Let's talk about ALL THE NONSENSICAL THINGS IN POKEMON THAT BREAK THE UNIVERSE'S OWN RULES!

Seriously, there are things that make no sense and should not happen, no matter how much weed Game Freak's been smoking.

Here's a few that I've been able to remember not making sense.


-Ghost Pokemon being born from eggs. Wouldn’t that make them the mother’s alive form, instead of ghosts? Are they even alive?
-How does Diglett/Dugtrio use Scratch/Cut/Slash attacks?
-Eggs ruined the backstories for many Pokémon. One egg equals six smaller eggs? Didn’t Exeguttor’s heads drop off and gather together to become Execcute? And Magnemite/Diglett gather together in threes to become Magneton/Dugtrio respectively?
[And suddenly, I’m reminded of the scene from PMD, where you rescue Diglett and then he goes flying for the first time, and they never show you its feet.]



Nintendo/Game Freak broke their own game! XDD

[Also, if this thread belongs in one of the other subforums instead, I'm sorry. I wasn't sure. sweatdrop I also didn't check if there was another like it. >.>]

Oh yea, I thought up another one while I was crapping doing my best to write out a randofic before I go back and edit the hell out of it when I'm more inspired.


Cubone/Marowak hatching. They say that Cubone takes the skull of its mother/parent, and that it has never been seen without its skull. However, you can hatch Cubones, and they all have skulls! Where are these skulls really coming from, then!?


Seriously, most of the ones I come up with revolve around eggs.
Pichu also ruined the anime's "Yellow Forest", since that was a baby Pikachu, not an abnormally small one. XD At least, I think it was a baby. If not, then disregard this comment.

Hey, if Mewtwo came off of Mew, who a lot of people think would have a girl gender, then how come Mewtwo's been given a male gender? XD Okay, maybe that's a weak thing to say doesn't make much sense.

EH!? I DIDN'T GET TO SEE THAT IN THE AMERIRELEASE. stressed Stupid Americans, skimping on our fandoms.... I SO would have remembered seeing Lati babies. D:< I only remember seeing her kissing Ash on the cheek as they left.

How some lightweight Pokemon can carry their trainers with Fly is also another thing that doesn't make sense. I seriously doubt that Murkrow was strong enough to carry Silver to various places in Johto for prolonged periods of time. >.>;
Or Pidgeys for that matter.

But that defeats the point of callin' em ghosts! XD

My friend noted this the other day---
Shiny Gastly's gas is the color of Koffing's body, and Koffing's gas is the color of Gastly's body.

I think that's what he meant to say. He made four comparisons and I felt my brain spin because it was late. xP

Yes, let's! XD Like, Surf, and this giant wave of water suddenly appears outta nowhere, and you're in the desert region? xDDD
I can only imagine that the water Pokemon call up the water from pipes/underground, and then it rips through it to become a giant wave that drowns everything.
And they only *just* fixed the "lolurpartnerdrownstoo" glitch. Though flying Pokemon should have a chance to dodge. >.> Like, not always/only while using Fly, but like, give them a 25% chance to dodge this giant wave of water.

It's even more fun, all the surfing Pokemon, out in the Orre Region and you're nowhere near Phenac. xD


Scientists should have also figured out how to make epic bombs/fireproof suits out of the intestinal/stomach linings of fire Pokemon. Seriously, there HAS to be people out there who are doing autopsies, and that's how the Pokedex can record all this info about them!

The number one rule of Pokémon:

Games =/= anime.

The games came first in early 1996 with Red and Green. Once they proved popular, the anime showed up about a year later in mid-1997, so really, it's the anime that's incorrect. But yes, there are differences, but that's more due to technical and marketing issues. If you're curious, Bulbapedia has a nice article on the differences between the games and the anime.
