Something similar happened to me too. I let my friend borrow my MFoMT so as to introduce her to harvest moon. I warned her not to overwrite the file where I'm married to Cliff and about to have my baby, but guess what? She accidentally overwrote it with her own file. crying It took me forever to get that far dammit!

I dont like letting my friends borrow my games...
Sometimes if i dont like my game, ill let someone borrow it, but now that my person is dating Skye (( XD )) i wont let them come near it

Yea i trusted her cuz she is familer with it and shes my bff and im careful enough to ask what to do cuz im soo slow at getting stuff XD but NO she had to do whatever D:

I am always afraid of my files being saved over so I don't let anyone borrow them because well in Friends of Mineral Town it took me 7 YEARS to get married! Enough said.

I normally let my friends borrow my games but when it comes to harvest moon, I just tell them NO.
I did that to myself once by mistake so I know how annoying it is... sad

I'm so sorry that's happened cry
Hopefully you can eventually get back to where you were. I've done the opposite to myself a couple of times with my Harvest Moon game. I'd go pretty far in the game, then I switch it off WITHOUT saving. it was like some kind of bad reflex or something...
It's happened more than enough too sadly. I've had to start over a whole week sometimes. gonk
People think I'm mean because I don't let them play my games, I don't think I am though. I used to, and then someone did something in the game when I wasn't watching them. confused
(It wasn't Harvest Moon, but still) It was a younger kid too that kept bugging me about playing my game. I had to hide it from her view(or not bring it along with me), and tell her no the next time I saw her.
NEVER AGAIN! -twitches-
