What's this? An influx of candidates? Well, you all know what this means. Once again, we have six beautiful dragons up for grabs, and it's up to you to tell us who their riders are! As an added bonus, there are three potential custom slots to be filled, as well!
As Sou likes to say, it's time for some fun in the sun! (And time for Igen to get populated! ;D)

Igen's Srs Business Rules Overall Guidelines 1. There are six premade dragons and three customs up for grabs. You CANNOT changed the premade personalities. 2. All entries are to be PM'd to this account! 3. Please do not edit your entries once they have been sent. 4. This contest will run for a little more than a week, so it will end at 10 PM EST on Sunday, September 13th. 5. Remember, these are adult customs, so we don't want to see any character who's currently a candidate! ;3
Premade Guidelines 1. The dragons' personalities are premade and not to be changed dramatically. 2. You create a rider you would match with one of the dragons! 3. You may enter as many different riders as you like. 4. You have the option to give us permission to pair your rider with a dragon you didn't enter for, if the dragon you entered for has been taken or we feel the rider matches better. You do not have to take this option. 5. If you DO take the option listed above, please do not complain about what dragon you get! We've all worked very hard on these, and it makes us feel bad to know someone doesn't appreciate our effort. :<
Custom Guidelines 1. You can't custom a gold, sorry. :[ 2. A custom rider can be paired with a flatsale dragon if you take that option. 3. These customs can be for Igen OR Ista! 4. Though there are THREE custom slots available, we reserve the right to choose less than that/none if we feel there are no suitable entries.
Feel free to leave any questions in this thread! <3
NOTE: Girls are allowed to apply for the blues and greens! Since it's 'frowned upon' at Igen though, you can expect some bronzeriders and the Weyrwoman herself to give them grief about it, so feel free to include such things in your form!

It's Skelath's way or the highway. This bronze has been around long enough to know that the only way to get something done right is to do it yourself. Whenever he's not in charge, he'll argue with command quite stubbornly; if His does not interfere, Skelath would quarrel until he got his way. Neither bashful nor shy, the small bronze has no problem telling you exactly what's on his mind, regardless of how it comes out. He thinks pretty highly of himself and is quick to protect his own, good name. As far as Skelath is concerned, his opinion is really the only one that matters, but when this becomes a democracy, he'll let you know.
Bossy since day one, Skelath has never allowed anyone to take advantage of him, not even his rider. He is brassy and loud; he is loudest when things are not going his way. It is very hard to change his mind and it takes logic and reason to dislodge him from his pedestal. Fortunately, most of plans are well thought out; Skelath never wants to be made the fool.
He's still pretty young, so he still has some things to learn, but his courage and fortitude give him the promise of making a good leader. Once he's finally at the head of things, Skelath is actually more willing to listen, as long as he isn't feeling threatened. Self-confidence is the one thing holding him back. He over-compensates and that is where he really needs His to watch his back. Skelath does take interest in the golds, but up until now, Ioreth has ruled the roost. Finally given an opportunity to shine, Skelath will fight tooth and nail to earn his spot. He is very aware leadership is earned and not a given right (he has an immense dislike for his clutchmate Kideth and His), and Skelath wants more than anything to prove himself and His.
* Note: Kideth is Th'ran's bronze (listed in the Igen NPCs). Because Kideth and Skelath are clutchmates, Skelath is 12 turns old. His rider does not have to be the same age as Th'ran.
Blue Dioth is a very social animal, he seems to know everyone and gets along with them all. He always has something to say and he's always looking for a good time. A regular hippie, Dioth doesn't want any confrontation. He's laid-back to the point of being checked out and often needs to be brought back to reality. Drama only pushes him farther into his shell and as hard as anyone's tried, Dioth just won't lash out. He won't give in either, no one can keep this guy down once he's got his mind set in something.
Of course, don't mistake his relaxed state of being for a lack of passion. Dioth has a lot of opinions, he just doesn't force them upon people. Everyone has a right to their own thoughts, that's what makes the world interesting, after all. The blue is more than open to listening to others, as long as they aren't try to shove something down his throat. Dioth is a particularly soft-hearted dragon and has an easy time sympathizing with others, but he's pretty hard to call to action. Just go with the flow, man, go with the flow.
His thoughts on Flight follow a similar track. Dioth goes after greens when nature calls, but he still doesn't seem to get as intense as some of his competitors. He does his thing and if the particular female likes it, that's awesome and if she doesn't, well, that's okay too. He'd be hard to spur to care more by his rider, even if the rider was particularly attached. Dioth has no problem with taking a mate and no problem with his rider doing such, either. He's pretty approving, as far as rules go. Dioth is just a free-and-easy kinda guy, and he's ready to just kick back and enjoy the ride.
The one true and honest way to describe Harunath is pessimistic. Though not a critical or harsh blue by any means, he's a very gloomy sort, and often wonders why he even bothers trying to be as good as the other dragons in the Weyr. Whenever his rider encourages him to do things, he'll often sigh and state there's really no point... but he'll never outright balk and refuse to do something His asks him to do. He'll just warn them in advance that it will probably go very badly. If a dragon could sigh, Harunath would have mastered that art.
Despite his doom and gloom outlook on himself, he gets along reasonably well with others. What's not to like about someone who admits you're better than him? He'll always try if he's encouraged... but if left to his own devices, he'd rather just let life pass him by since he thinks he's not good for much. He's a very amiable dragon, and often agrees with the opinions of whoever he's talking to at the time; he knows he'd lose a fight, so he'd rather not ruffle any feathers...
He's average sized for a blue, and works surprisingly well in a wing--though he may falter if he feels like he's been given a task someone else could do better. And as far as Harunath is concerned, anyone could do it better. Though he would probably rise for Flights more often, his own pessimism is what keeps him grounded. That isn't to say he wouldn't, with a little encouragement, but that's the usual case with this blue.
For all his dour nature, what worries Harunath most of all is that maybe he isn't a good enough dragon for his rider. It's one of the reasons why he'll do whatever is asked of him, despite his own misgivings.

To put it simply, Aliath has the memory of a goldfish. Events don't stay with her more than a day, and even a day is pushing it. Aliath is bound to repeat things she does and says, and has even been known to reintroduce herself to Hers. She'll never forget her rider, but often forgets what transpires between them. She remembers names and faces a little longer, but it's not uncommon for her to be unable to put two and two together. Something has to be truly traumatic or life-altering for her to remember as long as another dragon would.
Despite her difficulties, Aliath is a very positive dragon. She doesn't see anything wrong with her lack of ability to recall mundane things; she can still preform during wing practice. While it took her significantly longer than anyone else in her clutch, Aliath can preform to adequate standards. Yes, she needs help now and then from Hers, but Aliath knows no shame and has no problem asking. Her good disposition does not leave her to panic easily; if she is completely unsure, she will either copy someone else or ask the Winglesser. Aliath is no genius, but she isn't unintelligent, either.
Flights mean nothing to Aliath, she barely remembers the winner just a little while later, anyways! Her rider can sway her very easily and it is doubtful Aliath will ever take on a mate of her own, though she has no objections to her rider doing such. (It is unlikely, however, she'll remember the circumstance, at least in the beginning.). Aliath is very trusting and trust worthy. She always tells the truth to the best of her abilities and assumes her rider to do the same. Since she generally can't remember past events, she never remembers harm done against her and trusts everyone. It's hard to learn from your mistakes when you can't remember them.
What is that? And who is that over there? What are they doing?
Meet Kiilath. Kiilath, questionably, might be the most curious dragon in the whole Weyr, if not the nosiest. It doesn't matter if she's supposed to be doing exercises or focusing on some important task--she wants to know what everyone else besides her is doing! Maybe they're doing something more interesting than she is! This poor green's biggest challenge is just trying to focus on one thing, and one thing only. She'll need to be constantly snapped at by both her superiors and her rider to pay attention, because once Kiilath gets on a roll, there's just no stopping her.
As expected, she's very friendly, if spacey, and will often forget people she's met unless she's spent a considerable amount of time with them. For all her ditzy moments, however, she's an affectionate and upbeat dragon, and will chatter the day away if one will let her. Definitely not a listener! She'll often take off without her poor rider should something snag her attention, or at least take them along for an unexpected ride.
She's a little small for a green, but her speed is quite astounding. Whiplash would have been common back in the day for her rider... Kaiilath views Flights as an exhilarating and exciting challenge, rising often and frequently. She seems to like to experiment, often picking the same partners that gave her a good chase, and sometimes unexpectedly branching out with someone new. Spontaneity is the key with this green!
Lazulith is a simple, if not confused dragon, and one who can rarely make up her mind. Some would call her fickle, if human traits could be assigned to dragonkind. Sweet, kind, and even thoughtful, Lazulith is the perfect companion for a gentle soul -- just don't ask her any sort of question. It doesn't matter whether it's what she feels like eating tonight, or whether or not she likes someone, the answer will always be muddled, and she'll change her mind within seconds of giving an answer. Surprisingly, however, this doesn't seem to bother the green much. She's a good-natured dragon, albeit indecisive. In the end, she's learned to just not ask herself any questions and just go with her first instinct, because if she stops to think about it, nothing will ever get done. This makes her seem rather impulsive, at times, but those who know her realize it is for the best, and love her for the sweet thing she is.
In regards to her size and wingspan, Lazulith is a relatively normal dragon; she's almost perfectly average in every regard, and this seems to suit her just fine. It doesn't bother her that she's not super fast or super strong, maybe because she never thought about it as a bad thing. She's pretty complacent when it comes to flying in a wing, and answers orders easily enough, not bothered by even the most gruff or power-driven dragons -- no matter the command, she is more than willing to do so without a moment's hesitation. It's when she's not given commands that things start to go wrong. When fighting thread, no one can afford to hesitate, and unfortunately this is often what Lazulith is prone to doing. If the wingleader or wingsecond aren't giving her commands, she can't decide what to do, jumping between two or three courses of action, trying to decide which one is right, and end up doing nothing at all. She needs her rider to do so for her.
When it comes to communicating with other dragons, Lazulith is fairly social, enjoying other dragons company as well as other social activities such as swimming or basking. She's not known to be a hothead, although like anyone she's likely to have her disputes. Still, they never last long, especially not with a dragon's memory, and certainly not when Lazulith thinks about why she was mad in the first place, as that often results in her being indecisive of whether or not she should have been mad at all.

^^ One question, I think this was asked last time but I shall ask again; will entering this contest affect our chances in the next hatching, whenever that might be?

No, it will not. <3 Since the contest is more about your writing ability/creativity, where Hatchings are more if your character matches a dragon you don't know about.
