Personality . Adrian is obsessively curious about anything and everything he sees. It seems to be a trait etched deep into his character as even before he learns to speak he will be indiscriminately touching and taking whatever is within reach. As far as respect, to the face of any authority figure he will be unquestioningly obedient and respectful. Without a doubt, though, his deep curiosity and sense for adventure will overtake him and he will be hopelessly sidetracked in one way or another. A failure is not a failure in Adrian’s eyes unless he was unsuccessful in exploring every available option.
Around other children, Adrian attempts viciously to assume a leadership role, whether he is conscious of it or not. He prefers to be in charge of all situations, as this removes most chances of fear or uncertainty speaking up and biting him in the bum. When he feels powerful or useful, he tends to feel more confident and act more single-mindedly. When he is below another in rank, he slips into his respective and subservient state during which he is often uncertain of himself and nervous to misstep. If he has sustained a leadership position and then is challenged, he is liable to become illogical and angry.

Personality . Rosie is a 22-year-old girl born and raised in Barton. She is shy as a general rule and doesn’t like to draw attention to herself, if at all possible. She’s a bit socially awkward, and people tend to make her uncomfortable or nervous if she’s never met them before. In that same line, she tends to show signs of a neurotic personality, being easy to upset and quick to get flustered or stressed. People are not likely to learn about Rosie’s past until they’ve known her quite a long time, as she is a flagrant introvert and prefers the world know only what it absolutely has to about her. She is also not one to trust easily and has been known to push people away if she feels they are becoming too close. Rosie tends to avoid pain (especially emotional pain) at all costs, and thus forcing herself into unhappiness and antisocial behavior. All of the negativity aside, though, she is an extremely empathetic and compassionate person. She tends to sympathize with others whether she wants to or not, and may briefly break from her shell to offer comfort or a reassuring gesture. Her compassion is often directed at those weaker and smaller than herself and others, likely a reflection of her own tortured childhood and a deep desire to help others away from the lonely life she leads. It is likely because of this fact that she enjoys the company of children over those her own age.
Past . During her early childhood, she had a bit of an issue making friends due to her shyness and overall petite frame, and so she began to retreat from socialization at a very young age. Comic books became her comfort and her best friends. Video games let her see a world much better than her own or raised her mood by simple Schadenfreude. As she grew, her interest in other people diminished, and she no longer cared who thought what about her. Her current love-interest is her Dungeons and Dragons DM, who doesn’t seem to catch on to any of her weak, awkward flirtations. This is a large factor in how she is slowly beginning to realize that perhaps she is more lonely than she originally believed. She is trying now to expand her social horizons in ways she is familiar with such as internet gatherings and comic book conventions, and she recently received a raise at her rather pleasant small-town bakery job. Life is beginning to look up for Rosie, even if she sometimes struggles to leave her fantasy world.
