Recently I've been given cause to take a look at the RPs in this subforum, and frankly there is a lot more quality in these RPs than I expected, certainly not the stereotypical two sentence RPs you find over in Barton. What's more surprising than that is how close to being Level 2 many of them are. Now there is definitely improvement needed before they can get there, but I would bet good money most of you running RPs have the time and ability to make those changes.

Now, now, maybe you're worried that the higher levels are a considerably slower community, well I'll tell you this; You're already going, you've got players, you've got people. Bring them with you. Levels 2 and 3 are slower because of that intimidating aspect of elitism, something we're not portraying on purpose.

So I ask you, why not aim a little higher?

If you choose to do so here are some threads full of advise

Then once you've prettied up your game and think you're ready to make a move, drop your link over at Request RP Graduation

So then, I wish you all luck in your adventures, even if you're content with your place in the world. Nothing wrong with being happy with what you got.

Ain't it?

Some recent discussion between we crew has resulted in the agreement that an RP's level assignment, though primarily based on the quality of the RP setup, is also effected by the quality the players put into their play; Which means that if you really want to get up to Level 2, or maybe even Level 3 (It is totally possible if you put in the effort), you will need to get your players to help out too.

For Level 2 we define our expectations as follows:
Quote:
Intermediate RPs may have some common grammar or spelling mistakes, but these mistakes do not interfere with understanding the setup. All Intermediate RPs use standard punctuation, especially quotation marks ("") and no run-on sentences. All Intermediate RPs capitalize at the beginnings of sentences and for proper nouns.

More simply put, spellcheck, and good grammar gets you most of the way.

Good luck, and good games!

ps: we will of course be looking at the most recent gameplay so don't worry about what's already happened
