So this is just a curious question I have: has your sexuality affected how you feel about religion, or your religion in general?
Please answer the post with two things: your sexuality and religion. And if you like please explain if your sexuality has made a difference on what your religion is or how you feel about religion/certain religions in general.
This is not a place to bash religions, just to discuss if one's sexuality sometimes affects how they view religion in general.

nope. if anything, the fathers at my church almost drove me away from god what with them sayin that i was going to hell (but apparently i'm more of a sinner than just my sexuality)
still, they haven't effected each other. i prefer keeping them separate when i think about them.

Sexuality: Bisexual Religion: Catholic - Protestant
I am a member of mutiple churches, I will say the Catholic religion is very strict and very limited to what they accept, and if they ever found out my orientation, I'd be banned from the church.
The protestant church I go to, I dont know how they would ....take it. This church is very fun and happy, they listen and do not judge people. They are always makking sure you are happy. I favor this church over my Catholic church. -St. Lukes

Sexuality: Gay Religion: Neo-Buddhism
Most of my views are reflected towards human enlightenment. Many Protestant and Catholic views seem to alarm me, because at times it seems hypocritical. Many idealism within them seem to contradict alot, and in some cases causes great confusion or great misinterpretation. In my view, Humans are humans, and no matter how sinned the soul, it can still find redemption. There are no consequences for living out your life except the ones that are made by your actions. You are allowed to live however you choose, and that depicts however your soul will mature. But even one who has committed horrible crimes can atone and find salvation. Sorry didnt mean to go off on the idealism of a lecture theory. As far as the basis of sexuality vs religion, religion, in some cases, tells you what sexuality you are supposed to be, however, they can not tell you what sexuality you are. Most ppl in religion discard the ideal sexual tenses because in their views, if their God was so disdainful against it, then they would not be alive. Many see as a fact that in truth their God created this and even if it was a sin or whatever, they see that their God "love" them and hence see it as a truth to dedicate themselves to that "love".

sexuality: Bi religion: Satanic (as defined by Anton LeVay)
I grew up Unitarian with a gay minister....so, both religion and orientation fall under the 'ya, sure, what ever makes you happy' conversations.

sexuality: bisexual religion: tolerant agnostic
I don't think that my sexuality has changed the way i believe, but it has changed how i view religion and law together as a whole, and how patterns of discrimination and intolerance work.

sexuality: bisexual religion:Christian My sexuality has effected my religion but in the best way possible because it has shown me how two faced and greedy some churches are. I say this because they preach about love and kindness but if a gay person died they would simply say oh they are burning in hell without actually knowing anything about the individual. Also I would say because they say its so sinful ect and yet act like they dont sin themselves and forget that the Bible says that all sin is counted the same in Gods eyes. Also that the Bible says well im not gonna type it out but John 3:16. I also have noticed how blinded people are when someone says they are a christian they will agree with anything the person says. (cough bush) I think they need to be reminded not to judge. A quick clip from Queer as Folk to sum up what im saying http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYHeeBHxm54

Sexuality: Lesbian Religion: Wiccan
>.< I loved that video. Now that's how you tell off a priest and in so much style. I have never believed in god though I believe in angels. So yeah that whole saying "I wasn't in church today cause I was busy practicing witch craft and becoming a Lesbian" is me in all it's glory. So pretty much my sexuality hasn't affected my religion cause even before I knew I was Lesbian which I found out when I was 6 or 7 but before that I never believed in god.

Even though [a Jew] has sinned, they are still [called] Israel [a Jew].
PIRKE AVOT 2:4
Hillel said: Do not separate yourself from the community.
even though according to the torah i have sinned, i am still g-d's child, i believe i will be forgiven, my god would not punish some one for love
