A standard Shinigami Academy classroom: extremely long desks placed on different levels in a semi-circle. At the bottom in the middle of the half-circle, the teacher's desk is standing, in front of a large blackboard. The room's formation tries to imitate ancient Greek theaters, the acoustics being excellent and enabling clear sound no matter where the students sit. In this particular classroom lectures about Shinigami are held, which explains the zanpakuto posters hanging from the walls, a Shinigami doll standing in the corner, a step-to-step guide on Soul Burial is placed directly above the exit and schemes of people performing kidou, flash step and similar drawn on the blackboard.

Not seeing anyone between his dorm room and the classroom really bothered James. He was running at nearly a full sprint to where he overheard that the classrooms would be the day before. Once in the building, he slowed down to a brisk walk while he was looking at the classroom info on the doors. Ok... where is Theory: Shinigami... come on... not that one... but! Yes, here we go.
Outside of the classroom, he once again checked himself over, straightening out his hair and uniform. Once he was ready he opened the door, and immediately bowed and said, "I'm sorry for being late, teacher." And of course, after a moment without a response, he looked up to see a room with no one in it. "Tsh... all of that rushing... oh well, at least I'm here now. Might as well take a seat right there in the front and center," he said to himself, once again admiring his luck.
In his seat, James began to study the posters upon the walls, the doll in the corner, and the drawings on the board. "Amazing, there are so many cool things that we are going to learn about in this class." His voice could barely hide his excitement for his future studies.

Aloe walked down the corridors to the classroom, as per the instructions she was following in her head. As she came to the doors, she stopped for a moment to think. "I wonder if anyone else is here yet. I think I'm a little early." She thinks silently to herself. Suddenly she remembers that she left James asleep in their room, far as she knew. "I hope james doesn't become late. Maybe I should have made sure he was awake before leaving. Ah, I'm sure he's too excited to sleep late on the first day. No need to worry."
Taking a deep breath, Aloe pushed through the doors into the classroom and walked toward the front seats. Just as she expected, the room was empty at this time. Although it seemed one person had come ahead of her. As she walked down to the seats, Aloe admired all the posters on the walls and the drawings on the blackboard, excited about what she'll be learning.
As she got to the front row of seats, Aloe finally noticed it was James who had gotten to class first. It didn't seem too surprising considering how eager Jame made himself out to be yesterday, but she could have sworn he was fast alseep when she left him. Wearing a bright smile, Aloe took up a seat next to James in the front row. "Well, someones eager I see." Aloe giggled as she teased James about his earliness, even though she was obviously rather early as well.

James watched Aloe enter the room and nearly get to her seat before she realized it was him. "Eager? Ha, I thought I was completely late. I ended up running the whole way here," James said in a easy-going manner. "But the real question is how did I beat you here? You had at least a good five minutes on me, if it was your leaving that woke me up. Did something hold you up or did you end up getting lost?" James asked slightly concerned for his roommate; he didn't want her to be getting into trouble because of a poor sense of direction or absent-mindedness. Those are the kinds of things that one's friends help them overcome for tasks like getting to class on time, and reminding one about homework.
"And by the way, the uniform looks good on you, Aloe," James finished honestly and simply. It wasn't anything more than a friendly compliment, since on a day like today, flirting was far from James's excited mind.

Yukiko hurried into the classroom, hoping to be early, or at least on time. Being late wouldn't be good for her. She was afraid to get into trouble. The shinigami academy student shut the door behind her and let out a sigh. Opening her eyes, she noticed two other students in the room. Her eyes widened and she flushed red in embarassment, not used to being around lots of people. Though, two wasn't really a lot to most people.
Looking around she saw the posters and equipment for the class. "Theory's class, Shinigami... Right?" She asked in her quiet, and nervous voice. She saw a female in the red uniform, and the male student in the blue. Eager to make at least a few friends Yuki bowed to them and greeted, "Good Morning,". With that, her face grew bright red and she stood up, walking straight to a seat in embarassment and sitting down. Looking to the front of the room she noticed she was on the third row from the bottom, not too far from the front to not be able to see, but then again, not too close to be noticed easily.
Embarassed by her earlier outburst, Yuki brought her hands to her face and covered it so no one could see how red it was. Though, to some others it could look like she was crying. 'Maybe I shouldn't have done that, they might think I was weird for saying that all of a sudden... Ahh, why must I be so quiet?' she contemplated to herself as she peeked through her fingers.

Kuro wandered through the school grounds, still rather drowsy and sluggish. The look on his face made it rather obvious that he was lost as he continuously glanced down at a sheet of paper in his hand, attempting to locate his classroom. It was the first day of school and he would prefer not to be late though the more he searched for the correct room the more likely it seemed that he wouldn't make it to his class in time. As he walked he couldn't help but wonder what the class itself would be like. A sense of excitement and anticipation grew inside of him as he thought about his first class at the academy.
It was then that he realized he was in the Theory wing of the school. "Finally...now I just have to find the right room and I will be fine. I just hope that I'm not too late. The last thing I need is to get detention for showing up late this early in the year. I really should have taken a chance to explore the building yesterday so that I at least would have had an idea of where to go." While chatting with himself he located the room labeled with a one and the words "Theory: Shinigami". He glanced down at the paper in his hand one final time to insure himself it was the correct class. Once convinced it was the right room he shoved the paper into his pocket and with a nervous sigh he opened the door and stepped through the threshold.
The room was rather large and spacious. Kuro's gaze drifted from the posters that littered the wall to the schemes of shinigami using kido and other techniques that he was sure he would learn over time. After taking in the details of the room, Kuro finally noticed the small group of students who had already arrived. "Ah, great. It seems that I managed to make it here on time. I thought I was screwed." He said to no one in particular with a nervous laugh as be began to make his way up a few levels of the classroom lined with desks. He found a spot that was a comfortable distance from the front of the room but not too far from the board. He pulled a chair away from a desk and sat down, resting his feet on the desktop. Kuro yawned and brushed hair out of his face as he waited for the rest of the students to arrive.

Sayuri had no difficulty in finding the classroom. Kaede's instructions were simple and exact, and now when they are hanging on the billboard of Dango common room, everyone should easily find the classroom. Sayuri almost entered the classroom. She has already pushed the door-knob, when she remembered that it would be more apropriate to knock first. For a moment she hesitantly stood there with door-knob in her hand. (This is ridiculous, I'm standing here like a robot, which has just recieved an error-message. Just go, go, go!' she incouraged herself and finely pushed the door. There were alredy four students inside. (Well, I can't avoid them for ever) she thought, took a big breath and headed towards them. 'Hello there', she said with unforced smile. She was suprised how confident she greeted them.

Aloe smiled at James and replied to why she may have been later than him. "Well, I stayed behind to ask Miss Yui for directions. And I didn't run like you did." Aloe stayed quiet about the surprise she got of being picked as a prefect. She didn't want to seem like she was trying to lord the honour over anyone by bringing it up, and figured everyone would find out when they were supposed to rather than by her telling everyone.
"And thank you. Your uniform looks good too." Aloe replied again. Her comment wasn't anything more than a friendly return of the previous friendliness.
She turned herself around to look at the other students that came into the class. She smiled brightly and waved at all of them. She wasn't one to raise her voice much, so she didn't try calling out in reply to everyone that had said hello, but her smile conveyed what her lack of words didn't. As she looked at the other students that came in, Aloe couldn't help but notice the one that had said hello first had her face in her hands. "Is she crying?" Aloe silently enquired.
She got up from her chair and bowed polietly to James. "Well, its nice to see you didn't become late. I hope you don't mind, but i'm just going to sit elsewhere." Aloe said with a smile and left James to his seat.
She walked up to the third row and found a seat next to Yukiko. Now she was closer, she could tell Yukiko wasn't crying, but wanted to make the effort to be friendly anyway. "Hi there." Aloe said softly but energetically to Yukiko as she sat down next to her. "Do you mind if i sit with you?" She was very sincere with her friendly attitude, not just making the effort because she thought the girl was upset.

Pacing briskly down the hall towards the first Theory class of the year, Tsubame fiddled with the last tie near the bottom of her ankle length hair. The silk ribbon was always slippery and for some reason it just didn’t want to stay in. After yet another slip, Tsubame gave up and slid the first tie towards the top of her hair down to the center and left it there. She would have been groomed to stellar perfection for class, but she habitually went for a ten mile run early in the morning. Although it was spring, the weather was humid and the mornings unusually warm, so unless coming to class a sweat soaked mess was acceptable, Tsubame had taken the time to wash up.
Remembering the class schedule, her little bath this morning was far from making her late. Coming to the door she eagerly peered inside and was delighted to see so many students already gathered. Entering the room with a soft smile, her eyes traced the walls quickly while taking in the various posters, and then continued forward. Always one to be attentive, she headed for the first row of seats and stepped behind the tall silvery haired student already present and took the seat beside him. “Excuse me,” Tsubame started, “I don’t believe we’ve met. My name’s Takanashi Tsubame.” Following her soft voice was her natural smile as she bowed her head lightly.

Finally, she had calmed down, her breathing and heart rate slowed back to normal. Yuki smiled, convincing herself that greeting them was a good thing. Noticing the voice of the female student she had greeted, she quickly turned her head in the direction of the voice. Her face flushing red in embarassment that someone actually noticed it, but a small smile managed to escape. "Umm... Yes, yes you can," Yuki returned the friendly attitude to the Aloe. 'I'm missing something....' she pondered trying to recall what else one was to do when meeting someone. Name.
"I'm... Morino Yukiko... Nice... to meet you," Yuki spoke in a quiet voice. After telling Aloe her name, she noticed a few people enter the classroom, her eyes trailed to the door to memorize each face entering the room. Then, Yuki's attention quickly returned to the girl who asked to sit beside her.

Aloe smiled at Yukiko, even letting out a very quiet giggle as she saw how red her face went. She made sure she was sat neatly on the chair with her hands on her lap, one on top of the other. "Nice to meet you too, Morino Yukiko. My name is Aloe Tsuwamono. You can just call me Aloe though." She was aware that some people found it rude to called by their first name, and since Yukiko didn't specify, she was compelled to ask. "May I ask what you would prefer I refer to you by?" All the while, her friendly smile remained unchanged and completely honest. She hoped that her acting normal and friendly would help relieve Yukiko's hard to miss embarassment.
As she talked, Aloe heard another student enter the classroom, but didn't turn her head to check. She didn't want to look rude to Yukiko. Though she herself didn't mind that Yukiko had taken a quick look away.

Trace had read the billboard and found the theory class. Before opening the door little one had began to check his clothes to see if he had anything on them. He was pleased to see that he was perfectly fine and was ready to enter the room. He opened the door and stepped inside his classroom. After walking in, he chose a seat that was right next to James. He figured he would have a better chance of making it in this school with friends to talk with. He turned around, his spiky snow white hair sticking up as straight as it could be. A smile came across his features as the boy turned around. He had to look up just to see the male's face. He stuck his right hand out next to James and said,'' hi,I'm Trace Tazuka''. He waited for the tall guy to respond to him.

Did I just get ditched? James asked mentally with a chuckle as he watched Aloe leave to sit with another student. Something seemed to be wrong with that girl who was sitting a couple rows above him, but decided that Aloe would be able to handle the situaton by herself for now. She's got a kind soul... he thought idly still looking towards the back of the classroom.
By the time he was shaken out of his own world, two other students were sitting on both sides of him and introducing themselves. I must be popular all of a sudden, he thought with a grin as he tried to catch up to the situation.
The first was Takanashi Tsubame, and the first thing he noticed about her was her eyes. White, brown, and green mixed in a captivating way, complete with the dark feminine lashes, above a small nose and nice lips. "Hey there Takanashi Tsubame! I'm James Zachary Garath, but you can call me James. What name do you prefer to go by?" he asked finishing the polite introduction. And it was right afterwards, that the second player in the act of the front row of the class entered.
Trace Tazuka was a kid with white spiked hair, and seemed to be too young for the academy and its uniform, but for all James knew Trace was the same age if not older than him. Time doesn't necessarily flow the same for everyone here in Soul Society, he reminded himself before making his second introduction. "The name is James Zachary Garath. Just call me James, alright Trace?" James said in the usual friendly manner, and wondered how he'd be able to juggle two separate conversations like this for a moment.
Then an idea hit him and he just acted on it, "Trace Tazuka, meet Takanashi Tsubame." And with that James was pleased. Simple solutions did tend to be the best answers to potential problems afterall.
((That was kind of mean setting him up for a double introduction, lmao. Oh well, now its just gonna be a three-way chat until the teacher comes in. ninja skills ))

Flushing lightly, noticing her quiet giggle, thinking she had done something wrong. "Aloe-san, you can call... me... whatever you wish to call me," Yuki smiled. 'Yes! Finally, I made a friend!' She thought, letting a childish grin come out and show itself to the world. Noticing herself get carried away, she cleared her throat, and sat back up. "I wonder, when will the sensei arrive to class?" She pondered outloud.

(( Gah, you people are so ambiguous with positions...I'm going to have to try establishing some sort of image here ))
Ryan had followed Tsubame into the room and let her sit down first before sitting on her right and looking at the front, wondering where the teacher was. The seating reminded him of a theater in Regina where he'd seen a production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, which had been one of the few plays he had seen - and one of his favorites. He didn't really bother with introducing himself - pointless really, there was no one in here he trusted much other than Tsubame anyway.
