The morning was bright and beautiful, as most days were in the fields.
Ivy was running the perimeter of the fence, vines of his namesake already wrapping about his long legs.
He began to slow a bit as he neared the homesteads of the rest of the ponies.
Eventually he came to a slow trot and settled down underneath the shade of a maple tree whose branches draped over the fencing into the pasture.
Ivy's gaze fell upon his sister and cousin, Eve and Clover emerging from their home.
He contemplated for a moment about leaping up and darting over to surprise Eve, but she already had a quite a scare when she awoke this morning so he let the thought slip away.
Instead, he rolled over onto his back, stretching his limbs.

 Cherry walk all alone on the wonderful Sunday, her friends all have chores,she has no one to play with.
Now she off to find more friend.
After few minutes, she got tired and laid down.
She braided her hair and look at the blue sky.
She said to herself " It would be wonderful to have a friend to talk to now ."
Because she's too tired,she could easily sleep.
She was able to sleep until a voice called to her, it sounded like a male pony.

Ivy couldn't help but notice a burst of colour from the corner of his eye, although it appeared to be a distance away.
He rolled back onto his stomach, legs splayed awkwardly before him.
He squinted his eyes as he started beyond the shade of the maple tree and spotted another pony of pink with dark swirls and even darker hair.
He jumped up, landing front legs first, and broken into a canter to meet this pony.
Ivy knew he had seen this one before, but he wasn't sure he knew much about her... Or even her name.
He called out once he drew nearer, slowing to a steady walk,
"Hey! Its far too pretty a day to be sleeping 'round here!"

Cherry opened her eyes when she heard the the wonderful voice again.
She got up and saw a pony that he seen before,but from where,she tried to remember, but she couldn't.
She answered him as polite as she could,feeling so shy.
" It is a wonderful day, lying here seeing the shapes of clouds, though I'm a bit lonely. By the way,I'm Cherry, you?"
As she asked, she felt a weird feeling.

Ivy trotted over, a broadly yet friendly smile across his face.
He peered down at the female, almost absorbed by the swirl patterns on her pink coat.
"I'm Ivy. And you are no longer lonely, for I shall keep your company!"
He circled around Cherry, settling down a comfortable distance from her right side.
He craned his neck upwards, scrunching his face while he pondered the fluffy clouds.
"If you turn you head," he spoke while twisting his neck to the side, "and make it poofier, that one there looks like.. well.."
He stopped, righting his neck and head, "Well, I guess it looks just like a cloud."

Cherry enjoys Ivy's attention, she knows she had a new friend.
She pointed out to the sky , where she found group of clouds.
The sky was clear for her to see the clouds made up a funny figure.
Looking back at Ivy , she felt so shy .
Wondering why he seemed so familiar.'Should I ask him?'She thought for a second.
"Have we seen before?You seemed so familiar," she asked,breaking the silence between them.
Waiting for his answer she tried to recall her memory of the time she might have seen him before.

The cream colour pony blinked, his expression suddenly very passive.
He racked his brain, trying to recall if he had indeed met this lovely creature before now.
Ivy turned slightly to regard her, "I know I've seen you around the fields, but I do not believe we've actually become acquainted until now."
He grinned at her, still probing into his memories.
Had they met before, he couldn't be sure as his recollections always seemed to be off.
Quietly, he turned his attentions back to the sky, but sitting still proved to be a challenge.
Ivy fidgeted a bit here and there, his gaze wandering, across the sky, along the fencing of the area, over the fields...
Until he caught sight of a flower peeking up just to his right.
He swiveled around, and gently plucked it with his mouth, then turned back to Cherry and carefully laid it before her.
"No need to be so quiet, now. Your in good company - I promise."

Cherry blushed and smiled a little, she is glad that she met someone as nice as Ivy.
She picked up the flower and thanks Ivy.
She's starting to get use to Ivy's company.
After a long rests,she felt like walking so she got up to her legs and with a smile still on her face,she asked"Ivy,would you like to go for a walk? Or a race?"
Her legs was itching for a walk or a race.
She tidy up her hair and looked at Ivy for answer.

He felt as though he might explode with delight!
Movement was Ivy's sort of thing!
"Why don't we begin with a walk and you can tell me about yourself?"
He took a few steps to stand next to her, smiling the whole time.
Ivy shook his tail a bit, unable to hide his excitement at the mention of enjoying the wide expanse of grass.

Cherry giggled when she noticed Ivy's excitement.
The breeze air swept the grass gently.
"Well, there isn't much about me. I like walking,playing,and make friends."
Cherry felt wonderful walking in the field.
Suddenly,she can't move her legs.
"Help!My legs can't move. I think it got stuck!" she cried.

Ivy smiled at her, she seemed very sweet and all, like a pony he would remember..
He blinked, swinging around to Cherry's side and bending his neck lower to peer at ground where her hooves were stuck.
What a fool he was! Allowing her to step right into a mud pit!
Thinking fast, he said, "Wait here and I'll return with something to pull you out!"
Ivy darted off to the nearest part of the fence full speed.
He gripped into one of the wood planks held in place by two notches and tug it free.
He then lifted it in his mouth and galloped back to Cherry, offering her the opposite end.
"Gfab onto tfis!" he said in amuffled voice, speaking around the plank.
He then prepared to pull her out but digging his hooves into the ground, the vines at his legs planting themselves firmly into the grass.

Cherry quickly grab the other end of the plank.
She lighten her body to make it easy for him to pull.
She noticed that Ivy is pulling as hard as he could.
That made her feel she need to collaborate more.
"Onfe more tfy!"she told in an unclear way.
She lighten her body even more.Now it's time for Ivy to pull.

He bit down hard, splintering the wood some, then carefully began to back up, pulling Cherry from the sinkhole of mud.
"Mrrrrrrrrrrghh!!"
Ivy tugged as gently as he could, his eyes squeezed shut as he mustered all his strength.
He heard a sort of slimy popping sound as the mud released its grip from Cherry, and he tumbled backward.
He dropped the plank and ended up on his back, his limbs splayed all directions.

Cherry finally got out of the mud pit.
She landed on the ground next to Ivy.
"Thanks for helping me,you're a wonderful friend."
She knew Ivy was tired from the pulling so she decided just to sit.
She closed her eyes.
She was so glad to meet a friend like Ivy.
