Kusari is my name, and I expect to be addressed as such.
Physical Description:
I stand at six feet one inch and weigh one hundred and eighty pounds. I have long, gray, wispy hair that is deceiving to my young appearance. I have gray eyes and an athletic build.
Zanpakuto:
Kokuangyō (Bringer of Darkness) is a dull gray blade with a serrated middle. As you draw closer to the hilt there is an inscription of runes that covers a third of the blade. The hilt is a dark ebony color with silver designs. It features a succubus shaped handguard, and some flame designs on a silver ring.
Even the sheath is decorated, having what appears to be finger gauntlets across it.
Shikai:
(Achieved) Release incantation: "Guide me to your palace Kokuangyō"
Kokuangyō becomes a spiked chain with a hilt at either side. Each hilt bears a nine inch blade.
Kokuangyō has two abilities in this form.
1.) If the chain remains whole, Kokuangyō will deflect any melee attack within a five foot radius.
2.) If Kusari splits the chains of Kokuangyō, they can extend to any length. At this point they begin to absorb surrounding light. The light charges and electrifies the chains until Kokuangyō fires the light in an explosive wave. If by chance Kokuangyō has the blood of an enemy touch its chains, Kokuangyō will track that scent, revealing its owner and chasing them down until it samples enough of their blood to appease itself. Kokuangyo can support up to 800 pounds hanging from its chains without slowing. In Shikai Kokuangyō has eight commands.
Block -- The chains connect to block all physical attacks from any side.
Divide -- The chains split to attack
Extend -- (Not spoken) Chains extend towards a target.
Bind -- Chains wrap around a target.
Tooth -- The spikes on the chains grow.
Nail -- The spikes drive into the flesh deeply and form three pronged hooks to hang the enemy from.
Dark Cage:
The chains wrap around the field and cage in Kusari and his opponents into darkness. Screams and Kusari's laughter echo through the cage, and the chains constantly move, feeling like snakes on your feet. Staying in one place means getting caught, and getting loose from the chains is impossible to do without injury. At the time the chains taste the blood of a victim, Kusari can see them in red through the magical darkness created by the cage. All vision is 3 feet out unless increased by a kido to up to 10 feet.
BankaI:
Kokuangyō Keibatsu (Bringer of Darkness' Judgment)
Kusari drives the nine inch blades into his flesh and the chains turn on him, wrapping him in spiked armor. Kokuangyo retains its previous abilities, but the number of chains has multiplied and the ability to absorb light is kicked into massive overdrive.
Erase the pain: Numbs Kusari's body of all feelings of pain or injury. The armored suit allows broken limbs to function as normal. [passive]
Type O Negative: Draws in the opponents blood to the chains to heal Kusari's wounds. The blood type is altered on its journey and formed into pure plasma. The will only seal a wound shut, and cannot heal serious injuries. It can also be used to remove or lessen the effect of blood toxins.
Shred: The armor extends rapidly to bind an opponent from mouth to ankle and cause massive bleeding. Instantly dismissed by a strong energy attack.
Dark tunnel: Drags Kusari through darkness to avoid attacks, but leaves physical and mental scars that are difficult to heal. Its not often used.
Remember the past: Reveals a persons aura to Kusari, while showing them an illusion of their past until they are disturbed by anothers touch.
Remember the pain: Past injuries begin to resurface.
Share the pain: Kusari's injuries duplicate onto the enemy.
Bleed It Out: At the cost of severely weakening himself until he can recover, Kusari can purge toxins from himself and, if he acquired a blood sample, he may build an immunity to it after three purges.
Suffer: The armor detaches from Kusari's head and reattaches itself to the enemy. Causes pain and bleeding, but requires a previous blood sample. Transfers all toxins to the enemy as well regardless of immunity.
Judgment: Depending on the persons aura judgment can result in multiple punishments from the following.
Incarceration: The armor detaches completely and reverses onto the enemy, leaving the outside smooth, and the inside full of spikes and hooks.
Death: A single chain embeds itself into the enemy and electrocutes them with stored light.
Freedom: The soul is innocent, the chains cover the opponent as the did Kusari, healing all injuries, and leaving both participants soaked in blood.
Special Accessories:
He wears a metal collar, a lockpick set, and has two hidden blades in each of his shoes, because he refuses to wear sandles. He also wears a gauntlet on his left arm for self punishments.

Personality:
Kusari is a man of odds and probability. Everything is simply an equation to him. He is contemplative and analytical in every situation, and regardless of how formal he attempts to be, his to the point attitude usually comes off as rude.
Biography/History:
Kusari was born to the name Kusari Kendo, of the infamous Kendo clan of Japan. He was hired by a German Nazi General to assassinate English families that were charged with hiding Jews. After some time Kusari changed his name to Korosu in order to keep his deeds separate from his families. Kusari enlisted in the SS and became a Brigadier General. He was placed in charge of a concentration camp, where he ruled with an iron fist.
Kusari grew up with the sword and picked up the gun when he first enlisted in the SS. Between his defensive sword fighting and his marksmanship he was a force to be reckoned with, and that is why the Americans were coming for him.
Kusari escaped and flew to South America to hide in Brazil for some time, using his abilities for the good of the people and learning from them as he realized his wrongs. He became a defender of the people, and would often make jungle runs to get the supplies the people needed to survive.
He turned himself into the Americans seven years after the war ended, he was an old man in that time, but it only showed in his hair. The Americans showed no mercy and executed him regardless of his confessions and apologies.
When the shinigami found him, Kusari was on the verge of hollowfication, prepared to haunt the American judge that had refused to show him mercy, but he felt something touch his forehead, and awoke in a large city.
He enjoyed the peace he had found there and continued to explore the town. Stumbling into the Runkongai district he saw a fight break out, four against one, with the leader wearing some kind of fancy clothing. Kusari beat down the four men with a broom he had picked up from outside a house and sent them on there way as they yelled back at him, "You don't know who your messing with bro. Our boss just got accepted into the shinigami academy, and when he gets out he's going to kick your a**."
Kusari began to find out more about this academy, being a man of knowledge, and was intrigued by the concept of soul reapers. He tested and joined the academy, putting the swordsmanship he had already learned into effect and graduating top of his class almost every year.
Kusari began on squad thirteen. His skills were meant to do more than protect, they were meant to prevent. This allowed him quick passage up to Vice Captain of the squad for a good measure of time. At the end of the civil war he was awarded the position of squad six captain.
