".......wait..." Asaiyo wondered how she could know that, if anything. She just smacked, him, how was he going to take her word for it?
"I have no idea how you could be related to Zensekai, he's a jillion times older than you are." Ky shurgged, finally laughing at Angela smacking Des on her way out. "I like her, consider it pay back for the ice earlier."

Angela sounded mad. Really mad. Toshi frowned at this and tried his best to follow her voice. Even if it was rather loud at the moment, it was still difficult to follow when he had no idea what else was in the room. "Angela? Are you well? You should hit Des again just to be sure."

Angela stopped and stared at Toshi. Toshi...just...made...a...joke.
She blinked once. Then again. "That's a really good idea," she decided.
She walked back to Des, who cowered slightly. "Don't listen to him! This place is clearly driving him insane!"
She punched him in the arm and then looked thoughtful. "Hmm. That actually does make me feel better," she said. She gave Des a devious grin. "Perhaps I should do it once more."
"No wonder your father thinks you're evil," he whined.
She glared and punched him in the gut this time, causing him to double over with a wheezing cough.
Angela shot a smile at Toshi though she knew he couldn't see it. "I'm sure now, Toshi. I feel much better now."

"How did you come by this piece of information?" Asaiyo asked Angela, while wondering why Des took that kind of abuse.
"You're still on about who your parents are Asaiyo? Well I'm sure there's someone other than Zenny you can ask in here, they're immortals after all." Ky glared at him, since she was on Angela's side.

"Because Zen told me," Angela said, her expression going said. "Over our mental connection. The last time we spoke. And about three seconds before he asked me watch out for your sorry arse."
She sighed. "He didn't specify how you were related, just that you were. Satisfied?"

"Next time she's angry, I'll make sure sure she vents her frustration on you," Des muttered, rubbing his gut. She was kind of a shrimp but she really had a very solid right hook.

"Not at all, it doesn't explain anything." Asaiyo glared at Ky, wanting an explaination.
"Like I said there's someone we can ask while we're in here...maybe it'll know a way to revive Zen as well..."
"It?" Asaiyo asked, wondering why the use for the pronoun.
"Yes, it... it's outside. I'll take you guys, since the elevators will take ages."
In a second, the group was standing on ice cold glass like the type that covered Zen. Only nothing was under it's transpaent surface except for a charged static that bounced on it's underside to qualize their weight on it.
Mist covered everything else. Rain fell ten feet above the ground and faded from sight, without touching any of the members. The white mist, the dark and storm overhead seemed to stretch as far as possible with the exception of the lit dark outline of a skycraper city behind them, and a big black pit a few hundred yards ahead.

Toshi, about to reply to Des, they were yet again warped some place else. How did he know this? He could feel the moisture in the air, the sound of rain overhead (although he didn't feel any), as well as the cold radiating from the floor beneath them. This really was an odd place. "I have a feeling this place looks as strange as it feels," he muttered to no one in particular.

"Yes well, looks get boring after a while and you get used to the dark don't you?" A very loud, high male's disembodied voice boomed from the dark crater in the landscape, which nothing could see inside.
"I was wondering when you pions would come to see me, Zensekai is so rude and forgets to bring his friends home.. I wonder why?"
"Who is that Ky?" The prince asked her, annoyed by the voice's sarcasm.
"Who? I wouldn't call it a man..." Ky looked to Des and Angela, thinking about something.
"Am I an immortal? Hmm... maybe, could be..." the voice sneakered.

"You sound nearly annoying enough to be one," Angela muttered. She wondered how long this thing had been alive. And if this is what happened to everyone who lived for so long. How depressing.
Des elbowed her lightly. "Shut up," he whispered. He realized Ky was looking at them thoughtfully. "What is it?" he asked her.

"Do you recognize it? Zen thinks this thing came from another universe... I was just hoping you'd know." Ky lied.
"Oh, I bet she thinks I'm a bad example for you all. A what not to do for immortals? Well, good luck... you never know huh?
Zen sure picked a colorful lot to grope this time. You're quite cute, calling me annoying lady."

Toshi cringed as a rather loud, booming voice began to speak to them. He quickly covered his ears, but he'd heard what it had said. "Yes, darkness is rather soothing sometimes."

"That's not quite what I meant," Des said to Ky. "You were giving us an odd look. Why?"
"Fortunately Des is the only immortal here," Angela said, glancing at the red head. "As far as I know. Hopefully he learns his lesson well. Because you are, quite honestly, the most annoying...er...crater....I've ever met. Not that Des can get much more irritating than he already is anyway so I'd imagine he's safe..."
She paused for a moment, thinking back over what the...thing...had said. "And Zen never groped any of us!" she protested suddenly. He had fallen in her lap...and wriggled against her in a rather unintentionally obscene way. But he hadn't actually groped her...

"Soothing, but then it gets boring... like everything gets boring. Do you get bored often?" The voice asked Toshi, then went on to his other subject.
"Sure sexy, if that's what you want to think. Pissed me off that Zensekai got sucked into your world, damn those Powers, stealing my amusement like that.... you know, if I actually cared."
"Zensekai once told me, the fear of every immortal is represented by.... it...." Ky told Des, unsure how to elaborate, I was just wondering if you ever met... something like it..."
"Angela, it's not a crater... it's in the crater. What it is though, no one knows.
Zensekai calls it Aetra, or Atra in plan English...
it means in his langauge....
'the darkness.'" Ky looked over at them, uncomfortably.
"Guessing about me again? Want to play hot and cold? I can tell you you're cold just like that! I'm clearly a psychic, I was right huh?"
The Voice laughed.
