With me, yes. I've got college, work, and moving between a few locations recently. I've also been getting sicker and I'm not quite sure what's wrong, but it's been keeping me off the computer. I would love to be here more if I could.

Work and college. And just haven't logged onto Gaia in past week or so. Just got caught up on all the late August and later posts yesterday. Will try to be more active now that there's something to actually read, and possibly comment on.

I post, but I admit ... if something doesn't really catch my attention, I don't bother with it. Or often I'll hold back and let someone else comment (such as your own "having doubts" thread).
Welcome back (even temporarily), Xi and Lyme. I'd been wondering what had happened to you two.

Starting new topics is easy. Starting a good topic is a whole 'nother matter. And getting folks to chime in is hardest of all.
And you'll notice that most topic threads are started by relative newcomers, such as yourself (and meaning no disrespect with the "newcomer" label). *Shrug.* Works for me. I'm not terribly imaginative, and I suck at starting conversations, but once you give me a topic, I can usually run with it into the ground sweatdrop And you are one of the great conversation starters, so as long as I can avoid getting on your bad side, maybe we can lure others in.
But going back a bit, there are a number of members who have joined and wandered away, or joined and never posted. I've discussed it with Xi, and he's agreed to let me clear out our rosters a bit. I'm going to PM folks and remind them we're here ... then, after a suitable time, start banning non-active members.
And I'm hoping someone here will have some ideas for stirring up new members. Me, I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of an online revival.

It's sort of sad - I've met some wonderful Christian Gaians over the course of time, but gradually lost contact with them. It's too bad.

Dragonbait And I'm hoping someone here will have some ideas for stirring up new members. Me, I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of an online revival. I'll get back with you on that. While many revivals have been where people are gathered together in a face-to-face atmosphere, this is a new age in which we can't exactly do so. (Unless someone is willing to pay for all of the airline tickets, fly us all together, pay for the gas and hotel, etc.) To Takahashi_Natsumi: It happens a lot sadly. I've also met a few wonderful Christians but I suppose other things take their focus offline or at least off of gaia. I will generally not post in a debate thread unless I'm asked to or if I notice that things are emotionally heated up between two parties. I have posted in debate threads in the past though. Though it has been a while since I did that out of my own freewill while it wasn't a heated debate. I agree with 'Bait though. It depends upon the topic that you post that depends upon people replying to the thread or not.

Indeed... busyness abounds...
Me personally... dividing time between married life, my son, and holding a crappy but steady job trying to make ends meat... online time is kindof scarce... >_>
ooh! that would be so much fun! Getting all the guild members in one location for a mini-convention... we could watch anime... play D&D... oh... and theorize about this and that bible verses together... ^_^

I just joined the guild, so I can't say much about posting frequently. However, if you guys are looking for ways to get more members and have people post more, just spice it up a bit. Add in some RP get togethers, maybe a contest, some trivia, etc. I was part of a charity that reeled in new members by holding RP events like a ball, beach party, stuff like that. Each event would have contests like outfits, best RP'ing, art contests... It probably isn't my place to suggest things since I'm new but maybe we could hold a big "party" type thing in here. We could start advertising in our signatures, get together some gold for prizes, get some hype up about it and then invite people and see what happens. If people have fun at one event here and make friends, they're more likely to stay around, especially if there's promise of another one. I even held my own carnival event once and while it was kind of stressful keeping up with all the page prizes and such, everyone had fun and it brought people closer ^^
Edit: And there don't have to be strict rules for the RP, in case some members aren't really into it. I wasn't when I started out, I just did it for the events for fun. :3
