Both of those are my priests.
I just wanted to make this thread for other priests to share there knowledge, help out with others and teach new would-be-healers how to heal. When it comes to healing as a priest you can't just faceroll like a Druid or spam like a Paladin. Disc is more complicated then it looks and I've known people begin to fail at it since the Penance nerf that seemed so minuscule effected healing so much.
I pull about 3-4k healing on either one of my priests but I'm currently working on my Horde one because my alliance guild is kind of boring. If anyone's on The Venture Co. I'm the GM of and we're looking for just about everything.
So go on you healers, discuss.

I play priest but I only heal in pvp.

Both my priests are in their twenties, and only my Alliance one has been called on to heal in groups. It requires a lot of attention, because you have to make sure everyone's in your range and keep track of who's taking damage how fast, and who can heal themselves or not in a pinch.

I respectfully disagree on the fact that healing in this game as any class is nowhere near difficult anymore.

Hvymtlrocks man I hated healing in raids sooo much pressure Yeah, whenever I go in a dungeon/raid I'm always stressed, but when it's over I always wanna go again. mrgreen

TRANOiD I respectfully disagree on the fact that healing in this game as any class is nowhere near difficult anymore. It is if you're not used to healing classes, or to playing them while in groups xd I'm a huntard at heart, and among my casters I have more locks than priests, so healing is a bit of a challenge for me. I play a lot of draenei alliance side, so I do use Light of the Naaru every so often, but even then it's only reflexive to use it on myself. Hvymtlrocks man I hated healing in raids sooo much pressure I've been lucky, all the groups I've run my priest through have been totally cool with the fact that I'm not an experienced healer, and they've been patient and (mostly) forgiving when I let them die sweatdrop xd

I raid healed during preBC and it was a pain in the a**. Generally if someone other than the tank is dying its their own fault. So keeping the tank up isn't really all that hard and as a priest between POM & POH (especially with borrowed time) keeping a group topped off is easy. I do heal on occasion in heroics with my disc pvp spec and I never have any trouble (I'm too cheap to respec to a pve heal).

I remember that it used to be very difficult to get any toon started for healing. When I first hit 60 (and 70 not long after), my priest spent weeks farming normal instances and crafting gear. At 80, I literally went straight into heroics with some quested blues and greens. I even went into Naxx like that and had no issue healing. Healing for the most part is easy. Heck, even Mimiron hard mode was easy. Now if only our dps can figure out how to listen and we can possibly do H ToC10.

I has a little 16 priest, I should really level the poor guy sometime, he's looking so sad, but he doesn't have any boa gear. All my other toons have theirs... I guess that'll be my next big char. smile
