This is the 6th Round of the Rewards system! WINNER:
RULES: Vote for people who have been helpful in the clan! If they inspired you, helped you in the forums, assisted you in a zOMG. VOTE! You may vote for as many people as you like! Don't be afraid to put in some votes early and add more later! Also, by just placing a vote, you will get an extra point in the tally. Vote by commenting in this thread!
PRIZES! We will award 1-3 picks of anything on the prizes list to the people with the most votes! If you won the contest in the past 4 contests then you will not receive the large reward, but you can still get a smaller prize. This is to make sure a variety of people win each month!
In addition to the large rewards we will raffle several smaller prizes off! These will be given randomly to anyone and everyone who has received vote, has donated to the clan, etc!
SCORING: Each month you receive one point per vote you get, one point if you voted, one point if you donated to the clan, and one point for posting in the clan in this period!
DATES Voting will remain open until the end of August, then votes will be tallied and winners announced!

You can always vote for everyone. I am unsure if I will allow these people to win the big prize yet... Actually I want some feedback. If I allow people to win again, then we're likely to have the same people winning a lot, and I prefer to recognize new people. But it's been 5 months for some of us since we won. O: What do people think, should I continue giving the BIG prize to new people each time and let older winners get smaller prizes? or should I open it right up again every few months? I think that sounds just about right, Elfy. I'm sure non of the winners are selfish and want the BIG prizes. I think it is fair that people who haven't won yet should be getting the majority of prizes. It's like, if 'Plasmafire'... wink ... won 4 months consectively - would you continue to give him BIG prizes? Your the captain after all... Wait.. This is our current plan! Keep it the same, we've had no issues with it in the past. But, after 5 months when they may win once again, the prize should be...say.. a little cheaper?

The way I see it, new people and even older members, like me, who dont get enough votes to win need to assert ourselves to get the votes to let us win. If we dont, then its our own fault that we dont win.
I think the people who get out there and do a lot for the clan and help people in the game deserve to win, but not every month. The way you have it set up now is kind of like the way the government is trying to do things. Youre always trying to help the minority, which is a good thing, up to a point. But when you ignore the voters and do whatever you want is wrong.
I suggest limiting the winners of the big prizes to once every 3 months, but let them get a smaller prize for their efforts if they get the votes in between.
I dont think Im making my point clear, Im not very good with words, but I hope you can understand what I mean. Thank you for listening.

No, you're making sense! I really appreciate the feedback too! What I'd hoped to do was not so much trying to help the minorities, but that I really want to encourage more people to be active! We have a lot of people who I think deserve to win at some point (*cough* MagicalWitness *cough*) Heck, it took plasmafire months of being quite active to win because he kept coming in 3rd place or so every time until some of the other people won and got ruled out for a while!
But it should be fun to cut the limit back down to only people who haven't won in the past 4 contests, and we'll have a bit of a competition going on! HAHA. If there are enough votes and enough people who get a lot, we could have as many as 3 people winning bigger prizes!
I don't think I will have to limit the cost of the prize given out too much. People who win, don't usually get the most expensive thing they can anyway. When I won I almost took the Nightmare Box, then I felt bad so I changed my mind and took the Goldfish Scarf that was worth 14K at the time.... well now it's worth maybe 400 HAHA oh well.
So, what do people think of the raffling prizes off to people who don't win, but get votes? So far, I total up the points each person has and then automatically give them that many tickets. I raffle off 5-15 prizes depending on how many people got votes.
My idea behind this was in two parts.... people who only get one vote all month still have a chance to win! I like this because it makes it worthwhile to nominate someone even if you know they'll not get the most votes. It also helps with the repeat winners. Gothichearts did not win last month because I still had that limit on, but with the raffling of smaller prizes, she almost always wins something since she gets so many votes!

I've wondered if I should make people write one nice thing that was done by each person they vote for. This would help make sure the votes are for people who are helping out the clan and its members and also would make them fun to read and help people feel appreciated. But it'd also be more work for the voters. I try to do this every month anyway so if you want a sample check my votes. Would people consider this too much hassle, or do you like the idea?
