It was what she needed, being in a place that she knew nothing of.
At his offer of a book she nodded her head, "May I read something on ... what did you call them ... vampires? So that I may know more about Lord Kenshin. It would be a shame to meet him and be so, naive, as it stands" she sighed lightly and placed her hands on an ornately carved wooden banister near her, gazing up at Faris carefully.

The wolf yawned and watched the small Grace standing at the foot of the stairs that led to the upper floor. He thought about the various books and scrolls placed throughout the large room, and after a moment, leaped over the banister and padded to a honeycomb-slotted wall. When he returned, he held a thick scroll that was wrapped around two rather thin teak rods. "There you go. I sent Kiai after Kenshin a little while ago, but the man could really be about anywhere on the grounds." The feather dusted suddenly dropped from above and smacked into the top of his head before falling with a dull clatter on the floor. "Oh I am SURE there is dust somewhere." Faris picked the duster up and tossed it in the direction he had come, muttering a phrase under his breath to reinstate the self-cleaning spell. "This is rather old as it is. They can be useless. I can't wait until Yuki returns with Ireina. Then I'll have a bit of proper help from my sister around here."

Evian paused a moment at the cry of pain, instinctively reaching out a hand towards him, but she stopped herself. Again, she was trying to respect his pride as well. She nodded once, walking with him quickly, her skin rippling again as she became a telekinetic. Though it wasn't like her outward appearance had changed any. "Hold on." She murmured, lifting the two of them up and flying them through the air, just hoping that she wasn't adding to injury by doing this. They got to the library much faster, opening the door for him once they had set down in front of the doors. Once he was inside she closed them, giving him room since she had completed what he had asked of her. Again, she was trying to respect his pride.

Kenshin landed on the floor, just as he was dry-heaving brutally. Wincing, he stood and tried to collect himself, his arm growing a bit nastier as the seconds ticked by. Kenshin needed help fast. Thank god, this woman had saved him, though he didn't say much, the look in his eyes spoke leagues. But he was here now, and couldn't have been more thankful.
"FARIS!", he hollered sharply, limping unsteadily towards the middle of the library. He could see some books that were being worked on, spread out in a fashionable way that they could be put back together, and the stack on the table let Kenshin know Faris was at least keeping his end of the job up. He only hoped Faris would have the spell tome that he needed to arrest this power-hungry fiend that wanted out again. And it wanted any kind of blood it could sink its teeth into. Kenshin's eye twitched uncontrollably as he tried to pinpoint Faris' location in this massive arcade.

Faris slipped on the hem of his pants as he turned on his heel to the sound of Kenshin's voice. The smell of blood had reached the demon faster than words and he was instantly racing over to the lord. "I'm not even sure I want to know what the hell happened to you!" A flick of the wolf's wrist brought several tomes sailing to a table near the dark demon and the small woman with him. With a quick bow, Faris shooed the small woman off to where the slender Grace was. "Off with you. I'd rather I be attacked than you, Miss. There is a young woman off that way that I am sure could enjoy your company." As he spoke, he was already summoning a wooden stool over for Kenshin to perch upon. "Sit you elderly rat b*****d. Let's see what I can do." Faris wasn't about to mince words with the other demon just to appease his master-complex.
