handel is a vaguely ornery spirit who is interested in creeping on the living. he's terribly awkward, and doesn't really have much empathy for other gladiers. he often tends to be pensive, and follows people out of a half formed desire for companionship, but more often than not, he's consumed by his moods and the venture turns sour. don't say you're chilly around him- he will offer you his scarf, and you will get a lovely view of the gaping neck wound that killed him when he takes it off. if you react poorly at the sight of it, he will more often than not get angry and leave, but if you manage not to look at it too frequently or flinch, you'll rise in his estimation. he's self absorbed and somewhat touchy about it, but if you manage to hold civil conversation with the dead gladier, you have a staunch, if not grumpy, friend on the ethereal plain.

personality
rupert loves many things, but what he loves the most is the colour pink. if you're pink, rupert adores you to the point where you may want to sleep with one eye open at night. he's a bouncing ball of barely-suppressed cheerful optimism, and can talk about anything you'd like (or wouldn't like) for hours. for some people, this is cute and endearing, but for most of the world, it's just a nuisance. after prolonged exposure to rupert, one may feel the urge to sedate him, or in more serious cases, hit him with a rock. rupert can't help that he's annoying! he's just expressing how much he loves you.

personality
milo is doomed to be the downer at every party. a technophile gladier that both loves human inventiveness and despairs of their advancements over gladierkind (curse those thumbs!), milo is an innovative inventor surrounded by people who have no idea what he's talking about. cursed with a whole lot of brilliance, but no social skills or people to relate to, milo considers that he's surrounded by sheep, and spends most of his free time moodily listening to emo music on the headphones that he built from scratch. he's skinny, sullen and monochromatic, lonely, frustrated, and fatalistic. too cowardly to make good his multiple threats to commit suicide, or at least bleed over everything, too spineless to actually make people call him by his chosen name (xmilo), milo sulks a lot and wishes that gladierkind would do more than fight and maybe, he doesn't know, develop nuclear capabilities or something actually interesting.

personality
lune is somewhat lackadaisical. he sleeps a lot, but when he does go out, it's at night. he has a strong aversion to sunlight and a completely nocturnal sleeping schedule, bright lights tend to blind him easily. he's pretty laid back about just about everything, fairly unmotivated unless forced to be excited, and able to entertain himself quite well. he enjoys philosophizing, since it doesn't require much exertion on his behalf, and when he gets the chance, he likes to chat with the odd gladier about his ideas. when he is motivated to do something though, he does it thoroughly, presumably so he won't have to do it again in the immediate future. despite his flippant attitude towards everything under the sun, lune can really be quite friendly if the mood takes him, and cares about people who bother to get close to him, even if he isn't exactly sure how to show it.

metis loves nicknames because when people have nicknames, it means they're loved! unless they're mean nicknames, in which case, she totally doesn't want them. )8>
personality
metis is a spunky dynamo, never standing still, always wanting to meet people, always planning something. she's not at all like her father, and she's full of confidence, sure that her ideas are better and she's the bee's knees. she likes people though, and she loves to get to know them, especially awkward people and nerds, because she thinks they're adorable. she's big on the environment and loves the ocean especially, stating that all animals are her friends (even monsters).

metis's somewhat depressing daddy. he spoils her and her siblings to no end, as he feels he has to make up for bringing them into this cruel, vicious world somehow. his favourite of her siblings is her brother, marco, but he's taught all three of his kids to have a healthy disregard of the Man and a strange fondness for nightwish and avenged sevenfold that somewhat clashes with metis's other musical love, the beach boys.
nerissa
metis's totally rad mommy dearest. a surfer chick by trade, she's instilled a great love of nature and a somewhat hippy-dippy outlook on life into metis. she's taught metis about the ocean, and metis thinks that no other gladier is as cool as her mom, though she doesn't quite understand how her mom and her dad got together.
thetis
metis's twin sister, metis likes to think she's very close to thetis. she claims she was born a few seconds earlier, and therefore thetis is her younger sister, but words words words etc.
marco
metis's little brother. the runt of the litter, he tends to take after his dad and seems to be perenially depressed. metis tries to fix this every day, attempting to make him more popular and include him in her activities and attempts to save the environment.

personality
an incorrigible flirt, romeo's got an electric personality and no shame. he's musically talented and he'll write you a love song, but he won't wait till you ask for it. he's got a bunch of bad pickup lines, a whole heaping headfull of idealism, and likes to think of himself as a rock n' roll bad boy with no rules and no worries. he's really actually kind of awkward around women when he's not flirting with them, and he's sort of a nerd, though he won't listen to anyone who tells him that.

are a little confusing, shouldn't one only have one name to be referred to in order to avoid confusion?
personality
sent from an outer space community of gladiers to monitor the spiraglades, celestine is a serious young circinus on a data gathering mission. her people are depending on her to tell her about the spiraglades so they can eventually negotiate for a very valuable resource the spiraglades possess and their own planet does not: dandelions. she has a very high opinion of her own abilities, a strong work ethic, and a determined streak a mile wide. she never jokes and is always trying to seem more grown up than she feels, resulting in a rather cold and distant outward appearance. inside, she is fascinated by the spiraglades and is very interested and happy to be there, but she's afraid she won't seem to be taking her job seriously if she expresses this. thus, she's seeking to find a representative of spiraglade gladiers to observe and simply do her job as thoroughly as possible rather than explore for herself and have a little fun.
